Re: Franch1se: NXT-Universe
NXT Re-Boot
William Regal opens the show in the Middle of the ring after the opening credit signature rolls.
WR: Ladies and Gentleman, after a long time off, WELCOME to the NEW NXT!! Our superstars have gone through immense training to bring you the best show tonight. After the long lock out, and change in Ownership, we promise to bring you a show tonight that will last in your memories for a life time. Therefore, to re-launch the brand, we have TWO title matches tonight that promise to be amazing, as well as a solid card from top to bottom. Tonights Card is as follows.
NXT Championship: AJ Styles (Champion) vs Shinsuke Nakamura
NXT Womens Title (Vacant): Sasha Banks vs Asuka
Sami Zayn vs Finn Balor
Samoa Joe vs Tyler Breeze
Austin Aries (Light Heavyweight Champion) vs Fandango
Match 1: We get to see one of the NXT champions be the first entrant with the new NXT. Light Heavyweight Champion Austin Aries makes his way to the ring, polishing his belt upon arrival. This is a non-title match which the champion is heavily favored. Fandango then comes out to the ring...solo...with the crowd "Fandango-ing" to the music. Once the music ended, it was all business for our champion Austin Aries attacking Fandango who was caught off-guard. Fandango never really recovered and got settled in. Aries hit his brain buster and picked up the easy victory.
Match 2: Samoa Joe vs Tyler Breeze
Tyler Breeze used his quickness early to get the upper advantage, however once Joe got rolling, he was very hard to stop. This was a classic example of size vs speed, in which size won out. Breeze was able to hit the beauty shot, but did not do much damage to Joe, who hit a series of Chimera-Plexes followed by a Muscle Buster for the win. Joe wasn't finished either, he lifted Breeze up after the match and hit a SECOND Muscle Buster. Joe later grabbed the MIC and issued a statement to the NXT Universe, as well as the winner of the Main Event Tonight. "This long break made me hungrier, hungrier for that title that I've never rightfully be given a shot at to win yet. So AJ Styles.....Shinsuke Nakamura, I'm putting you both on notice. Whoever wins tonight, will have to deal with the wrath of Joe. Watch your back". Joe dropped the mic and walked off to a chorus of boos.
Match 3: Finn Balor vs Sami Zayn
Balor vs Zayn. Two crowd favorites who also want to be in the NXT Championship picture. The Crowd is split with Ole! Ole! Ole! chants, as well as FINN FINN FINN. The two start off with tremendous chain wrestling, counters, and reversals. The crowd is hot and loving it. No wrestler ever had the upper hand and dominated the match at any point. Zayn hit the Blue Thunder Bomb to a count of 2! He then threw Finn into the corner and loaded up for the Heluva Kick but Finn ducks out of the way! Zayn is caught with one leg on the top turnbuckle which allows Finn to hit the Bloody Sunday from behind but Zayn kicks out at 2! Finn is in disbelief.
Finn goes up to the top rope and goes for the Coupe-De-Grace but Zayn rolls out of the way and locks in the Koji-Clutch! Balor is able to get the ropes however and Zayn has a look on his face of frustration. Zayn then picks up Balor and attempts an exploder suplex into the corner but Finn blocks it with an attack of elbows, throws Zayn off the ropes and hits the Slingblade! Finn climbs to the top turnbuckle and hits the Coupe-De Grace for the win!
After the match the two hugged it out and shook hands to the applause and "That was Awesome" and "NXT NXT NXT" chants by the Universe.
Match 4: NXT ****** Championship: Sasha Banks vs Asuka
Just like the previous match, a hot mixed crowd with Lets go Sasha and Asuka's gonna kill you chants. Banks dominated early on, but Asuka was able to get in her share of offense. These 2 women really showed why the NXT are Woman and not Divas, and why the Universe loves NXT wrestling so much. Banks hits an early Backstabber but Asuka was able to roll out of the ring before Banks could get the pin. The two continue to battle and the match has quickly turned from technical wrestling to an all-out slugfest between the two. Banks sets up for a clothesline that misses, and Asuka hits the spinning back heel kick to a count of 2! Asuke then locks in the Asuka lock however was too close to the ropes and Banks was able to break up the move. The match is now into it's 20th minute. Banks hits another Backstabber!!
1......2.......KICKOUT!
Sasha gets into the refs face screaming at him "That was 3!!".
With her back turned, Asuka sneaks up from behind and locks in ANOTHER Asuka lock..to which The Boss taps! Asuka is the NEW NXT Womens Champion.
After the Match we hear a family tune play...."Let's light it up!!" AJ Lee is back! She appears on the ramp and claps her hands for the champ with a devilish look on her face. AJ, smiles, cocks her head, turns around and skips off the ramp.
Match 5: NXT Championship: AJ Styles (C) vs Shinsuke Nakamura
We Hear AJ's theme, and a rare NXT entrance of the Champ in the ring first.
We then hear Nakamura's theme song and the King of Strong Style, the challenger, make his way to the ring, never taking his eye off Styles.
The two contestants enter the ring. The bell rings and both men just stare at each other. The Crowd is already chanting "This is AWESOME". We are quickly reminded by the announcers of these two recently having a highly contested match up at Wrestle Kingdom in Japan, which would be AJ's last match before joining WWE.
Both men seem to have each other figured out, after a long bout not too long ago. The two men seem to know each others every move and no one had the upper hand until around the 10 minute mark into the match. Nakamura thought he threw Styles out of the ring, however AJ remained on the apron. Nakamura turns around and Styles hits a springboard elbow from the outside. Styles hits a series of slaps, both back handed and regular, a series of kicks and tried to finish it off with a back elbow, to which Nakamura ducked and hit a standing enziguri. Nakamura throws Styles into the corner and hits a running lifted knee. Styles is down and Nakamura sets him up for the Strong Style Knee.
Styles ducks and locks in the Calf-Killer! The crowd is hot chanting "TAP, TAP, TAP", however Nakamura does not, and gets to the bottom rope. The two begin countering each others moves and Nakamura hits a Death Valley Driver for a count of two! Such a close near-fall. Both men are visibly exhausted. We are now into the 30th minute of the match. Styles throws Nakamura off the ropes, leap frog by Nakamura, who attempts to return with a clothesline, styles ducks, PELE KICK!. 1.....2.....KICKOUT. Styles lifts up Nakamura, taunts him, and hits the Styles Clash to retain his NXT Championship belt!
We hear Samoa Joe's Music hit and he stares down Styles to close the show.

Re: Franch1se: NXT-Universe
Opening Pyro completes and AJ Styles theme starts the show and we see our champion head down to the ring.
AJ: Last week, Samoa Joe warned me to watch my back. Now Joe, we've known each other for a very long time now, and you know I don't back down from any challenge. You also owe it to me to do things right, and to come say it to my face. If you...
Samoa Joe's music hits and he heads down to the ring.
SJ: AJ, I meant every word about what I said last week. But know this...everything is strictly for that belt hanging over your shoulder. You know I respect you and all of your talent. All i want, is that belt, which I have never gotten a shot at yet.
Samoa Joe extends his hand out to the champ and AJ and Joe shake hands. AJ nods his head in a sign of approval and turns away to head out of the ring. Just then, Samoa Joe grabs the back of his hair and slams him to the ground! Joe picks up styles and hits a series of Chimera Plexes. Joe then picks up Styles and hits the Muscle Buster! Joe gets ready to apply the Coquina Clutch when Sting runs down and makes the attempted save. Sting yells at Joe, "What are you doing??" Joe then headbutts Sting and locks in the Coquina Clutch until the superstars from the back and referees have to separate and pull Joe away.
William Regal announces Samoa Joe vs Sting next week.
Match 1: Adrian Neville vs Rob Van Dam
Our opening contest is a match that showcased current and past superstars alike. A very fast paced match, which showed off some high flying aerial offense from Neville, and much of the same, albeit it a lot slower from RVD really brought the crowd to their feet. Chants of "You still got it" filled the NXT arena for the former Mr. Monday Night. RVD does his signature taunt and Neville attempts a roll up for a count of 2. Neville goes up top for the Red Arrow but RVD gets his knees up. RVD climbs to the top....5 STAR FROG SPLASH! 1....2.....3!
Winner: Rob Van Dam
Match 2: Blake & Murphy vs The Vaudevillians
Blake starts the match off vs Simon Gotch. As expected, the Vaudevillians displayed precise technical wrestling abilities throughout the match that really get under the skin of Blake & Murphy. After an Alexa Bliss distraction, Blake rolled up Aiden English for the victory.
Winner: Blake & Murphy
Match 3: AJ Lee vs Eva Marie
You couldn't ask for a worse situation for the Red-Headed Diva. The classic fan hatred, paired with the return match for one of its most popular Divas, AJ Lee. "Let's Light it Up" hits and out comes the skipping happy diva with the pop of the night, followed by Eva Marie, who had the nights biggest heat. In a very quick squash match, AJ Lee hit the shining wizard for the victory. After the match, Asuka's music hit and stared down AJ from the ramp. Asuka then clapped for the victorious Lee and then skipped off stage mocking AJ.
Winner: AJ Lee
Match 4: American Alpha (NXT Tag Team Champs) vs The Ascension
Our second tag team match of the night showed off our current Champions of American Alpha take on Konnor and Viktor of The Ascension. At this point, we can no longer be impressed with anything that Chad Gable does. Gable continues to impress every chance he gets in the ring. The Ascension begin to get a little offense in, but Jason Jordan comes in and the powerhouse of the group cleans house and eventually picks up the victory the our Tag Team champs.
Winner: American Alpha
Match 5: Alberto Del Rio vs Hideo Itami
This match showed our second surprise return as Alberto Del Rio has arrived on NXT! His return however went disappointing as Hideo Itami eventually picked up the victory after hitting the GTS on Del Rio. After the match, Del Rio could not control his rage and temper as he attacked Itami in his celebration with vicious chair shots to the arm. With Itami withering in pain, Del Rio locked in the arm bar to the screaming Itami. Jushin Thunder Liger came to make the save. William Regal announced Alberto Del Rio vs Jushin Thunder Liger for next week.
Winner: Hideo Itami
Match 6: AJ Styles (NXT Champion) vs Rhyno
In our Main Event, we got to see our champion AJ Styles take on ECW Original Rhyno. This match was much closer than expected, and the powerhouse Rhyno got several close near falls and even hit his signature finishing move The Gore on Styles. Once Styles got rolling however, he was very hard to stop. Styles hit multiple kicks, enzigures and Pele kicks which grounded the Man Beast Rhyno. Styles heads to the outside apron and hit the Phenomenal Forearm, followed by The Styles clash for the victory.
Winner: AJ Styles

Re: Franch1se: NXT-Universe
NXT RE-CAP
Match 1: Tyler Breeze vs Apollo Crews
Prince Pretty returns to NXT and complains about being mistreated on the “Main Roster”. Breeze goes on to state his importance to the NXT brand. Breeze gets interrupted by Apollo Crews, who the crowd is still in limbo with regarding to cheer or boo. Crews and Breeze exchange attacks early on with Crews power eventually being too much for Breeze to handle. Crews hits the Gorilla Press, followed by a Standing Moonsault to pick up the victory.
Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady w/ Carmella make their way to ringside, doing their usual schtick on the mic.
EA: We are, the best tag team in N-X-T. It’s a shame that we don’t have the those tag team belts around our waist. Listen here Jordan….Gable….when you get the balls to defend the titles against the most dominate team in N-X-T….you know where to find us…
THE DUDLEYZ!!! What are Bubba Ray and Devon doing on NXT!
BR: You wan’t to talk about dominance? We have been dominating the tag team division, in ever decade, era, and promotion we are in. If you wan’t a challenge, you HAVE ONE!
Match 2: Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady vs The Dudley Boyz
As much as the NXT Universe loves Enzo and Cass, the crowd was more excited and marking out at seeing the Dudley Boyz return to a WWE Ring, let alone NXT. The Dudleyz came out in full force and obviously caught Enzo and Cass off-guard giving them zero time to prepare for arguably the greatest tag team in wrestling history. Dudleyz hit the double flapjack on Enzo, followed up by the “Wassssssup”. Enzo gets thrown off the ropes and gets finished off by the Dudley Death Drop (3D). Bubba Ray & Devon look better than ever in their return to the WWE and have submitted themselves firmly in the NXT Tag Team title race. American Alpha now have another dangerous tag team to fear.
Match 3: Asuka (NXT Womens champion) vs Carmella
Asuka thoroughly dominated this match as expected. Asuka had the Asuka lock in firmly until “Lets Light it UP” begins being blasted over the speakers. Asuka released the hold and stared as AJ Lee skipped down to the ring and circled the ring never taking her eyes and smile off Asuka. Carmella pulled off the upset victory as she rolled up Asuka for the 3! Asuka was very frustrated and upset in herself as she allowed herself to be fooled and tricked by AJ.
Match 4: Alberto Del Rio vs Jushin Thunder Liger
This match did not last very long as Del Rio escaped to the outside and began viciously attacking Liger with a steel chair. Del Rio delivered chair shot after chair shot to the arm and eventually locked in the arm bar. Itami ran down to make the save and kicked Del Rio out of the ring. The rivalry continues to develop. Although this was a DQ loss for Del Rio by results of his actions, El Patron is now 0-2 sine returning to WWE.
Match 5: Samoa Joe vs Sting
Joe made his way down to the ring to a loud chorus of boo’s. Joe doesn’t seem to care and dominated the much older Sting from the opening bell. You can tell Joe is very focused and his eyes on the prize of AJ Styles NXT Championship belt. The turning point of the match was a counter from Joe when Sting had a quick glimmer of hope and attempted a Stinger Splash. Joe caught Sting and threw him down with a ST. Joe’s side slam. He throws Sting into the corner and hits a standing enizguri, followed by a Chimera Plex. Joe then finishes Sting off with a Muscle Buster for the 3 count. Joe heads outside and grabs a chair. Joe grabbed the mic after the match warning AJ again to watch his back. Styles appears on the titantron and challenges Joe to a match next week on NXT.
Match 6: Daniel Bryan vs Finn Balor
This dream match fully lived up to everyones expectations. In a match that lasted nearly 30 minutes, it saw everything from multiple close finishes, to counters, reversals and plant of “This is Wrestling” and “This is Awesome chants”. Balor had Bryan set up near the corner and hit a running drop kick launching Bryan into the corner, followed by a buckle power bomb. Balor went up top and hit the Coupe-de-grace but Bryan kicked out at 2! Balor is shocked and couldn’t believe his eyes. He asked the ref if he was sure, who was rolled up for a 2 count from behind by Bryan. Balor goes for a kick which is ducked by Bryan who hits a series of kicks. Bryan loads up for a final head kick, which is ducked by Balor who hits Bryan with the Bloody Sunday for ANOTHER count of 2! Balor climbs up top and hits a SECOND Coupe de Grace but Bryan rolls out of the ring. Finn is infuriated at this time and is visibly shaken kicking the ropes and shaking his head in frustration. Bryan sneaks in unbeknownst to Balor, Finn turns around and Bryan hits a running knee! 1….2….KICK OUT. Now Bryan is upset. Finn goes for a punch which was caught and countered by Bryan into the Yes Lock!! Finn taps!!! And Bryan survives Balor.
After the match we see a video playing...unfamiliar music and the crowd does not know what to think. We see a timer....we see a message appear, "2 weeks until I Takeover

Re: Franch1se: NXT-Universe
NXT RE-CAP
The Rising Sun hits and out comes The King of Strongstyle Shinsuke Nakamura. YEAOH! The crowd goes wild as the charismatic flamboyant superstar heads to the ring to begin NXT.
Match 1: Shinsuke Nakamura vs Goldust
Nakamura dominated this match with fierce strikes and knees to Goldust. Goldust had zero offensive moves in this match as Nakamura continues to climb the ranks in the NXT Title chase. Nakamura sets Goldust up in the corner and hits the running knee lift. Nakamura heads to the corner, does his signature corner set up taunt and hits the Bomaya for the victory.
Match 2: American Alpha (Tag Team Champions) vs Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady
The tag team champions make their way to the ring looking confident as ever. Enzo & Cass last week proclaimed their stake into the Tag Team Titles when they were Interrupted by The Dudley Boyz. Enzo and Cass made an announcement on WWE.com that they were going to get revenge on The Dudleys and have issued a challenge to them for NXT next week, it still remains to be seen what the Dudleys will say.
Gable and Enzo start the match off with fast paced offense. Gable gets the upper hand and makes the tag to Jordan. Jordan delivers multiple various suplexes to Enzo who eventually makes a tag to Cassady. Cassady is rolling on offense when out of nowhere Bubba Ray and Devon hit a 3D on Cassady. Devon grabs a mic. “You want to challenge US!! Well there is your answer….you got us!! TESTTIFFYYYY”.
Match 3: Paige vs Alicia Fox
In a one sided womens match, it was Paige who demonstrated the abilities of why she should be the next #1 contender for the NXT Womens championship. This match did not last long, and it was Paige who picked up the victory after locking in the PTO.
After the match we see another cryptic display and words similar to last week….
In One Week…the landscape of NXT Changes. Forget everything you think you know. Because NXT….. IT will NEVER be the same.
Match 4: Alberto Del Rio vs Hideo Itami
We’ve seen Alberto Del Rio have his issues since returning to WWE with Hideo Itami. Alberto Del Rio took out weeks of built up frustration out on Itami this match and we saw several close finishes. Del Rio did a very outstanding job this match working on the left arm and shoulder of Itami and it later paid off as Itami attempted a GTS, however did not have the strength to keep Del Rio up. Del Rio countered into an arm bar which eventually led to Itami to tap for Alberto Del Rio to pick up his first victory since returning to WWE.
Match 5: Samoa Joe vs Zack Ryder
Samoa Joe continued his mean streak and quest for AJ Styles NXT title and this time, his victim was Zack Ryder. Joe’s absolute dominance has to give AJ something to think about. Joe delivered multiple suplexes onto Ryder, as well as many vicious slaps and kicks. Joe hits a corner enziguri on Ryder and then the Muscle Buster for the victory.
[b][i]AJ Styles makes his way to the ring, NXT title on shoulder and begins to cut a promo on Joe and how he will never be scared or intimidated when all of a sudden CULT OF PERSONALITY HITS!!! Its PUNK!!
Punk grabs a mic to a very loud “HOLY ****” chant. Punk talks about the change that is happening in the WWE and NXT. He states the change began with him, and it only sees fit he returns to complete his mission.
Match 6: AJ Styles (NXT Champion) vs CM Punk
“This is AWESOME” chant begins before the match even starts. Punk and Styles trade blows. Styles hits a phenomenal forearm that sends Punk to the outside. Styles bounces off the ropes and suicide dives onto Punk which sends him into the barricade. Styles rolls Punk back into the ring but gets hit by a flying knee in the corner. Punk follows it up with a running bulldog and a springboard clothesline. Styles is dazed. Punk sets him up for the GTS, he has Styles on his shoulders but Styles elbows out, lands on his feet and hits the Pele Kick to a count of 2.. Styles begins to set Punk up for the Styles clash when Samoa Joe’s music hits. Joe runs to the ring and he and Styles begin trading blows. The bell rings and AJ wins via DQ.
Joe gets the upper hand and hits Styles with a Muscle Buster. Joe stands with one foot on Styles and the NXT Title in his other hand. Joe raises the title as it fades to black.

Re: Franch1se: NXT-Universe
NXT RE-CAP
The show opens up with Christian standing in the middle of the ring hosting the Peep Show. All of a sudden the lights go out and the whole arena is pitch black. We see a video on the titantron appear. You don’t have IT. You may think you know but you have NO idea. IT’s time for a change…and that time..is…NOW. The crowd goes wild and we hear The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase’s music hit…and he's on the ramp! The NXT Universe is confused.
TD: HA-HA-HA-HA. Don’t worry NXT, I’m not the guy you’ve been waiting for, but I represent everything there is about him. You see, to be a star in this business, you need many qualities. You have to have a star presence, you have to draw money. You have to have the look, the swagger, the charisma, the talent, you have to be MONEY. My client, has all of that, he has IT, there is NOTHING he can’t do. He is the heir apparent, the IT factor!! And tonight, you will all see. HA-HA-HA-HA
It’s BOBBY ROODE here in NXT.
Match 1: Bobby Roode vs Christian
Roode attacks Christian right as the opening bell rings. Roode throws a series of knees, punches, and kicks to Christian in the corner. Christian struggles to get to his knees and Roode nails him with a Northern Lariat. Roode picks Christian up and hits a spinning spinebuster, followed by the Roode Bomb to pick up the quick victory.
Match 2: Sasha Banks vs Eva Marie
The Boss comes out to a huge pop. Sasha continues her run through the Womens division with hopes to get her hands on Asuka who beat her for the NXT Womens Championship. This was a quick squash match which saw Banks pick up the win with the Banks Statement.
Match 3: Finn Balor vs Jushin Thunder Liger
It’s always a treat whenever NXT is able to use Jushin Thunder Liger and this match sure delivered. These two men are familiar with each other dating back to their Rev-Pro days, and it showed throughout the match. Liger looked to be in control when he attempted to hit Balor with a running boot in the corner, however Balor was able to duck out of the way and hit a corner pele kick which sent Liger to the floor. Balor then was able to hit a running drop kick which sent Liger to the outside. Finn hit a top rope cross body and quickly rolled Liger into the ring for a 2-count. Balor hit the sling blade, followed by the Coupe de Grace to pick up the hard fought victory.
Match 4: The Dudley Boyz vs Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady
The Realest guys head to the ring with Enzo doing his routine schtick on the mic. Cassady begins to talk when the Dudley Boyz interrupt and head to the ring in a very bad mood. The Dudley Boyz dominated Enzo the entire match, and Big Cass never got into the ring. Whenever there was a close tag, a Dudley always made a distraction or pulled Cass off the apron. The Dudley Boyz hit the 3D on Enzo for the win.
Match 5: Sami Zayn vs Rob Van Dam
Easily the match of the night. The Crowd was hot throughout this entire match. RVD had the advantage early on and received “You still got it” chants. RVD seemed to catch Zayn off guard with his start and got a quick 2 after hitting a rolling thunder. Zayn was able to regroup and hit a blue thunder bomb which also netted a 2 count. RVD rolled to the outside when Zayn hit his signature diving DDT through the turnbuckle. RVD crawled back into the ring at a count of 8. Zayn went for the Heluva kick which was countered into a roll up for another count of 2. RVD climbed to the top and attempted a 5-star frog splash but Zayn moved out of the way and quickly hit an exploder suplex in the corner. Zayn hit the Heluva kick to pick up the victory.
Match 6: Samoa Joe vs Tyler Breeze
Quick squash match to end the night. Joe hit Breeze with the Muscle Buster for the victory. After the match, Joe grabbed a mic and called out AJ Styles, however the champ never answered the call as the show goes off air. Joe ended by calling Styles soft and scared and declared that he will take the belt from him at Takeover.
