After a 27 point comeback vs the Giants, the Lions head to Carolina who are coming off a monstrous 58-31 thrashing of the Bucs. Detroit is looking to keep the momentum after the "Miracle in Motown" and take control of the North while Carolina is ready to defend their jungle in the South.

LIONS face PANTHERS with momentum on both sides....

      PREVIEW

Charlotte, NC- It's only week 2 and the Detroit Lions(1-0) will meet the Carolina Panthers(1-0) on Sunday with both teams having momentum on their sides.

Last week the Lions mounted a 27 point 4th Quarter Comeback "The Miracle in Mo-Town" to knock off Eli Manning and the New York Giants.

Carolina on the other hand thrashed their Division rival Tampa Bay Buccaneers 58-31 in which Bucs Quarterback Josh McCown tossed 5 interceptions.

It's a collision course for sure on Sunday.

"Last week was a miracle for us. The guys never quit." Lions Head Coach Jim Caldwell stated. "But each week brings a new challenge for us so we're on to the next game and that's Carolina."

The Lions will enter Carolina with the 23rd Offense and 13th Defense. Not to shabby on the defensive side of the ball.

Carolina has a top 10 Offense (7th) but is struggling on defense (25th).

"We been working hard all week getting our Offense in rhythm." Lions Offensive Coordinator Joe Lombardi stated.

"It's going to be a challenge for sure. Detroit has Matthew (Stafford) and he has a lot of weapons to work with." Panthers Defensive Coordinator Sean McDermott stated.

Last week, Matthew Stafford threw for 3 Touchdowns to lead that epic comeback.

"Great group of guys in here. We fight for each other and won't stop." Lions Quarterback Matthew Stafford stated.

"Detroit is a tough team. They can beat you in so many ways. We need to make sure that doesn't happen and keep them at bay." Panthers Head Coach Ron Rivera stated.

The Lions will be tasked with keeping duel threat Cam Newton at bay.

"It's another game for us. Detroit presents a great test and we feel we can contend with anyone." Panthers Quarterback Cam Newton stated.

Charlotte, NC- The Lions proved to be the kings of the jungle with a defense that was so smothering it held Carolina to just 6 points a week after dropping 58.

Cam Newton and company was pedestrian vs the Lions defense. They struggled to get anything going on the ground and in the air. They also never once saw the Red Zone.

"Unacceptable performance. Lot of work to do this week." Panthers Head Coach Ron Rivera stated.

Panthers Quarterback Cam Newton refused to answer any questions just sat at his locker under a towel.

"He takes losing personally. We're all upset after a poor performance like that." Panthers Cornerback Josh Norman stated.

"It's a long season and bad games will happen. Today was just a bad game. Still another game to play next week." Panthers RB Deangelo Williams stated.

The Panthers(1-1) will need to get back to the drawing board quick as they face the Steelers(1-1) next week.

The Lions(2-0) face Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers(1-0) next week.

The Rams got off a to a hot start last week as Sam Bradford threw for 6 Touchdowns before going down with broken ribs. Head Coach Jeff Fisher is hoping backup QB Shaun Hill can mimic the same fast start when they head to Tampa Bay. Bucs Quarterback Josh McCown had a ugly performance last week throwing 5 interceptions to the Panthers.

Quick note: Alright so the past few games I've found some unrealism. I'm using Armor and Swords sliders and decided to tweak some just a bit. To fix this I went ahead and played the last few games of Week 2.

A/N: Alright so the past few games we're flawed I had to tweak the sliders. Due to this I decided to scrap the rest of Week 2 recap. I tweaked some sliders and went ahead and played the Week 3 Thursday night game to test it out.

The Bucs beat the Falcons 27-24 due to a Josh McCown GWD.

Franchise Quarterback Phillip Rivers makes his return to the team after nursing a injury suffered in Pre-Season. The Bolts go on the road this week to battle a decent Bills team that is coming off a tough Division loss to the Dolphins last week. But the Bills are rocking a middle of the pack defense that can make life miserable for the opposition.
But the Chargers are riding high on confidence after knocking off defending Champions Seahawks in OT last week.

With Tony Romo hurt, Dallas turns to Brandon Weeden. How far can Big D go?

The Dallas Cowboys find themselves in familiar territory, losing Quarterback Tony Romo to a injury and looking towards a backup to play. The Cowboys have jumped out to a quick 2-0 start to the season with victories over the 49ers and Titans. But now Dallas has turned to backup Brandon Weeden as the Boyz' get ready to face off against the St. Louis Rams on Sunday.

"This game comes with injuries. It sucks seeing guys get hurt and go down but we as a football team know we have to take adversity head on." Cowboys Head Coach Jason Garrett stated.

The Cowboys announced last week that Tony Romo suffered a shoulder tear and is expected to miss the next three games when Dallas plays Rams, Saints, and Texans.

They expect him back for a Week 6 matchup against the Seahawks in Seattle.

"Tony is the heart and soul of this team and we know we can't replace him so we have to keep playing and let him heal." Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones stated.

He also just signed Brock Berlin to fill the #2 spot.

As the Cowboys prepare for their road trip to St. Louis, Brandon Weeden is taking the pressure head on.

"I trust the guys in this Locker room. They know me and how much of a player I am. I expect us to go out there and try to win some games." Weeden stated.

The Cowboys are 100% ALL IN on Brandon Weeden as the backup prepares for his first start of 2014.

"He's a great Quarterback. He brings a lot of energy and hard work to the Quarterbacks room." Cowboys longtime QB Coach Wade Wilson said.

"We have all the confidence in the world in Brandon. We feel he will give us great chances to win football games." Head Coach Jason Garrett stated.

Tony Romo will travel with the team nursing his shoulder and it's known that he is also attending meetings to help prepare Weeden and Berlin.
