Re: 2010 Recruiting Thread
Latwan Anderson is making a last ditch effort to get Tressel to give him a spot at OSU... not sure how its going to turn out there.
The staff is confident that '09 OL Morgan Moses can pass admissions with a little work on his part, and if he does make a visit in the next few weeks, that would be a good sign of his academic standing.
I'm not sure how the numbers are going to pan out... Henderson has a spot if he commits, thats for sure.Ohio State Buckeyes | Carolina Panthers | Charlotte Hornets | Cincinnati RedsComment

Re: 2010 Recruiting Thread
Auburn has apparently parted ways with 3 Star RB/Athlete commit D.J. Howard. He has been removed from the commit list on the Scout site and Rivals is also reporting that Howard no longer has a firm offer from AU.
Howard is a blazingly fast kid who is dead set on playing tailback. Auburn coaches feel he could be an NFL safety, but told him they would honor his request to play RB.
However, Clemson's coaching staff has been hotly pursuing Howard as their #1 RB target, as well as Kentucky.
After saying 2 weeks ago that he would not take any more visits and was firmly committed to AU....Howard went to Clemson and is headed to Kentucky this weekend.
That was apparently the final straw with Chiz and Co. and they have apparently moved on.
I think the kid is a wonderful athlete, but with the possibility of having both the #1 and #2 High School RBs in America coming to Auburn with Howard, guarantees at RB are not exactly rock solid.
Wish the kid the best and he may very well turn into a superstar ball carrier at either Clemson or UK.AUBURN TIGERS

Re: 2010 Recruiting Thread
Well, the D.J. Howard Saga continues.
After being taken off the Scout commit list, Howard is back on it with Auburn. Have no idea what's going on with that kid. Could be a Auburn Tiger on Wed...or by then he could be a Clemson Tiger or Kentucky Wildcat.
In other news, it appears that Auburn is about to snatch another top out of state prospect away from the home team.
It's being reported that Arkansas 4 star DT Byran Jones, who hasn't publicly come out yet, has told other Auburn recruits that he's made up his mind to go to Auburn. It's been posted and stickied by Auburn moderators on the AU board who seem pretty sure that it's a done deal.
Jones is suppose to be announcing on Wed. on ESPNU.
This would be a HUGE pickup for Auburn if true. Jones and Whitaker are the final pieces to this class that AU needs....even more so than Lattimore. That being said, I still expect Lattimore to be a Tiger as well Tues. Night when he announces at his church.AUBURN TIGERS

Re: 2010 Recruiting Thread
4* JuCo DB Dequan Menzie commits to Alabama. That might be the nail in the coffin for the Keenan Allen dream though I've heard some say it could be Deion Belue's grades aren't panning out and it could be his spot. He's a good player though and will contribute immediately.Last edited by trobinson97; 01-31-2010, 11:11 PM.PS: You guys are great.
