    WWE 2k15 Universe: Day One

    WWE.png

Greenwich, Connecticut - In what is being called the largest endeavor in professional wrestling history, a local wrestling promotion is launching world wide. Calling themselves World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), the organization has gathered backers from around the world to make this effort possible. The company is owned through stocks distributed to companies that have allowed their wrestlers to leave current contracts to go help start the WWE. However, most stocks are held by the man that will be running the show, Mr. Vincent Kennedy McMahon. He released the following statement earlier this week --

"Thank you ladies and gentlemen for your time in what is going to be the first of many press conferences, I hope. We here at WWE have a vision, a vision to see wrestling not be just a joke or something you hear about once in awhile. We set out today to prove that this is indeed true entertainment and requires physically gifted athletes. We thank all those who have supported us and helped us put this together. As you know, a lot of money went into purchasing these superstar athletes from their territories as well as coordinating with stadiums and television companies to air our program as we travel around the world. WWE is a company that will take zero holidays, have zero breaks, and give back to our fans the entertainment they deserve.

We will have two shows, one that airs on Mondays and another that will air on Fridays. We will also be doing pay-per-views, these pay-per-views are not yet decided and will be revealed throughout this year. I can say with confidence though that our first unnamed pay-per-view will air at the end of April this year from East Rutherford, New Jersey! Thank you for your time and tune in on Monday on the USA Network for the first installment of WWE!"

Will the WWE be a success? Can these wrestlers truly transcend the territory affiliation that people expect of wrestling? Only time will tell, but I for one will be tuning in on Monday Night to see them take their first steps.

          Raw Rivalry Updates

*After a three week tournament Nikki Bella has finally been crowned the first ever WWE Women's Champion. She won in a match against Alexa Bliss in a somewhat controversial way. She disappeared under the ring and when she returned she was noticeably more energetic.

*Dave Batista and Brock Lesnar are waging a war to determine who is the true Beast of WWE. Batista and Lesnar will each be involved in the WWE Championship Tournament with Batista winning his first match to advance to the semi-finals. Following the match he would be F-5'd for the second week in a row by Lesnar. This week Batista tried to attack Lesnar but Brock escaped.

*After attacking Harper and Rowan last week Sheamus and Bryan have formed an alliance on the promise of a future title shot. Harper has advanced to the second round of the WWE Championship Tournament but Sheamus was defeated by the debuting Kane.

*Roman Reigns has declared war on the locker room after being left out of the WWE Championship Tournament. He has promised to end a debuting superstar's career next week to send a message. He also attacked Seth Rollins and put him out of action with broken ribs. The next week he declared the debuting superstar a no show only to be greeted by Kane. In his debut Kane would chokeslam Reigns as well as defeat Sheamus to move on to the WWE Championship Semi-Finals.

*This week Bray Wyatt and Dean Ambrose fought over the right to challenge for the United States Championship. In a hellacious No DQ match both competitors gave it everything they had, it looked like Bray was going to win when he hit the "Sister Abigail". Instead, he was hit by a "Codebreaker" from Chris Jericho and the match would end in a double count out when neither man was able to get to their feet.

          Smackdown.png
          Smackdown Rivalry Updates

*Big Show's dominance continues as he hasn't had a match thus far last more than one minute.

*After stealing the titles from the Usos last week after they won them, Miz and Dolph Ziggler have been strutting around as if they earned them. To get some revenge Miz would face Jimmy Uso but lose when he was distracted by Ziggler hitting Jey over the head with the stolen titles. The Showoffs have still not returned the titles to the Usos.

*Last week Curtis Axel and Cody Rhodes were a team in the Intercontinental Championship Tournament and they lost. Axel blames Rhodes and demanded he be recognized as superior to Rhodes by Mr. McMahon. Instead he is placed in a one-on-one match with Rhodes which he manages to win. Cody Rhodes clearly upset has said it's not over yet.

*Last week John Cena hit Cesaro with brass knuckles to win a match. This week Cesaro faced CM Punk and seemed to be in control when Cena's music hit and distracted him long enough for Punk to recover and win. Cena would then come to the ring and hit Cesaro with the knuckles again before putting him through the announce table.

*In a tournament to see who would compete for the Intercontinental Championship in 1 week the final two teams squared off. Kofi Kingston & Damien Sandow vs. Ryback & Jack Swagger. Ryback and Swagger's relationship would cost them as Ryback made a tag Swagger didn't want so he instead watched on instead of helping his partner.

*Kofi and Sandow won the tournament for the right to fight each other one-on-one for the first ever Intercontinental Championship. After the match Sandow was celebrating when Kofi hit him with the "Trouble in Paradise" and signaled that he planned to win the title by any means.

            To Crown A Champion
            April Week 1, 2014

*A lot of pyrotechnics go off for the debut of WWE and Monday Night Raw*

Michael Cole: "Hello and welcome to the first ever WWE Monday Night Raw! We are here live from a sold out Boston, Massachusetts as these fans bear witness to history. My name is Michael Cole and along with my broadcast partner John Bradshaw Layfield, we will be calling the action."

JBL: "That's right Michael! We are here for history tonight. We will see here the crowning of the first ever US Champion in our Main Event 6-Man Over the Top Rope Battle Royal!"

Cole: "What a match that will be. We also know that priority owner Vince McMahon will be coming out shorty to unveil our first pay-per-view as well as our General Manager?"

JBL: Yes, sir! We will find out who they trust to run this crazy thing! First though, we will see a 6 women tag team match with the winning team facing off next week against each other in an attempt to find our first ever WWE Women's Champion! A night of firsts I love it!"

Cole: "It certainly is and we're so proud to be apart of it. Let's get to the action!"

Match 1: AJ Lee, Nikki Bella & Alexa Bliss vs. Naomi, Paige, & Sasha Banks
This match was everything you wanted to open up the first episode of Monday Night Raw. The divas knew that not only was the first opinion of WWE at stake but so too was the opportunity at the Women's Title. Alexa Bliss midway through the match tried to put away Paige with her finisher the "Sparkle Splash" only to be broken up by Naomi. Sasha Banks would then come in and hit a roundhouse for a long 2 count. Naomi got involved and Nikki Bella with a "Rear View" and then chaos erupted as each diva attempted to clear the ring. In the end Nikki Bella would hit the "Rack Attack" on a dazed Sasha Banks for the 1-2-3.
Winners and Advancing to the Next Round: AJ Lee, Nikki Bella & Alexa Bliss by pinfall
            ----

Match 2: Dave Batista vs. Brock Lesnar
Just what you would expect from two behemoths as this match was all about power. Batista gained the upper hand late in the match and hit a devastating powerbomb only to be shocked when Brock Lesnar kicked out of it. Clearly trying to make a statement Batista would hit the powerbomb again and finally pick up the 1-2-3.
            Winner: Dave Batista by pinfall

*Dave Batista Calls for a Microphone Following the Match*

Batista: "My name is Dave Batista, but you can call me the beast! I am the strongest and most dominant superstar to step into a wrestling ring. Look at this man here, look at the size of him! I just put him down for the count, I'm still standing. People say their the big dogs but I am the beast and I am the...

Cole: What in the world! Brock Lesnar just laid out Dave Batista! I believe he said that's called the F-5!

JBL: "And what a destructive move it was, Michael. It looks like Brock took exception to being chalked up as a snack for Batista. I think we got ourselves a Beast Fight on our hands!"
            ----

Match 3: Erick Rowan & Luke Harper vs. Daniel Bryan & Sheamus
There were "Brogue Kicks", "Flying Knees", and "Discus Clotheslines" but no 3 counts. In the end Erick Rowan and Luke Harper would pick up the win when Sheamus snapped and pulled a chair from under the ring. He brutally attacked Harper while Rowan was thrown into the stairs repeatedly by Daniel Bryan.
Winners: Erick Rowan & Luke Harper by DQ
            ----

            Backstage Parking Lot Segment

            *A Limousine Pulls Up*

Cole: "It's Mr. McMahon! It looks like he brought a guest as well, could that be the general manager?"

JBL: "If that is who I think it is, things are about to get a whole lot more interesting around here..."

            Backstage Interview

Renee Young: "Excuse me, Sheamus? Can you explain your actions just moments ago when you and Daniel Bryan got yourselves disqualified in your debut match?"

Sheamus: "Alright Renee, I'll explain. Tonight is all about statements and we just made a statement. You see, when two men are giving you a good fight that's when you know your doing something you love. I love fighting, in fact I love it so much I always like to make sure that eventually I'm the winner. I may have been disqualified but last time I checked only my team walked out of that ring. I say that makes me a winner."

Renee Young: "Okay, well you said you wanted to make a statement... what was it?"

Sheamus: "Well clearly I was passed over for the US Championship match tonight. So, my message is this - I want the World Title whenever they decide to reveal the damn thing. I don't care if I have to put superstars in the hospital one after the other till I get it. Tonight there are two down, so whoever our new general manager is -- your move!"
            ----

Match 4: Rob Van Dam vs. Rusev
This match was air vs. ground and it turned into quite a show. Rusev spent a lot of the match trying to ground Rob Van Dam. It would backfire nearly though when a mistake resulted in him being hit with a "Rolling Thunder". Luckily Rusev managed to roll out of the way of a splash of some sort and lock Rob in a submission he calls the "Accolade".
            Winner: Rusev by submission
            ----

*Rusev Requests a Microphone at the End of the Match*

Rusev: "I came here to America from Russia for competition. If this is the best you can do then I waste my time. Clearly I am the best there is and should be awarded the title of World Champion right now! I am the competition!"

You've Got, No Chance! No Chance In Hell!

            Cole:
"Here comes the boss and it looks like he has the general manager in tow. Hopefully now we will get some answers."

Mr. McMahon: "Excuse me Mr. Rusev, but I have an important announcement to make. You see we have our new General Manager in the building and he has big news he wanted to release before our title match tonight. So without further ado, I give you the pride of the Tennessee Wrestling Territory, Jerry "The King" Lawler!"

Jerry Lawler: "Thank you Mr. McMahon and thank you all for being here on this historic night! We are nearly at the end of what has been the first ever WWE Monday Night Raw! We have seen Divas, Beasts, A Battle of the Bearded, and Russia vs. America! This is only the beginning, we still have new titles to unveil as time goes on. However, I have been hearing an awful lot of people saying they believe they should be awarded the World Title so let's get a few things straight. Our title is called the WWE Championship and it will not be given out to someone just because they demanded it. Rusev said something good here about wanting competition. So that is what we will have, starting next week we will begin an 8 man title tournament made up of competitors who impressed me the most this week. The final match will take place at our pay-per-view in 4 weeks time!"

Mr. McMahon: "Speaking of the pay-per-view, one final announcement. Based upon earlier events with a few bearded fellows, we have come up with the name of our first pay-per-view. After the actions and words of everyone here tonight, I expect that we will see the repercussions. Therefore, in 4 weeks time WWE live on pay-per-view will bring you... Backlash!!!"
            ----

United States Championship 6-Man Over the Top Battle Royal: Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins vs. Randy Orton vs. Chris Jericho vs. Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt
Apparently Chris Jericho's cocky attitude didn't sit to well with one Bray Wyatt because the two of them began fighting on the ramp before the match even began. In fact the match began with those two still outside the ring. Roman Reigns went for a shoulder tackle on Randy Orton who sidestepped and promptly launched Reigns over the top rope for the first elimination. As all this happened Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins fought in the corner and Rollins would be eliminated by a suplex from the apron. Bray Wyatt and Chris Jericho's battle waged on until both were in the back. We see clips of the two fighting it out in the parking lot and locker rooms, I guess the US Title wasn't a priority for them. Back in the ring we see Dean Ambrose trying to throw out Randy Orton for the win but Orton tries to duck back under the second rope and is booted by Ambrose for the final elimination. Wait, here come Wyatt and Jericho! Wyatt throws Ambrose from the ring and now him and Jericho resume their battle inside the ring! Bray is reeling on the ropes and Jericho delivers two knees to the skull, Chris Jericho is your new champion!"
Winner and New United States Champion: Chris Jericho

Michael Cole: "There you have it ladies and gentlemen! Our first show has come to an end and in the ring stands a proud new champion in one Chris Jericho. What kind of champion will he be? Tune in next week to continue our historic journey!"

*Raw ends with Jericho holding his title while a confused Dean Ambrose and an irate Bray Wyatt look on*

Yeah it's tough not to fall straight into a wrestlers gimmick, so I have Batista going by his full name and calling himself the beast. Sheamus and Daniel Bryan are heel, and Bray and Jericho did their own thing so I think I'm going to run with it.

Awesome show man. Sheamus turning heel is great.

King being General Manager is cool, he couldn't do any worse than Brad Maddox

Jericho with some gold around him is always a good look. Wonder if we'll see a love triangle for the title between Ambrose, Jericho, & Wyatt

*Debut Show opens with a lot of pyrotechnics and pans to the announce team*

Michael Cole: "Hello Ladies and Gentlemen and welcome to yet another historic night as we come to you live from Detroit, Michigan! Tonight is the debut of WWE Smackdown and brings a lot of excitement and new superstars! My broadcast partner tonight as always the opinionated John Bradshaw Layfield."

JBL: "You know, I am so excited for tonight that I am going to let that cheap shot go Michael. We have an elimination tag match on tap tonight as two brothers calling themselves the Usos will face off against another team known as the Showoffs!"

Cole: "Let's not forget that we will once again have Mr. McMahon in the building to see how his first new show pans out. He again plans to come to the ring with a big announcement as well as introduce the Smackdown General Manager."

JBL: "Well I just can't wait anymore, start the first match of Smackdown history! A triple threat between some of the most athletic men I have ever seen!"

Match 1: Tyson Kidd vs. Justin Gabriel vs. Rey Mysterio

WWE get's this opening match right yet again. These superstars brought it all in this match. Rey Mysterio hit what he calls the "619" on Gabriel, Tyson Kidd locked in a sharpshooter, and Gabriel delivered several high flying moves. Rey Mysterio would finally be the one to pick up the win, pinning Justin Gabriel with a huricarana into a small package.
                        Winner: Rey Mysterio by pinfall

Renee Young: "I am standing here next to the man they are calling the Big Show. Mr. Show, you told me you had a message to send here tonight. Would you mind elaborating?"

Big Show: "Absolutely Renee, you see my message is very simple. It is a warning to the entire locker room. I am a giant, I stand at seven feet and weigh over 400 pounds. My hand alone is the size of most of these wrestlers' heads. When I ball this up into a fist and deliver it into an opponent it's inhuman. This is a weapon of mass destruction, so if you know what is good for you, when we get in that ring just lay down. I plan to be the first world champion here on Smackdown and nothing will get in my way."

*Big Show picks Fandango up and choke slams him straight through the announce table. The ref and doctors run to Fandango's side as Big Show walks up the ramp.*

JBL: "The Big Man told us his message before the match, then he delivered that message. Maybe Fandango really should have just laid down, maybe he'd be able to walk if he had."

World Tag Team Championship Elimination Tag Match: The Usos vs. The Showoffs
Smackdown's first title match was everything the fans had hoped. The Usos and Showoffs battled it out for nearly 20 minutes. Dolph Ziggler delivered a Zig-Zag to Jey Uso but failed to get the pin due to a break up by Jimmy. The Usos would respond and rally until The Miz managed to get off a "Skull Crushing Finale". He failed again to get a cover though and tagged in Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler went for another Zig-Zag and was met with a superkick for the first elimination. The Usos would roll from there and finish off The Miz with a big body splash and a clean sweep for the titles.

Cole: "Jimmy and Jey, you are the first ever tag team champions here in the WWE, how does this feel?"

Jey: "This is what you work for Michael. We came to this company with great hope to inspire and prove ourselves. This whole thing is new, we are world wide right now! To represent this company, this world as their tag champions is amazing."

Jimmy: "The Usos are here to be the best. We bring the style and titles, you just bring the opponents."

*The Miz hits Jimmy from behind with a Skull Crushing Finale while Ziggler hits Jey with the Zig-Zag. The two then take the titles and run up the ramp and out of the arena.*

JBL: "Not a good start to being champions for The Usos, they already lost the titles!"

Match 4: John Cena vs. Cesaro
As if in response to Raw's Dave Batista and Brock Lesnar match, Smackdown delivers a powerhouse match of its own. John Cena would hit the F-U on Cesaro only to have him kick out. Cesaro would then mount some offense and deliver a massive European Uppercut which Cena kicked out of. Cena then locked in a STFU but Cesaro got to the ropes. Getting off Cesaro, Cena stumbled into the ref knocking him out. Cena took this opportunity to hit Cesaro with some brass knuckles and toss them from the ring. The ref stumbles back up and counts the 1-2-3.
                        Winner: John Cena by pinfall

*Following a commercial break we see Vince McMahon standing in the center of the ring.*

Mr. McMahon: "Welcome to WWE Friday Night Smackdown! History in the making, twice in one week in fact. We have taken something that was great in its own right in professional wrestling and we have elevated it to the impossible. Last Monday we were the most watched program in the history of the USA Network! Tonight we are the number one trend on Twitter. The WWE is being talked about everywhere! Now, I didn't come out here to just congratulate myself. I actually have a few announcements. First of all, the WWE Pay-Per-View Backlash that will take place in just over 3 weeks time, will be a Raw exclusive. This means that Smackdown will have a pay-per-view in May that has yet to be named. Moving on, tonight we will have two more tag team matches made up of a few selected superstars. The winners of these matches will move on next week to face each other. The winners of that match will then square off against one another to crown the first ever WWE Intercontinental Champion! Which brings me to the final announcement, you're all sitting here wondering who made these matches? Who is the Smackdown General Manager? I am proud to present the General Manager of Friday Night Smackdown.... Me!!!!"

JBL: "Oh my god Michael! Did you here that!? The man behind the company is going to run Smackdown himself! We are so lucky!"

Cole: "I heard him, the crowd seems to support the idea as well. How could you not with all Mr. McMahon has given to us, should be interesting to say the least."

Match 5: Kofi Kingston & Damien Sandow vs. Curtis Axel & Cody Rhodes
Everyone in this match knew what was at stake. There were high flying moves of Kofi Kingston, theatrical moves by Damien Sandow, technical moves from Cody Rhodes, and perfect-plexs from Curis Axel. In the end however Kofi Kingston and Damien Sandow gelled better as a team and Axel would be pinned following an "S.O.S." from Kingston.

This main event was all over the place. Wade Barrett hit a devastating elbow on Swagger that was broken up by Ryback. Swagger and Ryback would then take momentum and Swagger would lock in his "Patriot Lock" on Barrett who scrambled to the ropes. Barrett went for his elbow called the "Bull Hammer" a second time and was sent for a ride by Ryback. All hell broke loose and eventually all the competitors were down in the ring and struggling to continue. Eventually Ryback would get to his feet and pick up the exhausted Wade Barrett and deliver the "Shellshocked" as Swagger tossed CM Punk from the ring.

It's tough I admit, I keep wanting to fall back on their personas and have a bit but I can also look at WWE and see things certain guys would be good at doing or being and I'm trying to feed off that.
