Re: 2010 Recruiting Thread
Top rated QB out of Virginia, Philip Sims commits to BAMA.
Sims said he was told he'd be the only QB signee in 2010. After he made his choice, he talked to Rivals.com about Saban's reaction.
"When I told Coach Saban my decision, he was pretty estatic and told me he was happy to have me," Sims said. "I am solid with my decision. Alabama is where I am going."PS: You guys are great.

Re: 2010 Recruiting Thread
OSU's going to get theirs one way or another. Always good to see talent come into the conference one way or another, even though I wish UM would should RR the door.
Yeah, Marvin told Lloyd he wanted to be a Wolverine two years ago at camp when he was first "offered". LC told him to wait. He then committed to RR when he visited for the MSU game, but (obviously) didn't go public with it. After this past weekend, he can't wait to get it out there.
Especially helpful because Ricardo's going to Huron this year, so having M-Rob out there publically committed will give us another star player working the kids in Florida. M-Rob's pretty close with top 250 CB Nickell Robey from Frostproof too.Comment

Coach O lands DT Risean Broussard from LaGrange High School in Lake Charles, La.
The Vols have huge needs on both sides of the line. Great job by Orgeron, who no doubt used his deep Lousiana ties.Comment

Conflicting reports here, some say Ohio State backed off Matt James (Rumored to be because of where we stand with other recruits) and he is close to committing ND, others say he is still being heavily recruited by the staff..Ohio State Buckeyes | Carolina Panthers | Charlotte Hornets | Cincinnati RedsComment

Re: 2010 Recruiting Thread
Alabama got a commit from ATH WIlson Love yesterday (brother of 08' BAMA commit Tyler Love), and also landed it's first 2011 commit with in-state receiver Marvin Shin.
"I committed to Alabama today,” Shinn said Saturday night. "I didn’t feel like there was any point to wait any longer. Alabama is the school I wanted to go to my whole life. I have always wanted to play at Alabama."PS: You guys are great.

Re: 2010 Recruiting Thread
Here's a dose of news that would be much more exciting if it came out in nine months, but regardless, Dallas Skyline linebacker Corey Nelson has named Michigan his leader over Texas, Oklahoma and LSU.
I will now ignore (read: follow obsessively) Nelson until NSD, because this is wayyyyy too early.Comment

Miami gets a commit from Jacksonville 4* defensive/offensive tackle Tavadis Glenn. Would be huge is this ever sticks to the end because we need offensive line help.Comment
