Wow, Oshie has over 30 goals already but I think I'm even more impressed that Johnson has 21!!! Are you scoring a lot of those from the point/on the power play? Just curious. Gives me high hopes for Mike Green

Please tell me you wear the Blues 3rd jersey almost every game. I'm so jealous! That jersey is sweet!

What is your injury setting at? You seem to be getting real quality/realistic injuries.

Thanks and keep up the great work!

      Yeah...

most of Johnson's goals have been from the point, with the exception of maybe 3 or so.

I wear the 3rd jersey about half of the games at home...

in real life, the Blues wear that jersey on Saturday home games, but I do it whenever I want.

Man Johnson is a beast! I would love to get 20+ out of Green but we shall see.

I didn't realize the blues had that schedule set up for the 3rd jersey too. That's really sweet. But what do the Blues know? I'd wear it half the time too!

The St. Louis Blues (39-30-5) are struggling through the final stretch of the NHL season having now lost 5 of their last 6 contests including an embarrassing 7-0 loss to the New Jersey Devils.

Currently the Western Conference is a dogfight as the 5th-11th seeds are currently separated by just 5 points. Calgary leads the way as the regular season is coming to an exciting finish.

Blues Call Up Scoring Sensation Aaron Palushaj

After scoring 41 goals (3rd in AHL) and 74 points in 74 games for the Rivermen, Aaron Palushaj has finally gotten the big call from the Blues who are trudging miserably through the home stretch of the regular season.

Needless to say, Palushaj was excited to get the call.

"Its what you dream of as a kid. Your first game...scoring you first goal...lifting the Cup after you scored in triple OT. I'm feeling great. I've had a really solid season and I'm looking to continue doing what I do with the Blues."

Palushaj is rated a 79 overall by Central Scouting and rates highly in the following:

                Offensive Awareness 85
                Puck Control 88
                Wrist Shot Accuracy 85
                Speed 85
                Checking 81

Palushja is a goal scoring weapon who plays with grit and will be joining the third line playing on the left side of Lars Eller while Keith Tkachuk stays on the right.

                Other Notes:

David Perron has been moved to the 4th line as his dreadful season continues, posting just 7 goals and 9 assists in 58 games with a couple of stints on the DL. Despite the demotion to the 4th line, he has been promoted to the 2nd PP unit, playing the point as the staff would like to utilize his skill at the point like has been seen this year out of McDonald.

Re: Beware The Blues...An OBG Production NHL 10

Ohhhhh man what a tight race! Very exciting! Oshie's the man...he'll man up and pull the guys through. St. Louis has the talent and the heart. You got this!

Maybe calling up that Palushaj kid will spark the team. I think I remember when you called up Eller he took advatage of the opportunity. I think Aaron's gonna hook you up

That's too bad about Perron. I'm sure one or two of my guys are going to disappoint me too. I've only played the preseason and a couple of them I'm starting to wonder about...

Good luck the rest of the way....not that you need it! FTW!

Palusha Ignites Blues To Explosive Finish
Prepare to take on 4th seeded Stars in 1st round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs

The St. Louis Blues pushed to a 6-2-0 finish after the call-up of Aaron Palushaj who posted 5 goals and 4 assists in 8 games with the Blues including a hat trick in the season finale.

                      St. Louis Post Dispatch
                      Written By Matt Kier

Beware NHL, the St. Louis Blues are now an explosive NHL jauggernaut.

After finishing the season 6-2-0, finishing 44-33-5, good for 93 points and the 5th seed in the Western Conference, let it be known that recent call up Aaron Palushaj is an NHL superstar on the rise. After posting 41 goals in 74 games with the Rivermen, the 20 year old forward drafted 44th overall in the 2007 NHL Entry draft tallied 5 beautiful goals and 4 assists in his 8 game call-up stint.

Over the Blues 6-2-0 finish, the club scored 7 goals twice, and 8 once as they managed to slaughter the 1st seeded Columbus Blue Jackets 8-4, a team to which the Blues entered the contest 0-6-0 against on the season.

Another key change to the dynamic of the Blues was 'demoting' David Perron to the 4th line while, while also promoting him to the 2nd PP unit as the decision would ignite David Perron to a strong finish after being a major disappoinment for the majority of the regular season. After recording 50 points in 08-09, he barely reached over the 20 mark this season.

The Blues would get 42 goals from TJ Oshie who would also touch 80 point marker for the first time.

Paul Kariya scored 36 goals while Andy McDonald paced the team with 86 points on 25 goals and 61 assists.

Despite ending the season with a 12-game goal scoring drought in which he still recorded 9 assists, Erik Johnson would still finish the campaign with 21 goals and 56 points.

                      After 31 goals and 165 PIM's in 08-09, David Backes reached 23 goals and 128 PIM's in 79 games.

                      Conklin Steals #1 Duties

The Blues have relied heavily down the stretch on the more reliable play of Ty Conklin who finished with 20 wins and 13 losses on the season with a save percentage just under .900.

NHL Standings, Blues Player Stats and League Leaders on the way.

Once again--playoffs will be done in game updates with recaps.
