Re: The Anchorage Wolverines
Atlantic/Pacific Divisions Lead The Way
As the collective NHL hovers around the 50-game marker, 6 of the 8 teams in the NHL with a winning percentage of .600 or better hail from the Atlantic and Pacific Divisions.
Pacific Division
SJS 31-13-4 (.685)
ANA 28-17-3 (.615)
AKW 27-17-5 (.602)
Atlantic Division
NJD 30-11-4 (.711)
NYI 28-14-5 (.649)
PIT 29-17-3 (.622)
++On a side note, Anchorage forward Trevor Pollock will be getting a shot on the 1st line along side Evgeni Malkin and Peter Forsberg after his impressive two goal performance. Pollock has had mostly third and fourth line duty during his limited play this season.

Good win! It's not easy to score five on Miller. Good move, pulling pollock to the first line, he earned it.Comment

Pollock Tallies Pair In Homestand Finale; Wolves Close With 5-3 Loss

David Legwand would find the net twice in a 5-3 win over Anchorage. Anchorage, with the loss, went 3-1-2 on the homestand against predominantly difficult NHL squads.

Labarbera Stops 44 In Win Over Caps

The Capitals raged for 25 shots in the 1st period alone, and Jason Labarbera stopped them all. The reliable backup continued his hot play bringing his season GAA to 2.32 with a .924 SV%.

LOL...I seriously just gave up...these tables have a mind of their own sometimes and I just couldn't.
And yes, Labarbera is owning lately. He will definitely see a steady amount of time down the stretch, unless he implodes.Comment

I love stat splits, don't you??? This is one thing I wish NHL 11 would do...MLB 2k10 does this really well. Makes franchise pretty immersive.Labarbera Dominant Since December

Re: The Anchorage Wolverines
The stat overlays and stuff they have now is so bare bones. I'd love if they could just focus on presentation, the game needs it badly to take that extra step forward.Comment

Re: The Anchorage Wolverines
Second Seeded Flames Drop Wolverines 4-3
Jarome Iginla tallied a goal and an assist as he continues his solid performance against the Wolverines during their inaugural season.
Evgeni Malkin would score 18 seconds into the game as the Flames would respond just 1:16 later tying the game 1-1 before the contest was two minutes old.
The Flames came into the game sporting the best road record in the league (21-4-1) while the Wolverines were the NHL pace setter for home ice success pinning a 21-5-3 mark entering the game. However, with the loss the Wolverines have a rare two-game home losing streak.
