GREEN BAY PACKERS: Head Coach Mike McCarthy LOSING THE LOCKER ROOM?

    11/23/14

    Written by: Adam Schefter

Packers Head Coach Mike McCarthy has been making numerous Headlines this Season and not in a good way.

The Packers sit at 7-4 after their victory over the Minnesota Vikings today in which the Offense stumbled in moving the ball despite putting up 35 points.

Many Players inside the locker room have been calling out McCarthy for his conservativeness and refusal in adapting or making adjustments each week.

In a League where GOOD Football Coaches like Bill Belichick, Pete Carroll, and Jim Harbaugh just to name a few makes adjustments, McCarthy does not.

And in 2014, His conservative Play Calling has finally shown it's ugly head. Who can forget him lying to the Media and the fans after their Week 3's Victory over the Lions when he said he turned over a new leaf?

He was back to his old self the very next week in Chicago taking the ball out of Aaron Rodgers hands. The Bears won 27-20.

Many players and Coaches across the league have blown up McCarthy on Social Media for his play it safe attitude. It appears that he has lost the locker room and changes could be coming for the Packers.

MIAMI DOLPHINS: Owner Stephen Ross defends Mike McCarthy, would hire in Miami. "He's a Damn Good Coach."

      11/23/14

      Written by: Arick Delma

It appears Packers Head Coach Mike McCarthy already has a job lined up for next Season if Green Bay chooses to move on. Miami Dolphins Owner Stephen Ross went on record saying he would hire McCarthy in an instant.

Ross is no stranger to Packers Coaches. His Head Coach since 2012 is Joe Philbin, a Packers Assistant and Offensive Coordinator.

But Miami hasn't done much in Philbin's tenure. This year the Dolphins sit at 4-6 and in last place in the AFC East.

Although with the recent Drama going on in Green Bay, Ross has speculated that he will be firing Joe Philbin and hiring Mike McCarthy given the chance.

"It's rough seeing what he's going through over there in Green Bay. He's a damn good Coach and the Packers should be grateful that he brought them a Super Bowl." Ross stated.

After a Week 4 loss to the Tennessee Titans, Colts Quarterback Andrew Luck suffered a broken Collarbone. Indy's Season was lost and Head Coach Chuck Pagano was given a pass as the Colts would fall to 3-7 and on a 4 game losing streak. Today the Colts welcome back their Franchise Quarterback Andrew Luck. Not eliminated from the Playoffs yet, Indianapolis will attempt to climb the Mountain to go 9-7 and hope for a Playoff spot. Time is crucial and Indy can't afford to lose another game.
Jacksonville is 2-8 and in a rebuild year with Rookie Blake Bortles. However the Jags hasn't shown much improvement as Bortles has had some struggles. Head Coach Gus Bradley should still be around for another year as he will see how the 2nd year works out for his new Quarterback.

The Jacksonville Jaguars(3-8) wouldn't stop there however as they took a 20-14 lead into halftime.

"Need to hold onto the football better. My fault." Foster stated.

With the Tennessee Titans sitting at 7-4, the Texans, Colts, and Jaguars are all tied at 3-8 in the AFC South and are still Mathematically in the Playoff hunt and the South Division Title.

"We know where we are in the Division, We still have quite a climb in front of us but we're up for the challenge." O' Brien stated.

With less than 50 seconds left on the clock, Quarterback Andy Dalton led the Bengals down on a 70 yard Game Winning Drive where he connected with new WR Santonio Holmes in the closing seconds.

McCown was picked off in the endzone in the first half killing any chance of 7 points.

"That was rough but Chicago is a great team." McCown added.

McCown's second Interception was a Pick 6 by Rookie CB Kenny Gregory who put the Bears up 21-10.

"Rough start for us there in the first half." Smith stated. "We knew we had to be better in the Second."

And Tampa Bay(9-2) was. Chicago(9-2) got the ball but was held to a FG.

Then the Buccaneers went to work down 24-10. QB Josh McCown and Rookie WR Mike Evans put on a show for the Chicago crowd. Evans finished the day with 11 catches and 169 yards with no Touchdowns.

He became the reliable Receiver in the game. Backup Running Back Bobby Rainey had 112 yards and a score. The Bucs we're mounting their comeback.

They stopped the Bears using the 2 minute warning and their Timeouts down a Touchdown.

McCown led the Buccaneers down on a Game tying Drive but thanks to a missed Tackle by the Bears Secondary left WR Lavelle Hawkins a clear path to the endzone that tied the game at 24-all.

But this left Bears Quarterback Jay Cutler with 49 seconds on the clock and 2 Timeouts.

"We left them too much time I thought. It was unfortunate." Bucs Head Coach Lovie Smith said.

Bears Quarterback Jay Cutler then took the field with the game tied and the Bears crowd rocking for their Team.

"It's great to see how the City of Chicago and the fans are behind us this year. We're all excited for the chance of what's in front of us." Cutler added.

Cutler led the Bears down and with 2 seconds left on the clock, Kicker Robbie Gould booted the game Winner as time expired 27-24.

The Bears ended the Buccaneers 9 game win streak in the process.

The Bears(9-2) win their 3rd straight and will begin their 3 Weeks of PRIMETIME GAMES. They will head to the Motor City in 4 Days to play on THANKSGIVING against the Detroit Lions. Then they will have a Week 14 Thursday Night Football matchup at home vs the Dallas Cowboys. Then in Week 15 the Bears will play on Monday Night Football in Chicago against Drew Brees and the Saints.

SEAHAWKS snap CARDINALS winning Streak with 13-3 victory in Seattle...

                              RECAP

Seattle, WA- The Arizona Cardinals(9-2) we're on a 8 game winning streak and flying high on "Cloud 9". Their Defense ranked among the best in the league and their Running Game was winning Games. Quarterback Carson Palmer was playing game manager and the Cardinals we're the team to beat in the NFC West.

But their toughest challenge came today with a trip to the Pacific Northwest to face the defending Champions the Seattle Seahawks(8-3).

As it was expected, the game was a Defensive Battle from the get-go.

The Cardinals(9-2) found out first hand how good the Seahawks(8-3) still are after winning the Super Bowl. On the other side of the coin, the Hawks found out first hand how great the Cards Defense is this year under Todd Bowles.

"We knew going in how hard this game was going to be for us. The test was facing that Offense." Cardinals Defensive Coordinator Todd Bowles stated.

Seahawks Quarterback Russell Wilson found out how good that Ball Hawking Cards Defense was on the Hawks first drive.

In the Red-zone Wilson was picked off by "Honey Badger" while targeting Percy Harvin. However the Cards only got a Field Goal that sent the score to 7-3 in favor of the Champs at halftime.

The Hawks Defense shut down the Cardinals run holding RB Jonathan Dwyer to just 49 yards on the ground.

With their Running Game shut down, Arizona was forced to throw the ball against the L.o.B Defense.

                              It was a disaster.

Carson Palmer was picked apart and threw 4 Interceptions with most of them coming inside the 20.

Rookie Safety Eddie Malone in for Earl Thomas had a pick, Kam Chancellor had one, and Byron Maxwell had 2.

His second one was off a Hail Mary pass with the Hawks already winning the game.

"They're a really good Defense and a very good Football team. Well coached and they execute very well. Tough one for us today but we know we can bounce back." Cardinals Head Coach Bruce Arians stated.

Palmer had 223 yards as well with no Touchdowns. Arizona struggled to put up points in the Red Zone with just a Field Goal and multiple Interceptions by Palmer.

                              Arizona had 4 Turnovers.

Seattle's Russell Wilson also struggled against the Cards Defense as he was held to just 109 yards and a pick.

"Tough Division Game for us, Bruce has done a phenomenal job with the Cardinals this year. They made us work for every yard." Seahawks Head Coach Pete Carroll stated.

BEAST MODE ran all over the Cardinals racking up 153 yards and a score. However he found out first hand how hard the Cardinals can hit. He took a shot and fumbled the ball.

"They are a hard hitting Unit and we're very physical. Tough Team for sure." Seahawks QB Russell Wilson stated.

Both Defenses we're so good that neither Team finished with 300 yards Total.
                              (Cardinals/287) (Seahawks/289)

Arizona was just 33% inside the Red Zone. Seattle was 100%.

"Being stopped inside the 20 like that is killing us. We need to be much better at that." Cardinals Head Coach Bruce Arians stated.

With the loss and having their 8 game winning streak snapped, Arizona will look to rebound next week in Atlanta.

Seattle will be on a short rest as they head to San Francisco for Thanksgiving Night Football.

"We know how good Seattle is. Defending Champions for a reason. We're still feeling pretty good for the year but we know we have some stuff to work on." Cardinals Head Coach Bruce Arians stated.

Arizona was ran over by Beast Mode for over 150 yards.
