                St. Louis Blues Midseason Report

                Oshie Mania Continues--

The Blues have been led by a breakout season from TJ Oshie who has already amassed a career high 18 goals.

                Berglund Progressing Into Star Forward--

Patrick Berglund has had a tremendous sophmore season racking up 13 goals and 23 assists in the first 41 games.

                Blues Young Linchpin Thriving--

The Blues have had an outstanding contribution from Erik Johnson, who has 9 goals...on pace for 18 goals and nearly 50 points this season.

                Brad Who???

Boyes has been a bust through the first half of the campaign as the sniper has only hit the back of the net 10 times on 102 shots.

                Kariya Heating Up--

After a slow start with just 2 assists in his first 8 games of the season, Paul Kariya has tallied 13 goals and 15 assists for 28 points in the last 32 games.

                Who Wants It???

The Blues netminders Ty Conklin and Chris Mason have yet to take form into anything other than complete unpredictability, forcing Head Coach Andy Murray to adapt a 1a/1b scenario. Conklin and Mason have played 1301 and 1173 minutes respectively.

Blues Team Stats On The Way...

                          Around The NHL

                          Midseason Report
                          Who's Hot

The Columbus Blue Jackets are leading the Western Conference with an incredible 28-12-2 record on the back on a true career year for Rick Nash who leads the NHL with 61 points in 42 games.

Danny Heatley has racked up 34 goals in the campaigns first half.

The Philadelphia Flyers are tearing up the Eastern Conference with a 27-10-3 record and highest winning percentage in the league.

The duo of Martin St. Louis and Vincent Lecavalier is still a dominant force as the two are 5th and 7th in the NHL scoring race.

                          Who's Not

The Detroit Redwings who represented the Western Conference in the Stanley Finals last season find themselves in the Western Conference celler half-way through the regular season. Will the Wings be sellers at the deadline or buyers in their push to do what the Blues did last season, coming out of the celler to earn a playoff birth...6th seeded no less.

The Vancouver Canucks are 14th in the Western Conference despite being heavily hyped as a top favorite in the Western Conference this season.

                                Thanks...

                                Just so you guys know...

the game recaps are going to be abreviated...I'm going to do them still, but in a more condensed style. I think I'm going to do more writing about events around the league and the St. Louis Blues.

...also, this game is to fun to have to play so slow...or not play because I need to catch up on this.
