Re: Putting the "F" back in WWE.

    Pretaped from Full Sail University

GM William Regal came out and said that even though tonight is not a SuperShow on a Sunday night the next two weeks might as well be SuperShows. Tonight we will see Aiden English face off with Simon Gotch in our 7th King of NXT qualifying match. Then we will also have a showcase match featuring 4 of the current qualifiers as Finn Balor, Baron Corbin, UHAA, and Kevin Owens face off in a fatal 4way. Also tonight the 8th qualifier will be a rumble match featuring everyone who has not qualified for King of NXT already, even those who failed to qualify the first time around. There will also be a couple of surprises in store for that match. And if that is not enough all 3 titles will be on the line tonight.

In the opening bout of the night Aiden English faced Vaudvillain partner Simon Gotch in a King of NXT qualifying match. This match was a gentleman’s match with both men giving their best. In the end English ended up winning after hitting the Director’s Cut. After the match the two men shook hands and walked to the back.

The next match featured the Young Bucks defending their tag titles against the American Wolves. The Bucks started off quick with Matt hitting Davey with a quick powerslam and a standing moonsault. Nick tagged in and kept the advantage, but Eddie tagged in and took control. The two teams battle back and forth for 15 minutes. Some highlights: Nick Jackson with a powerslam on Eddie. Eddie with a flipping rollup off the middle turnbuckle for a 2 count. Eddie with a fame-***-er over Nicks back. The Young Bucks came back and got a 2 count after hitting a double superkick on Davey. Nick hit a facebuster on Eddie for a 1 count. The finish came when the Wolves hit a Superkick into a German suplex combo for the win.

The next match featured Women’s Champion Paige and former champion Charlotte for the title. Paige went after Charlotte but Charlotte took her down with a headlock. Paige fought back and attacked Charlotte with several moves including a dropkick to Charlotte’s back. Charlotte fought back with a reverse suplex. The two women battled for almost 10 minutes with Charlotte picking up the win and regaining the title after hitting the Bow to the Queen.

The next match featured Baron Corbin, UHAA, Kevin Owens, and Finn Balor in a 4-way match which turned into a brawl. Owens and Balor battled with each other while Corbin and UHAA faced off with one another. Balor took Owens down while Corbin was taking care of UHAA then those two men battled out while Owens went after UHAA. The finish came as UHAA and Owens battled outside the ring and Corbin hit the End of Days on Balor to pick up the big win.

Corey Graves won a Rumble match, last eliminating Curtis Axel, to qualify for the King of NXT Tournament featuring everyone on the NXT Roster except those that have qualified already. Adrian Neville also made his return to NXT for this match and it featured the debut of Ricochet and Alex Shelley. Shelley was very impressive making 5 eliminations and rumors are that he may get moved right to the main roster. The final 3 featured Corey Graves, Rusev, and Curtis Axel (who was also very impressive and lasted a long time in the match)

In the Main Event, Sami Zayn defended his title against #1 contender Tyler Breeze. These two men have been battling back and forth for months now and this match was another classic. Breeze used some underhanded tactics to get Zayn down early but Zayn fought back with a capture suplex followed by a standing moonsault. The two men fought back and forth for several minutes with Zayn hitting several high octane moves but Breeze fought back with a snap powerslam off the ropes. Zayn was in complete control for most of this match hitting a bridging suplex pin for a 2 count. Breeze hit a standing huricanrana on Breeze out of nowhere and then a superkick. Zayn fought back and got Breeze down and went to the top rope but Breeze got up and actually hit a dropkick on Zayn who was on the top rope. Zayn fell to the turnbuckle and Breeze connected with a second kick. Zayn fell into the ring and got up only to be hit with a superkick for a 1 count. Back to their feet Zayn hit a floatover roll up for a 1 count. The match spilled out of the ring where Zayn hit a flying headscissors takedown. Back in the ring Breeze caught Zayn with the Beauty Shot out of nowhere as Zayn returned to the ring to pick up the shocking win to win the championship.
After the show GM William Regal announced that at NXT Redemption next month all 3 former champions will get their rematches.

Re: Putting the "F" back in WWE.

The first match of the night featured Justin Gabriel and Brian Kendrick in a match between two guys who weren’t pinned in their triple threat contender’s tournament matches. This match was a back and forth for several minutes. Brian Kendrick actually kicked out after one 450 splash but couldn’t kick out of a second one and Justin Gabriel moved on in the tournament to crown a new champion.

In the first semifinal match of the women’s contender’s tournament Paige made surprisingly short work of Alicia Fox after locking in the PTO to pick up the submission victory.

In the next match of the night Roman Reigns faced off with Davey Boy Smith, Jr in a single match heading into the matchup between the SHIELD and Killer Elite Squad at King of the Ring. Both men were accompanied by their partners, who both got kicked out of ringside. Davey Boy took early control taking the fight outside the ring along the way. Reigns ended up winning after hitting the Superman punch to pick up the win. Davey Boy Smith, Jr had earlier kicked out of a big spear.

The next match of the night Natalya and Layla faced off in the semifinals of the women’s contender’s tournament and Natalya made this match look easy as she beat Layla with the sharpshooter after working over her back with a boston crab and other moves in a short time.

In the second to last match of the night Rob Van Dam and Jack Swagger battled for a spot in the King of the Ring tournament. Swagger hit a powerslam off the ropes early but RVD fought back. RVD was in control for most of this match and looked like he was going to pick up the win after hitting the 5 star frog splash but Zeb Colter hopped up on the ring apron and distracted the ref and RVD. As the ref attempted to get Colter off the ring apron Mark Henry entered the ring, grabbed RVD, hit the World’s Strongest Slam on RVD then rolled Swagger over on top of him in time for the ref to turn around and make the 3 count. After the match Henry picked Swagger up and raised his hands in the air as Colter entered as well and shook hands with Henry.

Colter: “Earlier this year I made a grave mistake when I allowed that turncoat Cesaro to become a member of the Real Americans. I will not make that mistake again. I give you a man who represented our fine country in the Olympics and is an enforcer who will help the Real Americans take WWF by storm. After Swagger becomes King of the Ring, the Real Americans will take over the WWF.”

The main event featured John Cena facing off with Sheamus. Sheamus took Cena down early but Cena but Sheamus in a headlock. Cena hit a big shoulder block on Sheamus. Cena stayed in control hitting a float over head whip on Sheamus. Sheamus fought back but Cena hit a Russian leg sweep. The two men brawled back and forth for several minutes with each man hitting several high impact moves. The finish came after Cena kicked out at 2 after being hit by the White Noise. Sheamus hit a Brogue kick after tossing Cena in the air. He picked up Cena for another move but Cena caught him with the AA and got the pin shocking everyone as Sheamus seemed to have this match in control. After the match Sheamus hit a low blow on Cena and attacked him and left him lying in the ring.

Re: Putting the "F" back in WWE.

Before the first match it was announced that John Cena and Sheamus would meet in a single match at King of the Ring.

The opening bout of the night featured the 4 men who will compete in the semifinals of the cruiserweight contender’s tournament Rey Mysterio, Matt Sydal, Zack Ryder, and Justin Gabriel. Ryder and Sydal faced off while Rey and Gabriel The finish came as Rey hit the 619 on Gabriel as Ryder hit the Zack attack on Sydal. Rey made the cover first and got the pinfall. Ryder was pissed after the match because he had felt he had Sydal beat.

The next match had former tag team partners, IC Champion, Antonio Cesaro and Jack Swagger facing off in a Kin gof the Ring showcase match. As with the past couple weeks these two men put on a hell of a show. Swagger took Cesaro down with a big DDT. Cesaro hit a sitout slam. Swagger fought back with several moves, countered by Cesaro hitting a big offense. At one point Mark Henry made his way to the ring distracting Cesaro allowing Swagger to lock in the Patriot Lock but Cesaro reversed it rolling and sending Swagger into Henry knocking Henry off the ring apron. As Swagger came back Cesaro hit a tossing European Uppercut to pick up the win.

In the main event Randy Orton teamed with Christian against Evolution members Triple H and Drew Galloway. Galloway took it to Christian early but Christian fought back and began working over Drew’s legs. The two men exchanged blows with Christian hitting a big neckbreaker. Orton tagged in and Galloway took him down and tagged in Triple H. Orton hit a hanging DDT on Triple H. The two teams battled for 15 minutes. The finish came after Triple H suplexed Christian and tagged in Galloway. Christian hit a huge flapjack on Galloway. Triple H tagged back in and rolled up Christian who reversed it for a 2 count. Galloway came in for the save and him and Christian battled allowing Orotn to come in and hit Triple H with an RKO out of nowhere while the ref was getting Galloway out of the ring. As Christian turned around he made the cover on Triple H for the win for their team.

Well I was going to type up RAW during my planning time while subbing today but my formats for my shows did not upload to my onedrive for some reason even though it showed they did last night. Will have RAW and possibly NXT up tonight, with SMACKdown tomorrow during my planning time hopefully (if I can get NXT and SD simmed tonight) and SNME tomorrow night. Will sim KotR on Tuesday night (if I can get everything up by tomorrow after work) otherwise Wednesday and start typing Wednesday or Thursday.

Re: Putting the "F" back in WWE.

The night started out with Rey Mysterio and Justin Gabriel facing off in a cruiserweight contender’s semifinals match. This was a high octane match with both men pulling off high flying moves. The finish came after Gabriel missed a 450 splash and Rey hit the 619 and West Cost Pop for the win.

The second match was the other semifinal match in the cruiserweight contender’s match. While matt Sydal tried to pick up the tempo Ryder tried to slow it down in this match. The finish came after Sydal flew over the top rope onto Ryder. He then tossed Ryder back in the ring, hit a big leg drop on him and then missed a springboard bodypress. Ryder got up but was caught with a big knee to the face followed by shooting star press.

The members of the triumvirate came to the ring to a huge round of applause. They call out Evolution who came to the stage lead by Triple H.

HBK: “We have decided that we have had enough of Evolution’s antics and we have added a stipulation to your match on Sunday at King of the Ring.”

                  Triple H grabs a mic.
Triple H: “I know all about the stipulation that they have added and he agrees to it 100%.”

                  HBK: “What’s the catch?”

Triple H: “You see, boys, I agree to your little stipulation, IF, you agree to mine? If Evolution loses at King of the Ring, Evolution will disband forever, but”

The crowd cheers when they hear that Evolution might disband

                  HBK: “What’s your stipulation?”

Triple H: “Well you see, you guys want Evolution to disband, but WHEN Evolution wins we get title shots at the World, IC, and World Tag Championships.”

The triumvirate huddle up in the ring.

                  Edge: “You’re on!”

Triple H just grins when Paul Heyman along with World Champion, Brock Lesnar, IC Champion, Cesaro, and Tag Champions, Killer Elite Squad. The Heyman Alliance faces off with Evolution on the stage as we go to break.

When we come back The Dudleys and Wyatts make their way to the ring. Once again these two teams fought in a huge brawl with the Wyatts coming away with a win again after Harper hit a discus clothesline on Bubba Ray after taking out D-Von. After the match Bray came into the ring and Rowan and Harper pulled Bubba to his feet. Bray grabbed Bubba and hit Sister Abigail on him after the match. The lights went out and when they came back on The Wyatts were gone and The Dudleyz were still in the ring. Bubba crawled over towards the corner and asked for a mic. He challenged the Wyatts for one more match at King of the Ring, one final match and if they lose The Dudleys will be no more in WWF.

The next match saw the finals in the Women’s contender’s tournament as Natalya took on former NXT Women’s Champion and somewhat surprising finalist Paige. This match showed that the women’s division is in good hands as they fought for close to 10 minutes. Paige actually almost came away with the upset win on several occasions but Natalya ended up winning with the sharpshooter to become the top contender.

The next two matches were Pick your Poison matches with Brock Lesnar and Daniel Bryan choosing each others opponenet.

Daniel Bryan made his way to the ring and then out came Paul Heyman to the announcers table. Bryan’s opponent was Kane. Bryan fought the big man for close to 15 minutes. Bryan looked like he had the Demon Kane beat but Heyman distracted Bryan allowing Kane to hit a chokeslam for the win.

In the main event, Brock made his way to the ring followed by Bryan’s handpicked opponent John Cena. Cena comes out and shook Bryan’s hands on his way to the ring. Cena and Brock had a hard fought battle but Sheamus came out and distracted Cena allowing Brock to hit Cena with an F-5 for the win. After the match Sheamus entered the ring and continued to beat down Cena along with Brock, until Bryan made his way back out to help clean house.

SCSA came back out and said that on Saturday Night Main Event John Cena and Daniel Bryan will face off with Brock Lesnar and Sheamus.

Yeah me either...lol...I don't know if I want them around as a group longer or if I want to allow them to become themselves and go their separate ways. They all have feuds going on and if they do win it would give an interesting feud between Heyman and Evolution but then it leaves Orton, Punk, Christian with nothing. If they lose then they can continue things with those 3 guys in solo matches and Rollins can move on to a singles push as well coming out of KotR. I haven't decided what I am going to do with it yet (it is one match I will probably force one way or the other for storyline reasons). I thought the stipulation made the match more interesting as well.

Tonight is the King of NXT tournament where the winner will get a spot in the King of the Ring on Sunday.

In the first match of the night Finn Balor took on ½ of the former NXT Tag Team Champion Young Bucks in Matt Jackson. Both men fought hard in the match and Jackson had a 2 count after an enziguiri followed by a big superkick but Balor was able to get back up and hit a big kick of his own and set up the double stomp off the top rope to pick up the win and advance.

The second match of the night saw ½ of the Vaudvillains, Aiden English face off with new NXT Champion, Tyler Breeze. While English put up a good fight you could tell he was more used to tag action in recent months as Breeze was able to hit the Beauty Shot for to the win to advance.

In the third 1st round match-up Baron Corbin faced off with Corey Graves. Graves used some underhanded tactics to take the big man down but in the end it just wasn’t enough as Corbin hit the End of Days on Graves to pick up the win.

In between matches as Corbin made his way to the back, Kevin Owens came out for his match and bumped into Corbin on his way to the ring as well as yelling at him that he was next.

In the final 1st round matchup UHAA picked up the surprise win over the overly cocky Owens who obviously was looking past UHAA towards a matchup with Corbin. UHAA hit a standing shooting star press to pick up the win, but after the match Owens beat UHAA down hitting him with a series of powerbombs. The doctors had to check on UHAA as they rushed him to the back.

In the first semifinal of the night Finn Balor faced off with Tyler Breeze and Balor had this match in control for most of the bout and was going for the double stomp off the top rope, when Corey Graves music hit the speakers and Balor was distracted enough to allow Breeze to get up and hit the Beauty Shot on Balor after he missed the double stomp to advance to the finals.

In the other semifinal bout Baron Corbin made short work of a beaten down UHAA, who hadn’t really recovered after his first round post match beat down at the hands of Kevin Owens. Corbin hit the End of Days in a couple minutes to advance.

As Corbin waited in the ring for Tyler Breeze to make his way back out for the finals of the match Kevin Owens came out and brawled with Corbin. Breeze finally made his way back out to the ring after Owens left and made the cover of the fallen Corbin but Corbin kicked out at 2 and made a good fight of the finals but in the end the beat down was too much to endure and Breeze hit the Beauty Shot to secure the win.

After the match as Breeze celebrated, Owens made his way back out and began to attack Corbin but UHAA made his way out to make the save and then out of nowhere Rusev appeared and the 4 big men brawled through the crowd.

GM William Regal came out and says that before the celebration begins he makes a huge announcement regarding next weeks show and that Baron Corbin will team with UHAA to face Kevin Owens and Rusev in a tag team match. He then congratulated Tyler Breeze on his win, no matter how tainted it was. He will be the first member of NXT to compete in King of the Ring. Breeze just shrugs him off.

The show ends as Breeze celebrates his win.

Good show, love Breeze's character, so I'll be enjoying the KOTR PPV.

Amazing show. You did a great job of using the tournament as a tool to set up some big rivalries. Breeze winning is the right way to go, as he was the most ready in the tournament imo. The idea of Breeze winning the KOTR has me imagining the most narcissistic character in wrestling history.

Remind me again, whats the reward for winning KOTR going to be.
