First Game Of Post-Miller Era Is 4-1 Loss @ Vancouver
Ryan Kesler scored 2 goals and the Sedin brothers combined to score as the Canucks beat the Sabres 4-1 in Buffalo's first game without Ryan Miller on the roster in a long time. Jose Theodore was solid, with 24 saves, despite allowing 4 goals. Luke Adam scored Buffalo's only (unassisted) goal.

Domination in Calgary As Sabres Rout 7-4
The Sabres scored 4 first period goals and never looked back as they demolished the Flames in Calgary. Evander Kane had two goals, while Mark Pysyk scored his first of the season. Drew Stafford tallied a goal and two assists, while Ville Leino and Steve Ott each assisted twice. Matt Moulson also scored and assisted.

Palmieri And Getzal Burn Sabres
Kyle Palmieri and Ryan Getzlaf each scored twice and had an assist as the Ducks romped to a 7-3 win against Buffalo. Ryan Getzlaf added 3 assists for Anaheim, and Cam Fowler put up a goal and an assist. Evander Kane, Leo Komarov, and Drew Stafford each scored for the Sabres.

Theodore Gets First Buffalo Shutout In 3-0 Win Over Capitals
Jose Theodore recalled memories of brilliance as he made 38 saves to help the Sabres past Washington. The Sabres went a perfect 8/8 on the PK. Ville Leino scored the first (on a beautiful dish from Kane, also assisted by Erhoff) and Leo Komarov and Marcus Foglino teamed up to each post a goal and assist for Buffalo.

EA does that. I played a series vs. someone (I was UK, he was Canada), best out of three.
Game 1: 2-1 him when he scored with 48 seconds left.
That came right after the warmup game... which ended 2-1 for the Jackets over the Blues.

Game 2: 7-4 win me.
Game 3: 6-1 win me.

Myers Plays Big Role In Sabres 4-1 Takedown of Bruins
Tyler Myers notched a goal and an assist to help Buffalo defeat Boston at Madison Square Garden. Jose Theodore made 24 saves, and Drew Stafford and Leo Komarov each scored. David Krejci scored for Boston.

Nyqvist Nets 2 As Wings Hold Off Sabres 4-2
Gustav Nyqvist scored twice, and Jamie Ericsson had a goal and an assist as the Red Wings beat Buffalo 4-2. The Sabres landed 45 hits. The started recent acquisition E. Pasquale (I really need to check his first name), and he was 14/18 on shots. Evander Kane scored for Buffalo, as did Colton Sceivour who was making his first start as a Sabre. Tyler Ennis was lost for 3 weeks with a pulled groin... Ouch!

Stafford Finally Comes Through In OT
The Buffalo Sabres took down the Florida Panthers 4-3 in overtime when Drew Stafford scored his 8th shot of the game. Leo Komarov scored two goals for Buffalo, who made some major line changes. Jamie McBain netted a short-handed goal, and call up Johan Larsson had 2 assists. Theodore made 22 saves, while counterpart Scott Clemmensen made 38.

Ovechkin Sucker Punches Buffalo
The Washington Capitals beat the Buffalo Sabres 5-4 in OT after Alex Ovechkin scored his second goal of the day. The first had come with 5.7 seconds left to send the game into OT. Marcus Johansson also scored and assisted. Matt Moulson had a hat trick for Buffalo, and was a +4. Kevin Porter scored and had two assists.

Buffalo Wins In Shootout Despite Tavares Hat Trick
John Tavares had a hat trick and an assist, but Matt Moulson and Evander Kane scored in a shootout to send Buffalo to a 5-4 win. Steve Ott had three assists for Buffalo, while Cody McCormick, Luke Adam, Ville Leino, and Matt Moulson each scored. Moulson now leads the NHL in goals scored.

Trade:
The Calgary Flames have traded Mike Cammalleri and Douglas Murray to the Montreal Canadiens for Michael Bournival and the Canadiens' 2014 and 2015 first round picks.

Yurevich Indicates Ott Will Stay If Sabres Go Defense In Draft
Buffalo Sabres GM Akilles Yurevich has indicated that 33 year-old center Steve Ott will remain a Sabre if Buffalo is unable to improve their centers in the NHL June Entry Draft. Ott is an unrestricted free agent this summer, but the grinder has indicated that he wants to remain a Sabre for a few more years.

Well, Steve's played well this year; it'd be a shame to let him go after what he's done for us. I think its a question of draft priorities: if we go defense, I'd love for Steve to stay a Sabre. However, if we go offense, especially centre, there are a lot of players younger than him looking to fill 4 spots.

Ott has indicated through his agent that while his contract is up, he only plans to test the free agent market and hopes for a one or two year deal with Buffalo.
The center has 31 points in 58 games for the Sabres this year, logging time on the PK along with lines 1 and 2.
