Very strong win, just because it showed a different side of the team other than the point barrage squad that will give you a heart attack! BJ still getting his points, so keeping his name in contention for National honors obviously.

Top Stories - Week 7, 2020
Top Teams Toppled -- #1 Penn State, #3 LSU, #5 Miami, and #10 Auburn were all upset this week, making 6-0 Oklahoma the new #1, with 5-1 Minnesota and 6-0 Stanford rounding out the top 3. All eyes will now be on P5 upstarts MTSU and Westlake State. They currently sit at #8 and #13, respectively, and could make a push for BCS bowl bids in a couple months.
Bill! Bill! Bill! Bill! -- Junior quarterback Bill Johnson joined B.J. Henderson as the only FBS quarterbacks to throw for 7 touchdowns in a game this season, as he completed 30 of 34 passes for 498 and the aforementioned 7 touchdown to lead his team to a 56-35 win at Old Dominion. Johnson has now thrown for 1985 yards and 24 scores through 6 games, and NFL scouts are sure to be watching the Sooners on Saturdays.
Big Ten Shootout -- Minnesota rose to #2, beating #18 Northwestern 45-42 on a last-second field goal. Eric Walker continued his breakout junior year, throwing for 321 yards and 6 scores, and running for 89 more yards to help win his team the game.

Re: #SWARM - RELOADED
Defense has been better than I expected, considering we lost Wilkinson at FS and Young at DE who were by far our best players on D last season. Playing Cincy will be a good test, they have a great QB.
For national honors, I'm really disappointed to him him fall out of the Heisman race. 1991 pass yards, 20 TD, 284 rush yards, 3 TD in 5 games. He could end up throwing for over 5k yards, 50 scores should we play 14 games. NCAA loves scramblers for the Heisman, he'll likely get the Maxwell and O'Brien though.
Thanks for commenting guys!Comment

Y3 G6 Preview - vs Cincinnati
Head to head: Westlake State leads 2-0. The Swarm won 38-24 last year, picking of Greg Moore 4 times to topple the then-unbeaten Bearcats. Last time the teams met in Westlake, it went to OT, where the Swarm won 42-36 in OT.
Coach Barkley's Take
Cincy could give us trouble. Greg Moore is an elite QB, and combined with this offensive line and the weapons he has to throw to, could have a big day. It'll depend on what kind of game our defense plays. We're gonna score points, we know that. This defense isn't good enough to slow down B.J. Hopefully we can get the run game going too, if that happens we will make life miserable for the Bearcat defense.Comment

Re: #SWARM - RELOADED
Man, I want to. I just don't have the time to write up reports that would allow me to advance at the speed I want to advance at. I don't like half-assing stuff. If I'm gonna report, it's gonna be in my style, but the issue there is that it takes so long, and I really just wanna get deep into a dynasty. I started a new one, using your bitter rivals WVU in 2020 haha, actually just won the backyard brawl 66-59 in OT, takes me to 5-6 in my first year (Pitt at 3-9 they need CJ Kirk bad!)
School's caught up with me, I have a part time research/script writing project I'm being paid to do, and I'm training for soccer every day. Twice a week I make a 2 hour commute for athletic training, I leave the house at 9:15 and I'm back at like 3, then I still have to train, study, and I try to read for an hour a day, currently reading Thomas Sowell's Basic Economics as well as a book on postmodernism. Trying to be well rounded haha. Pretty full days, and I sometimes take some time to stretch so I don't tear my hamstring again, and some time to keep up with world events, as I'm trying to learn to play the stock market.
Glad you're keeping at it with the Pitt report though - I've watched a few of the videos but haven't sat down and read the thread lately, or anyone else's for that matter. I'll get around to it soon enough.
Man the summer is so great. I can play games and report all day with no responsibilities. I have so much stuff going on right now that's far more important to securing my future than NCAA reporting is, even though it's a ton of fun. I'm just gonna have to live vicariously through the guys on this board, and stick to recording my dynasty on Excel.
Maybe I'll pick this back up one day. Didn't delete the files, they're still right where I left em.

Re: #SWARM - RELOADED
Haha, I know man, no worries, I was just busting your chops especially since I saw you posting over in the NCAA forum with your sliders (definitely taking a look at implementing a few of your thoughts into my dynasty by the way!). I know how you feel, definitely a busy time of year, especially like you said with school for yourself, work for myself, and everything else going on. It's just a fun little hobby we all have, so no one will ever blame you for not having the time to do the report! Time is definitely at a premium right now, for sure... good to hear you're busy with positive stuff, wishing you well man!Check out my Pitt Panthers Dynasty (NCAA Football 14)

Re: #SWARM - RELOADED
Apparently I played the Cincinnati game before I stopped playing this dynasty in late 2020. No pictures of it though. I'm gonna write up that recap soon.
Anyway, I recreated all my graphics (still had most of them, just some minor edits I needed to redo) and I'm gonna look to get through about 2 games a week for the summer. I leave for university in about 9-10 weeks, not sure if the Xbox will come with me. I highly doubt it, but you never know. I wanna finish out this season and the next before then, and then see if I wanna keep this going or take another extended break.
I have a brand new slider set which can be found here. I have my old set on deck if I ever want to switch back, but I think this plays a better game of football.
Moving down to 8 minute quarters, also something that could change back.Comment

4th quarter comeback keeps Swarm unbeaten
Report by Isaac Robinson | October 18th, 2020
Henderson's 6 total scores, 500+ total yards dampened by 4 turnovers
Westlake, OH -- "Every win counts," said Westlake State head coach Dion Barkley after his now #8 ranked Swarm moved to 6-0 on the season, mounting a late rally to beat the Cincinnati Bearcats.
He's right. The 49-45 win is enough to move the still-unbeaten Swarm up to #8 in the polls, just a few weeks out from the big matchup with 4-2 UCF, who kept the Swarm out of the conference title game last season.
B.J. Henderson put up huge numbers once again, throwing for 374 yards and 3 scores, along with 132 yards and another 3 scores on the ground. However, he completed just 21 of 42 passes, tossed 3 picks, and lost a fumble.
Defensively, the Swarm gave up a ton but were clutch, allowing the Bearcats to convert on just 3 of 12 3rd downs. Safety Tyrell White stood out, racking up 10 tackles and 2 picks.
Westlake State will travel to Tampa this week, where they'll play 1-5 USF.

Down They Go! -- Unranked Notre Dame topple rival Stanford, knocking out star QB Jake Palmer in the process. Palmer is expected to return this week, but his Cardinal have fallen from #3 to #20.
Nearly -- #1 Sooners eke out a 63-56 OT win behind Heisman candidate Bill Johnson's 7 scores.
Dark Horses -- #6 MTSU, and #8 Westlake State remain unbeaten and could crash the BCS party this season.

Re: #SWARM - RELOADED
Y3 G7 Preview - @ USF
Head To Head
Both games between these teams have come down to the wire. In the last meeting in Tampa, mistakes cost the Swarm late on as USF won it 30-29 in the last minute. Last season, Westlake State rallied late and B.J. Henderson made a phenomenal TD pass to put his team up with 12 seconds to go.
WHAT A PLAY.
Coach Barkley's Take
It shouldn't be close this year. We're averaging more passing yards per game then they're averaging total yards. These guys beat an FCS team in week 1 and have dropped 5 straight. They run a very methodical pro-style offense - lots of plays from under center, huddling every time, so we have to make sure we don't let them control the ball too much. If we don't turn it over, we win easily.
Jeff Franz could run riot. He's strong, he's fast, he's super quick off the line, and he's a great pass rusher. They have a pretty good front seven overall, but the secondary is mediocre. We don't run a ton (or very well) as is, so don't expect that to change. With our speed, very few secondaries can avoid getting burned deep.
Their offense lacks playmakers. Their best deep threat, Jake Bain, won't play. Rakim Daniels is a good back, but he isn't a home run hitter. We'll have to keep an eye on Ryan Green's scrambling, but his arm is just OK and he doesn't make great reads.
These are the hardest games - the ones you're supposed to win by 20.Comment
