Hard to say. Lately, AU has out-recruited UGA. I think that's been obvious the last 2 years. But I think Mark Richt is the top coach in the SEC. But his asst coaches aren't as good as Auburn's. I think both schools have their strengths. UGA's is definitely head coaching. Auburn's is definitely assistant coaching.

But if i type perception 3 more times in this post maybe i will set the OS record. Or maybe thats just a perception.
You know, I had a long *** post that I typed up, but I realized we're just interpereting eachother wrong.

We both agree somewhat, but think the other is saying something else.

We can all agree with the origonal post that no SEC team is heads and shoulders the best.

When I say LSU doesn't have the talent they're percieved to have, I mean the perception some have that they're hands down the best in the SEC.

Now we can all hug and be friends.

        OOOOOOOHHHH the irony.

People look at all of those stars besides LSU's recruits' names and consider them more talented than any other team in the SEC.

You point out LaRon Landry....having one good safety isn't what makes "experts" call LSU the most talented team in the league, etc. It's all those unproven "stars" that come in each year. It's that way everywhere...case in point..Florida State.

Dear Lord..if the stars next to a guy's name meant ANYTHING...Florida State would be working on their 17th national title in the last 20 years.

But hell..you keep thinking that they are rating teams based off of returning starters like Landry.....

Like a previous poster said..I guess that's why FSU, OU, or USC get rated in the preseason top 10 on years where they lose their entire backfield, 12 starters, etc. It's because of their 4-6 returning starters.

Absolutely not. I think Borges and Muschamp are better than Richt as OC and Martinez as DC. Much better. I still think Richt makes too many tactical errors i.e. fundamental coaching things. Clock management appears poor, he at times is too conservative, and at times is too enamoured with passing and trick plays. Frankly I think they don't run the ball enough and it kicks them in the butt when they lose almost everytime.

The SEC is still a running league, though it's became less so since the 80s with SOS at UF. UGA doesn't run the ball enough, and AU runs it just the right amount.

I also don't believe that UGA's Strength and Conditioning is up to the level of AU's. A lot of fat blobs on UGA. We're tougher than them and it's showed the last two years.

oddly enough however, UGA and AU are equal in SEC titles the last 2 years...

this pissing match could go on for days. so lets just end it at AU and UGA aren't too far apart either way.

It's the SEC, everyone's fast. The only guy that's perticularly fast in comparison is Carter and he has yet to do anything on the football field.
