        RECAP

ARIZONA- Losing Franchise Quarterback Phillip Rivers has sent San Diego's offense into a tail spin to start the year. San Diego turned to backup Kellen Clemens for tonights primetime matchup and it was a disaster.

Clemens only completed 3 passes and San Diego punted constantly.

By the end of the 3rd Quarter, Head Coach Mike McCoy has seen enough from Kellen Clemens and benched him for rookie Brad Sorensen.

It proved to be better but not by much.

The rookie breathed life into the Offense and led San Diego down for a Touchdown.

Arizona wouldn't allow more than 10 points and took advantage of the Rookie.

San Diego answered by keeping Arizona to mostly Field Goals and picking off Carson Palmer 3 times but with a offense in a tailspin it didn't do any favors.

"It was a rough game for us. I had to play both Quarterbacks tonight to find answers for our offense." Chargers Head Coach Mike McCoy stated.

Phillip Rivers is not due back until Week 3 when San Diego plays in Buffalo.

More bad news struck for the Bolts when WR Eddie Royal broke his Collarbone in todays game and is expected to miss 6 games.

Already a blow for a Offense struggling out of the gate.

"I'm pleased with how we battled through the turnovers." Cardinals Head Coach Bruce Arians stated.

        UP NEXT

Arizona Cardinals(1-0) @ New York Giants(0-1) on Sunday afternoon

San Diego Chargers(0-1) host Seattle Seahawks(1-0) next sunday.

                THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL WEEK 2...

RAVENS look to keep flying without Franchise Quarterback Joe Flacco as STEELERS come to town....

                PREVIEW

BALTIMORE- The Baltimore Ravens(0-1) will get a eerie glimpse of a future without Franchise Quarterback Joe Flacco tonight as they host AFC North rival, the Pittsburgh Steelers(1-0).

Flacco was injured on the first snap of the game last sunday when the Ravens fell to rivals Cincinnati Bengals(1-0).

Backup QB Tyrod Taylor finished the game and played pretty well.

                (2 Touchdowns 1 pick and 387 yards).

"Sucks when you lose players but it comes with the sport." Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh stated. "We feel confident with Tyrod and confident we can win some games with him."

"I'm ready to lead this team." Ravens Quarterback Tyrod Taylor stated. "Sucks not having Joe (Flacco) with us but we gotta go out there and handle our business. It's another North Opponent. We need to defend our house."

The Ravens lost last week 38-26.

The Steelers humbled Johnny Manziel in his NFL debut and thrashed Cleveland 30-17.

"It's another Division game for us." Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin stated. "Baltimore is always a great test for us."

The Ravens have lost Quarterback Joe Flacco for 7 more games and must figure out how to keep the flock flying.

Baltimore has also lost Running back Ray Rice for 3 games.

Baltimore will turn to Bernard Pierce, Justin Forsett, and Fullback Kyle Juszcyyk for carries.

The Steelers have the "Killer B's" but a defense that's ranking in the bottom half of categories. Granted it's only week two.

"We need to keep the momentum going for us." Steelers Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger stated.

RAVENS fly high with 31-14 win over STEELERS!

                  RECAP

BALTIMORE- When Franchise Quarterback Joe Flacco went down last week, the season seemed lost. All hope seemed to be gone in Ravens nation. Social Media exploded with many claims of the Ravens starting 0-8 and the season was over before it even began.

Things are looking to be different now as the Ravens(1-1) stomped their rivals Steelers(1-1) 31-14 tonight on Thursday Night football with great defense that picked off Ben Roethlisberger 5 times.

Tyrod Taylor was solid himself. Throwing for 245 yards with a Touchdown and a pick.

"We have confidence in this locker room." Ravens Quarterback Tyrod Taylor stated. "We keep fighting for each other and every week we feel we can compete with anyone."

"After Joe (Flacco) went down many people wrote us off. We have great confidence in Taylor and are ready to keep going." Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh stated.

Steelers Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was anything but that. Big Ben had a touchdown and 5 picks against that Ravens defense.

The feeling of frustration was known immediately in the Locker Room afterwards.

"Losing is never fun. Baltimore is a tough team and tonight they were better than us." Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin stated.

When asked about his Quarterbacks performance.

"Ben had a bad game. It happens. We need to be better as a team. We're onto Carolina next week."

Roethlisberger let his frustration be known.

"Losing games is never fun. I played bad but it wasn't all my fault." Said the 2x Super Bowl Champion.

When asked to elaborate, Roethlisberger shook his head. "No comment."

"Well he ain't wrong." Steelers WR Antonio Brown stated. "But then again he did throw 5 interceptions."

The star WR was held to 5 catches for 63 yards and no TD.

"I get everybody is frustrated with losing but we need to rebound as a team for next week." Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell stated.

He had 16 carries for 71 yards. No Touchdowns.

Steelers Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger takes more shots at team's performance after Ravens loss...

                      9/12/14

                      Mike Adall

After Baltimore Ravens Quarterback Joe Flacco went down on the first snap of opening day resulting in a 38-26 loss to the Bengals. Many predicted the Ravens to go 0-8 in the first half of the year while Flacco healed up. Things looked worse when it was announced that backup Quarterback Tyrod Taylor would be the starter during the 8 weeks.

The rest of the AFC North should be licking their chops now at the easy pickings left in Baltimore with a backup QB.

                      Especially the Steelers.

But last night was not the case.

Baltimore's first test without Joe Flacco was last night on Thursday Night Football when they hosted the Steelers.

Pittsburgh should of won by a landslide. They didn't.

The Ravens pulled away with a 31-14 victory in which the defense picked off Roethlisberger 5 times.

The team left Baltimore frustrated but Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger took to his radio show in Pittsburgh to vent his feelings.

"Look we lost last night. I played bad. It wasn't entirely my fault though. Our receivers need to run their routes and the defense needs to do their job." Roethlisberger stated.

Local tweets after the game from Antonio Brown stated "We are all frustrated right now."

"I'm the leader of this team. It's frustrating we lost but now we have to get ready for Carolina and the whole team needs to be better." Roethlisberger added.

Buffalo Bills look for answers after blowing lead last week vs Jay Cutler and the Chicago Bears. Dolphins look to keep momentum going after upsetting Tom Brady and the Patriots.

BUFFALO- The Miami Dolphins are confident and they have every right to be. Last week they upset Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. The Buffalo Bills however are left licking their wounds after allowing a Jay Cutler Game Winning drive in Overtime last week.

"Games will go like that sometimes." Bills Head Coach Doug Marrone stated. "I thought we had Chicago beat but give them credit they got us in OT. It's a matter of crossing a game off and getting ready for the next one."

The Bills(0-1) will look to bounce back today as they face their first division game against Ryan Tannehill and the Dolphins(1-0).

The Bills have 5 Quarterbacks on the roster but have stuck with EJ Manuel for now. He was great last week vs the Bears.

"Every week is a new week. We have quite a few Quarterbacks on our team and they all have potential. Each week we evaluate everybody but right now EJ is our guy." Bills Offensive Coordinator Nathaniel Hackett stated.

The Bills will look to turn around their defense as well as they were ran over last week in Chicago. It's been known that Bills Defensive Coordinator Jim Schwartz was not happy with his teams performance vs Chicago.

"It was one game. Bad games happen. We still have a long season. Got to get ready for Miami." Schwartz stated.

The Bills come into Week 2 with Miami ranked middle of the pack in just about all categories.

The Dolphins defense however is Top 10 in just about every one.

"It's just one game. We feel confident we can keep playing like this however." Dolphins Safety Reshad Jones stated.

The Dolphins defense should have a much lighter task today as they face EJ Manuel and not Tom Brady.

Dolphins Quarterback Ryan Tannehill has suffered broken ribs in todays loss to the Buffalo Bills. Backup Quarterback Matt Moore came in and struggled to do anything with the football.

Dolphins Head Coach Joe Philbin has seen enough.

                            It's official.

                            Marcus Vick is back.

The younger brother of Michael Vick who has seen his share of legal troubles over the years and had a small stint with the Dolphins back in 2006 when he went undrafted in the 2006 NFL Draft.

Nobody wanted him due to his criminal background. Not even Miami.

                            Marcus Vick left.

Then Joe Philbin reached out. The Head Coach who has a way of developing Quarterbacks (Aaron Rodgers) and offenses.

"I was aware of his past. Michael had a past and Philadelphia gave him his second chance. Marcus deserves one too." Dolphins Head Coach Joe Philbin stated.

Dolphins Owner Stephen Ross and many executives we're open to giving Marcus a second chance.

                            He took it.

"I'm just thankful that the Dolphins reached out to me and offered me a second chance. I look forward to helping this team win games with my talent." Marcus stated.

It's official now. Marcus Vick at 30 years of age will get his first start next week vs the Kansas City Chiefs in Miami.
