          Ha, yeah...

a lot of scoring slumps going on. Reminds me of the Blues this year.

Hell, Forsberg's only goal was on an empty net!!!!

Its a long season, they'll come around.

Hurricanes Open Season With 11 game winning streak.

The Hurricanes are off to an 11-0-0 start behind the play of Eric Staal who leads the NHL in scoring with 19 points. Also, it doesn't hurt when your goaltender (Cam Ward) is tied for 2nd in the NHL with a GAA of 1.97.

Tanguay Refuses Deal With Anchorage; Wolves Continue To Hunt For Scoring

Word out of Anchorage is that Alex Tanguay was offered a 2 year deal worth around 3.125 million per season and refused it based on the length. The winger is reportedly looking for a deal around 5 years in duration.

The Wolverines are averaging just 2.31 goals per game and are reported to be aggressively looking for secondary scoring as the front office has made it clear that the goal is to become a powerful NHL franchise immediately.

"We came here to win...and we will do whatever it takes to get to that point. Money is no object to us here in Alaska"--Team CEO, Dave Swansen

Wolves Steal Rare Road Win In Anaheim

After playing horrible in his first start of the season, allowing 6 goals on 43 shots, Jason Labarbera has been solid in recent appearances. Labarbera was a factor in tonights win as he came in after Bryzgalov was pulled to contribute 24 shutout minutes, allowing the Wolves to claw their way back from a 3-1 deficit late in the second period. With 1 goal allowed in his last 84 minutes of play, Labarbera's GAA is now 2.94 with a SV% of .901.

Looking For Added Offense, Wolves Add Brendl To Fold

With an offense ranked in the lower half of the league, averaging just 2.31 goals per game, the Wolverines signed 28 year old winger Pavel Brendl.

Brendl has limited NHL experience but has shown great success playing in Europe over the last few years scoring 34, 31, and 36 goals. He holds the Elitserien record for goals in a season (34) and points by a foreigner (57).

"I'm happy to be in the NHL again. This is where the best in the world come to play. Hopefully I can have some success and stick around for a while this time"--Pavel Brendl

To make room in the lineup, Enver Lisin was sent to San Antonio.

I'm not a fan of his or Forsberg being I'm a Wings and Capitals fan...lol! But I will continue to follow. I think it's sweet that Jovo is doing so well but obviously you need fowards to lead your team in scoring! Good luck the rest of the way!

Yeah...I'm having a lot of fun with this. I can see it going multiple seasons. I have some damn good sliders and a lot of progress to make...

makes for a lot of longevity.

As far as my forwards go, this team is reminding me a lot of the Blues early this season. Erik Johnson was leading the team and not a single forward was having a respectable start while great goaltending kept us alive.
