Cleveland's Defense suffocates Houston.. BROWNS crush TEXANS 48-3...

    RECAP

BELIEVELAND- Cleveland Browns Offensive Coordinator Kyle Shanahan stood at the podium with a huge smile on his face.

"Possibly the best performance we had as a Football Team this year." He stated.

The Cleveland Browns(7-3) racked up 551 yards of Offense, and 614 Total Yards today in front of the Browns Faithful.

"When you have a good performance like that you're going to win a lot of Football games." Shanahan stated.

The Browns dropped 48 points with Quarterback Brian Hoyer having a bounce back week.

Hoyer threw 319 yards and 3 Touchdowns as the Browns(7-3) raced out to a 38-0 Halftime lead at First Energy Stadium.

The Houston Texans(3-7) struggled to get anything going with Quarterback Case Keenum throwing for only 153 yards.

The Browns Defense picked off Keenum 3 times and each time put points up on the board.

Browns CB Joe Haden had the first, Safety Tashaun Gipson had the other 2.

Cleveland's Defense held Houston to just 10 First downs, 290 Total yards and a Field Goal.

Texans Running Back Arian Foster had 85 yards with no Touchdowns. Browns Rookie RB CJ Mintshaw had 114 yards and 2 Touchdowns.

"Today was a great performance by us as a Football team. We're playing great Football this year and the guys in this locker room are hungry for the future. I couldn't be prouder." Browns Head Coach Mike Pettine stated.

Pettine went with Brian Hoyer despite his struggles last Thursday in the "Battle of Ohio."

"Every Quarterback in this league is going to have a bad game from time to time. It happens. He's our Quarterback and we rally behind behind him. We win games with him." Pettine stated.

The Texans(3-7) Defense was completely dominated today as the Browns WR's we're catching the balls all over the field.

Miles Austin had 135 yards, 8 catches, 1 Touchdown.

Rookie WR Zack Summers had 8 catches, 149 yards, no Touchdowns.

    Hoyer's 2 TD's we're to TE Jordan Cameron.

"We talk about spreading the ball each week and today we we're a very good Offensive unit." Browns Offensive Coordinator Kyle Shanahan stated.

With the loss, the Houston Texans(3-7) are dealt a blow to any chances of playoffs. Although they are not yet eliminated with how poorly the AFC South is this year.

"This game was absolutely horrible for us. We made a lot of mistakes today but Cleveland is a really good Football team. 3 turnovers are unacceptable. 3 Points are unacceptable. Lot to work on this week." Texans Head Coach Bill O'Brien stated.

"Lot of work to do on Defense. 48 points is not acceptable." Texans Defensive Coordinator Romeo Crennel stated.

He's in his first year with O'Brien as the D.C.

With the Browns up 41-3 in the 4th Quarter, Pettine turned to Manziel for some more experience.

Manziel had an epic 4th Quarter Comeback last Thursday in Cincinnati.

"It was a good oppourtunity for him to get some more experience as an NFL Quarterback." Pettine said.

Manziel threw 94 yards and rushed for 13. He had no Touchdowns but handed off to Mintshaw.

    The Browns had no turnovers.

"Lot of excitement and energy in this locker room, I'm happy to be apart of it." Manziel stated.

After a rough Sunday Night loss last week in which the Packers we're swept by the Chicago Bears, the Packers began to make news in a bad ways. Players we're upset with Head Coach Mike McCarthy and his bad play calling and choice to punt the ball when losing in the 4th Quarter. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers called McCarthy out and soon Mike was under fire by other NFL Coaches across the league. Packers CEO Mark Murphy is reported on watching the Staff closely. At 6-3 the Packers are still in a position to chase the Bears for the North title or make a Wild Card. However Dom Capers Defense sits at 30th in the league and McCarthy is refusing to make changes. The Eagles welcomed back Nick Foles last week in the Birds victory over the Panthers last Monday Night.

Foles leads EAGLES to 42-16 victory over PACKERS....

          RECAP

Green Bay, WI- The Green Bay Packers(6-4) are in trouble.

The Offense is starting to show signs of McCarthy's bad playcalling and the Defense can't stop anybody.

"We're still in a good place at 6-4. We just need to execute better." Packers Head Coach Mike McCarthy stated.

The Philadelphia Eagles(6-4) came into Lambeau today and just dominated the entire game marching up and down the field at will.

Nick Foles had 225 yards, 3 Touchdowns and 2 picks.

The Eagles took a 21-3 lead into halftime.

"We played great today. Moved the ball well I thought." Eagles Head Coach Chip Kelly stated.

The Packers struggled all game as Quarterback Aaron Rodgers was attempting to make whatever he could work against the Eagles.

Rodgers had 306 yards 1 Touchdown, and a pick.

His Interception was returned for a Touchdown.

Throughout the game many players we're seen having words with Mike McCarthy.

This has become a routine thing.

The Packers Head Coach is still convinced his System will work and refuses to fire Dom Capers, his Defensive Coordinator.

"He's a great Coach. We're lucky to have him." McCarthy stated.

The Packers Defense ranks 30th and the Eagles racked up 395 yards of Offense as Nick Foles disected the Secondary.

Green Bay can't stop the run either as Darren Sproles racked up 125 yards and 2 Touchdowns.

The Eagles Defense made life miserable for Aaron Rodgers dropping the Packers QB 8 times and hitting him majority of the game.

Rodgers has let it known that he's fed up with the System and camera's caught him having words with McCarthy.

"This is the same System we ran 4 years ago. Times change and Mike is refusing to recognize that." Rodgers stated.

The Packers Offense is so stale that everyone is covered from the snap.

Possibly Game of the Week as the red hot defending Champion, Seattle Seahawks head to Kansas City to face the Chiefs. KC's Defense has been quite a monster this year as the Chiefs lead the AFC West. The Seahawks trail Arizona in the NFC West so a win here will put them in a tie for First place for now. The Hawks have won 3 straight and they get hotter as the year goes on. This should be a good Defensive game where anything will happen. It's gonna come down to who's Defense shows up more?

CHIEFS knock off SEAHAWKS 27-24 in Overtime...

              RECAP

Kansas City, MO- If there was a mirror image of the Seattle Seahawks in the AFC this year, it would be the Kansas City Chiefs.

              Hands down.

The Kansas City Chiefs(8-2) Defense made life miserable for the defending Champions at Arrowhead Stadium today.

"It's like looking in the mirror. We pride ourselves the past couple years with how great we've been on Defense. Today it's like we we're staring at ourselves. The Chiefs are a really good Football team. Andy (Reid) has done a hell of a job with them." Seahawks Head Coach Pete Carroll stated.

The Seahawks(7-3) struggled to pass the ball against the Chiefs(8-2) Defense.

But Offensive Coordinator Darrell Bevell made adjustments.

After Seahawks Quarterback had thrown a Interception and was struggling to move the ball, the Seahawks ran the ball.

Wilson had 132 yards off 11 carries. No touchdowns.

Then BEAST MODE brought life to the defending Champions. Lynch had 152 yards off 25 carries and 2 Touchdowns.

KC had a 21-7 halftime lead.

The score was 21 all entering the 4th Quarter.

"It was a chess matchup for sure. We both wanted to run the ball and we both couldn't stop it. Lots to improve on for sure but the Seahawks are defending Champions for a reason." Chiefs Head Coach Andy Reid stated.

Chiefs Running Back Jamaal Charles completely dominated the Seahawks Defense racking up 217 yards off 30 carries with a Touchdown.

"He just ran us over today." Seahawks Defensive Coordinator Dan Quinn stated.

Backup Quarterback Chase Daniel threw 172 yards and 2 Touchdowns.

Franchise Quarterback Alex Smith will return next week.

With the score tied at 21, the Teams exchanged Field Goals and we headed to Overtime.

Seattle held Kansas City to a Field Goal and the Hawks we're given a chance to win with Russell Wilson back on the field.

However his first pass was intercepted by Rookie Safety Malcom Bronson ending the game and sealing the 27-24 victory.

"It was a tough one for us today. That Defense was just amazing. We need to be more prepared." Seahawks Quarterback Russell Wilson stated.

"Great win for us and we need to get ready to get back to work ASAP cause we're on a short week this week." Reid said.

The Chiefs(8-2) are playing again when they kick off Week 12 for Thursday Night Football.

In a Battle of NFC South bottom dwellers, the Falcons and Panthers are both on life support. Carolina has lost 9 straight and a loss should eliminate them from playoff contention a year after winning the NFC South. The Panthers are struggling due to QB Cam Newton's inconsistencies while backup Veteran Derek Anderson is trying to give Carolina some life. At 1-9, the Panthers are on the verge of being on the couch in January while Ron Rivera tries to figure out what went wrong with Newton. The Falcons are on a 5 game losing streak and Mike Smith's System just isn't doing it anymore. At 2-7, the Dirty Birds can still somehow make 9-7 but even then that might not be good enough for a Wild Card spot given how tough the NFC is this year.

                Panthers Offense: 29
                Panthers Defense: 32

                Falcons Offense: 25

FALCONS push PANTHERS to brink of Elimination with 31-17 Victory....

                  RECAP

Charlotte, NC- The Carolina Panthers(1-10) are on the verge of being eliminated from Playoff Contention after losing their 10th straight game today.

The Atlanta Falcons(3-7) dominated their South Rivals racking up 424 yards.

"Tough loss for us today and it's been a real tough year for us here. We're all looking forward to making some changes soon." Panthers Head Coach Ron Rivera stated.

Veteran backup QB Derek Anderson struggled throwing 2 picks and no Touchdowns.

He had an injury scare late in the 4th and Cam Newton came off the bench and lead a TD Drive.

It only made the score less lopsided.

Matt Ryan had 235 yards a Touchdown, and a pick.

A lot of his passes we're dropped by Rookie TE Austin Hooper who had trouble holding on to the football.

Both Falcons RB Steven Jackson and Panthers RB Deangelo Williams had over 100 yards rushing.

"Tough battle for us for sure against a Division Rival. We dug in deep and pulled it out." Falcons Head Coach Mike Smith stated.

With the loss, the Panthers(1-10) Season now falls on the San Francisco 49ers.

If the 9ers beat the Giants later today then Carolina will officially be eliminated from Playoffs.

"It's tough when it's out of your hands but we've been struggling all year." Rivera stated.

After a 3-0 start, the New Orleans Saints have fallen to 4-5 on the Season and are in danger of missing out on the playoffs if they can't figure out how to win games. During the losing skid, QB Drew Brees has been turning the ball over on a daily basis. The Saints Defense has been given too much to handle due to Brees inconsistencies and now the Saints are below .500. A win over the Bengals today could give them some confidence to race to the finish line and push for a Wild Card spot. The Bengals at 5-4 lost the first matchup in the "Battle of Ohio" to rival Browns. Cincy will need a win today to keep pace with the Browns for the North lead.

                      RECAP

New Orleans, LA- The New Orleans Saints have been up and down this year from Opening Sunday on. They started off 3-0 and went on a 4 game losing streak.

"Up and down for us this year but we're still in the hunt and the guys we have in the locker room know what's at stake." Saints Head Coach Sean Payton said.

The New Orleans Saints(5-5) rebounded today with a crushing 34-13 victory over Andy Dalton and the Cincinnati Bengals(5-5).

"We know what's in front of us. We're hungry to get there." Saints Quaterback Drew Brees stated.

Brees was Brees today. Throwing for 308 yards and 3 Touchdowns and a pick.

The Bengals struggled only kicking Field Goals as the Saints took a 13-6 lead into halftime.

Cincinnati struggled in the Red Zone against the Saints. They kicked 2 Field Goals and we're stopped at the 1 yard line on 4 straight runs.

"Our guys did an amazing job today on that side of the ball. Especially in the Red Zone." Saints Defensive Coordinator Rob Ryan stated.

The Bengals(5-5) struggled on Defense as well as Brees passed all over them in the air and Running Back Mark Ingram had 85 yards off just 2 carries thanks to a 80 yard breakaway.

"We we're outplayed in all 3 aspects of the game. Rough day for us." Bengals Head Coach Marvin Lewis stated.

Bengals Quarterback Andy Dalton struggled vs the Saints Defense with a Touchdown and a Pick with 295 yards.

The Saints outscored the Bengals 21-7 in the second half to put the game away for good.

A pass to AJ Green in the Red Zone was fumbled when he took a hit.

"We we're just bad in the Red Zone today. Absolutely rough day." Lewis continued.

The Bengals(5-5) still finished the day with 581 yards as Running Back Giovanni Bernard had 104 yards and no Touchdowns.

With the Playoff Race beginning to heat up both the Saints and Bengals now look to push for January.

                          RECAP

Landover, MD- In what was supposed to be an exciting return for Robert Griffin III turned into a disaster.

The former #2 2012 Pick made his return today to the Washington Redskins(1-9) who have now lost 8 straight.

RG3 who has seen very little playing time this year due to numerous injuries played the whole game.

But it was a disaster. Griffin had 2 picks and only 111 yards as his accuracy was suspect from the beginning. He was 8/18 and sacked 7 times.

"It was his first game back and the weather did us no favors either. It was pouring down." Redskins Head Coach Jay Gruden stated.

But when RG3 ran he fumbled the ball 3 times as he struggled to hold onto the ball in the pouring down rain.

"Wasn't exactly the way I wanted to return." Griffin III stated.

Washington(1-9) handed the Tampa Bay Buccaneers(9-1) their 9th straight win.

Quarterback Josh McCown threw 172 yards and a Touchdown.

Tampa never turned the ball over once.

But the Buccaneers we're held constantly inside the Red Zone resorting to 4 Field Goals.

"Only having one Offensive Touchdown is rough. We need to be a lot better inside the 20." Buccaneers Offensive Coordinator Jeff Tedford stated.

"Even in the rain I thought we played pretty good football given the circumstances. It was that old school smash mouth football." Buccaneers Head Coach Lovie Smith stated.

Smith has done a phenomenal job this year in Tampa Bay. Winning 9 straight games.

The Buccaneers ran the ball with backup Running Back Bobby Rainey 30 times who got 132 yards and no scores.

The Redskins struggled in the Run Game vs the Bucs Defense. Alfred Morris had just 44 yards off 11 carries.

"We couldn't get the run game going at all and that's something we need to work on for next week." Gruden stated.

Buccaneers Linebacker Lavonte David had 3 sacks.

The Redskins(1-9) are still alive in the Playoff hunt for now after losing their 8th straight game.

The Buccaneers(9-1) are closing in on their first NFC South Title since 2007, which was also the last time the Bucs made the playoffs.

A Wildcard loss to the Super Bowl Champions, New York Giants.

The Denver Broncos will attempt to continue their climb out of their 2-6-1 hole that Peyton Manning has put them in. This week they take a trip to St. Louis where they will face the struggling Rams who have lost 3 straight. Denver cannot afford anymore losses if they wish to keep pushing for Playoffs. Denver will need to win out and go 9-6-1 for a shot at January. Kansas City or San Diego will win the Division but right now Denver can still control it's own Destiny. But they will need help along the way.

                              RECAP

St. Louis, MO- In what was another step of climbing out of their hole, the Denver Broncos(2-7-1) have stumbled back down a step.

"It was a tough loss for us. By far the toughest one of the year for us. We we're trying to climb out of the hole and another loss just might of knocked us out for good." Broncos Head Coach John Fox stated.

The good news for Denver(2-7-1) however is that the Wildcards ain't accounted for.

                              Yet.

With a few more games to go in Week 11, Denver will have to hold their breath to see where their destiny lies.

"It was a rough loss for us. That was one we needed to win." Broncos Quarterback Peyton Manning stated.

The St. Louis Rams(4-6) are also in an uphill climb as they sit in last place in the NFC West.

"At this point in the year, every game is twice as much of a win." Rams Head Coach Jeff Fisher stated.

Manning threw 250 yards and a Touchdown as he finally managed to have a game with no Turnovers.

Bradford had 224 yards with 2 Touchdowns and a pick.

The Rams took a 14-6 lead into halftime with St. Louis's Defense really showing up.

The Master of the "Bounty Gate" during the 2009 Season in New Orleans, Defensive Coordinator Gregg Williams joined Fisher's Staff this year.

He's helped turned the Rams Defense in a turnaround.

Today the Rams sacked Manning 8 times and held Denver out of the End Zone the whole first half.

"Great job by our guys today in the Red Zone. Keeping a quality Quarterback like Manning out of the End Zone speaks volumes." Williams stated.

The Rams had 468 Total yards while holding Denver to just 304.
