SO the Penguins and Red Wings games didn't save, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise... (also tacked on the second, newly-played Wings game)

Penguins Eke Out 5-4 OT Win
The Penguins beat the Sabres 5-4 in OT on a Brent Sutter goal. Beau Bennet and Sidney Crosby each had a goal and an assist, while Drew Stafford had a goal and two assists for the Sabres. Jamie McBain also scored and notched an assist, while Marcus Foglino and Matt Moulson also scored for Buffalo.

Pasquale, Foglino Send Sabres Past Wings
Eddie Pasquale made 38 saves on 39 shots and Marcus Foglino scored a game-winning goal with 4 minutes left to give the Sabres a close 2-1 win over the Red Wings. Evander Kane (Mats Zuccarello and Mike Weber assisted) also scored for Buffalo, and Jimmy Howard made 17 saves for the Red Wings.

Foglino, Nets Two And Emery Makes 41 Saves in Win
Ray Emery allowed two goals on 43 shots in a big 5-2 win over the Red Wings. Marcus Foglino scored twice for the Sabres, while Cody Hodgson had two assists. Colton Sceivour, Evander Kane, and Drew Stafford also scored for the Sabres.

Montreal Scores Four Unanswered To Win 4-2
Carey Price made 27 saves, with second- and third-period shutouts to give Les Canadiens time to come back and beat Buffalo. Mike Cammalleri scored two goals, and Travis Moen added the game-winner. Cody Hodgson and Marcus Foglino each scored a short-handed goal for the Sabres.

Bryzgalov Shuts The Door For Panthers
The Florida Panthers beat the Buffalo Sabres 3-1 behind Ilya Bryzgalov's commanding performance, notching 27 saves on 28 shots as Florida won 3-1. Tomas Kopecky scored and had an assist, while Tyler Ennis scored a PPG for the Sabres.

Hodgson's Three Helpers Help Sabres Past Sens
Cody Hodgson assisted on all of Buffalo's goals as the Sabres beat Ottawa 3-2 in the first game of a home-and-home series. Ray Emery made 31 saves, while Drew Stafford had a goal and an assist.

Senators Shutout Sabres 3-0
Craig Anderson made 27 saves, and the Sens shutout Buffalo in the final game of a home-and-home series. Milan Michalek, Jason Spezza, and Kyle Turris all scored for the Senators.

Flames Beat Sabres 4-1 Behind Kippy's 35 Saves
Mikka Kippursoff made 35 saves and David Jones scored twice for the Flames. Major spending in free agency helped the Flames (Steve Ott, Damien Brunner, Ian White) as White scored and Brunner had two helpers. Mike Weber scored a PPG for Buffalo, despite Buffalo's superb (my best ever) forechecking.

Thread maintenance time.
I currently am in the middle of 'death week' at school—6 tests, several projects/essays—before march break. I will be going at a super fast pace for at least Saturday, Sunday, and Monday with a ton of games posted. It'll slow down a bit after that, with hiatus from next Thursday through Monday.

Kane Pots Two To Dethrone Kings
Evander Kane scored two goals, one shorthanded, as the Sabres beat the Kings 4-1 in LA. Ray Emery made 28 saves, and Luke Adam scored. Jamie McBain scored the empty-net short-handed goal.

Zuccarello And Kane Combine To Rout Sharks
Mats Zuccarello scored twice and had a beautiful assist (One-timer and deflection), Evander Kane scored twice (one short-handed from Colton Sceivour) and the Sabres beat San Jose 5-2. Luke Adam scored his second consecutive goal, Jamie McBain notched two assists, and Eddie Pasquale made 23 saves.



Ok, Kane and McBain are officialy beasts. McBain leads all D-men in points, Kane leads the league in goals... big progress coming soon.

Please, someone!! Buffalo is escaping with thievery!! Help!! Thief!!

The Sabres acquired Tampa Bay's 4th-round pick in 2015 along with Nikita Kucherov (83 OVR, 21, 4.5 R). The Sabres sent D-man Brayden McNabb (78 OVR, 24, 3.5 R), who was not played this season [Wanted to keep some realism. Some], and their 2015 2nd-round pick... one of three they have.

Huge head-scratcher for the Lightning here, as Kucherov was one of their most NHL-ready prospects. Sending a 4th as well is just ridiculous; just icing on the cake for Buffalo.

McNabb has been a healthy scratch this season for the Sabres. They have a cadre of capable young blueliners, and McNabb has never gelled with the Sabres. Buffalo can afford to send their second rounder, as they are now a serious playoff team.

The Sabres also acquired Leon Draitsail (55 OVR, 19, 4 Y) from the Dallas Stars for Cody McCormick (70 OVR, 31, 2.5 W) and Tampa Bay's 2014 fourth-rounder.

Where should I play Kucherov? 2nd line—but I mess with the best line in hockey so far. 3rd? Just starting to gell... OR

Trade Stafford/Moulson?? I've got the players to cope, so... What do you think??

Drew Stafford scored twice in the first period, including a short-handed goal, as the Sabres beat the Ducks 4-2. Evander Kane and Matt Moulson each scored and had an assist, while Ray Emery made 34 saves in the win. Tyler Ennis and Cody Hodgson each had two assists.

Kucherov Nets Game-Winner in First Game As Sabre—Against Former Team
Nikita Kucherov scored the game-winning goal against the Tampa Bay Lightning in his first game since being traded to the Sabres. Buffalo won 5-2 as Ray Emery made 22 saves and Matt Moulson scored a PPG and had an assist. Tyler Ennis, Evander Kane, and Luke Adam each scored for Buffalo.

Buffalo Allows 4-Goal Comeback, Beat Leafs 5-4 in OT
Kevin Porter scored his second goal of the game, in OT, as the Sabres rebounded from a four-goal let-up in the third period. Drew Stafford had a goal and an assist, which was matched by Mike Ribeiro; Evander Kane and Tyler Myers also scored for Buffalo.

Some thoughts.

1st—Zuccarello leads the team in GWGs, but a lot of people have chipped in big-time.
2nd—Everyone is a plus, great year.
3rd—McBAIN!!!!!! (Ranier Wolfcastle)

Now the big one. I am ASTOUNDED that Tampa Bay traded Kucherov, for so little. He had 18 points, 18 points!!! in 18 games!!! before they traded him. I mean, seriously!!!
