After a Week 4 loss to the Chicago Bears, Packers Head Coach Mike McCarthy was under fire by the Media and players alike.
Including his own Quarterback.
Aaron Rodgers criticized McCarthy for his decision to not attempt an onside kick for a comeback.
"We had no timeouts and there was still time left on the clock. We all thought he was gonna try for an onside kick to give us a chance to win. Instead he had Mason do a full kickoff and just hope our Defense can somehow win the game." Rodgers stated in an interview.
McCarthy defended his actions by stating "I thought our Defense could get us back the ball. It's hard to win games in this league."
Not exactly the words you want to hear if you're a Packers fan.
Lets not forget that McCarthy also said that he "Was turning over a new leaf."
That of course was a lie as Mike was back to his old conservative ways.
After the Packers lost to the Bears 27-20 in Week 4, the Green and Gold rattled off 4 straight wins with Aaron Rodgers playing like the MVP he is.
But things got bad on Sunday Night Football when the Packers welcomed the Bears to historic Lambeau Field.
The Packers should of won the game and split the series, instead things took a turn for the worse. The Bears came in and just stomped the Packers with the lights on bright 30-13.
Cameras caught Rodgers and other Teammates constantly talking to McCarthy and other Coaches throughout the game.
"It was bad. Mike wanted to run the ball when we should of passed. Then it was vice versa. We never we're on the same page. It got bad for all of us." Rodgers said.
McCarthy was then under scrutiny for his decision to keep punting the ball late in the 4th Quarter with the Packers down on the scoreboard.
After the game, Twitter exploded with Coaches across the NFL, fans, and Analysts alike voicing their frustration with the Packers Head Coach..
"You have Aaron Rodgers as your Quarterback and you punt in the 4th Quarter losing big." - Colin Cowherd.
"McCarthy may be a good Coach, his problem however is he's Coaching like it's 2010 again expecting Rodgers and the Defense to bail him out." - Bears Head Coach Marc Trestman stated.
"I can't believe you didn't have the balls to try and win." Cardinals Head Coach Bruce Arians said.
"I have never seen such conservative Play calling in my entire life." - Colts Head Coach Chuck Pagano.
"You have Aaron Rodgers at Quarterback and you don't go for it. That's embarrassing." 49ers Head Coach Jim Harbaugh.
The list goes on. Even Packers Players voiced their frustration.
"We have Rodgers at Quarterback and you leave him on the bench to punt the ball. What is wrong with that picture?" WR Jordy Nelson stated.
Packers CEO Mark Murphy is also not happy with how his Coach has been handling the year.
"We lost games we should of won. Mike is responsible for everything that happens on the Football field. As far as Sunday Night goes based on the conversations I've had with Mike and Aaron I am not happy with what's going on. I'm watching this team VERY closely this year. Mike knows he needs to do a better job." Murphy stated.
With the drama boiling, it's gonna be interesting to see how Aaron Rodgers and the Packers get a long with McCarthy as the season winds down over these last 7 games.
