Well atleast half your games are at home so batting at 875 at home will atleast give you 71 points. It must be that long flight thats killing you.

Really cool idea. Liking this a lot.

Are there any Alaska natives in your system? You could get Joey Crabb from Atlanta for nothing.

Yeah...road trips have been very scary...hopefully we can climb close to .500 on the road before the season ends.

Not that I know of...I have a trade in mind that might happen sometime over the next 10 games. Not for a superstar, but a good role player...we'll see how things go.

There's not many Alaskan's to choose from but either Scott Gomez or Dubinsky would be really cool.

                      Wolverines Aquire Alaskan Scott Gomez

The Wolverines hope hometown boy Scott Gomez can turn his game around in his native Alaska.

                      By Stephen Holley
                      NHL Beat Writer
                      Anchorage Daily News

                      Welcome home, Scottie.

The Wolverines held a press conference this morning to announce the aquisition of Montreal center Scott Gomez.

The Wolverines would recieve Gomez and journeyman Patrice Brisbois in the deal while sending Martin Hanzal and Brain McClain to the Canadiens.

                      Here is some further analysis:

                      Anchorage Recieves:

                      Scott Gomez
Gomez has struggled mightily this season tallying just 14 points (9 goals and 5 assists) in 35 games, frustrating the Canadiens who gave Gomez a 6 year deal worth approximately 7.4 million per season. He has C potential in all three scouting categories.

                      Patrice Brisbois
Brisbois will most likely report to San Antonio if he is able to clear waivers. The 38-year old defensemen has registered 3 goals and 13 assists this season playing for Montreal's AHL affiliate.

                      The Canadiens Recieve:

                      Martin Hanzal
The 22 year old center has just 1 goal and 7 assists for Anchorage playing on the 3rd and 2nd line this season. The young center has a potential of B in Offence, and B- in both Athletism and Defense according to Central Scouting.

                      Brain McClain
The 20 year old winger was the leading scorer for San Antonio with 10 goals and 15 assists in 30 game this year. The sniper is highly touted and projected to be a 2nd liner in the NHL with potentials of B in Offense, and B- in both Defense and Athletism.

                      Who wins???

This trade is another trade that the results won't be in until the young players involved either bust or blossom. The Wolverines have endured much scrutiny this season dealing away 4 key young players in Boedker, Turris, Hanzal, and McClain.

"We want to win now...thats something we have been saying all season long. Draft picks and prospects are easy to come by...proven NHLers aren't", said team CEO Dave Swansen regarding the heat he's recieved from the trade.

Gomez was unable to be reached for comment.

and he walked out the door...and I kicked my self for being so foolishly realistic.

You may have lost the trade in the long run but right now, you've clearly gotten the better players so I wouldn't sweat it.

For all we know Hanzal is a bust and never does anything for Montreal.

P.S. I thought a bit about what you said and I decided I'm going to recap every game. It's going to be a little bare bones but the layout I'm going to use is pretty unique. At least I haven't seen anything like it.

Yeah...young players are easily replaced...plus I still have some decent prospects.

I'm interested to see what you're layout is...just do whatever you feel will be practical.
