Nothing's ever certain in recruiting until the LOI is faxed in, but I have a hard time believing a star recruit in the state of Alabama would decommit from Saban. Especially a DB.

Not quite as fast as Corey Grant, though. Grant can run, he outran Milliner by a full half second in the 100.

Also, to say we don't have a leg up on the other schools in the recruitment of Lattimore is pretty ludicrous. He already had us as #1, had a great weekend up at Auburn (by all accounts, his interviews, videos of him hanging out, and facebook), and Auburn was the public leader before the visit. I would say at the very least we have a leg up.

I would be fine with signing one of the big 3 and Corey Grant. I bet that will happen.

He's a solid player and I'd love to have him, but he is a bit overrated being ranked as the #1 cb. IMO he's a 4*.

          LOL. Yeah right.

Nick Saban is one greedy SOB. Two years running, he's gotten the #1 corner in the nation. And with the way he coaches up the DB's, that's not a good thing for our opponents.

Congrats. Grant can outrun Milliner in a race that will never happen on a football field.

I don't think its a huge stretch to say he might be 'overrated.' He ran a couple good 40 times at a camp, and skyrockted to number 1. I won't get into any other reasons why he might be rated that high.

Great player no doubt. I could see the argument why he shouldnt be number 1 though.

Skyrocketed? He was already #30 in the Rivals100 without the ridiculous display of speed he put on. Not exactly a huge jump.

In general, you can judge how much of a stud a player is by his offer list. Millner's offer list doesnt really compare to the players directly around him in the top 10. All I said was I could see the argument.

Still a good player no doubt.

My sentiments. The better they get up front, the better chance the Heels can finally get a running game teams fear. Been too long since the days of Lawrence, Bryant, Horton & Means.

Offer lists are just like stars, you can interpret them to mean anything. The fact that he's a 5-star player with an offer from a head coach known for his coaching ability with DB's makes his case for elite status IMO.

He reminds me a lot of Phelon Jones, not bad, but not the greatest cb in his class.

And from watching his highlights, it seems like you guys will need to utilize him on offense. He's a very good back.

His rating skyrocketed due to his performance at a camp(which is the reason most recruits get bumped up or down in the summer). Alabama being his leader has nothing to do with it.

and Phelon Jones was before your time. You were what, 12 when he signed with LSU?

You can't dispute the fact that players have gotten bumped up before because of recruitment from Alabama, just as players have gotten bumped up after being recruited by the likes of Notre Dame. It's all about the Benjamin's, Husker.

I compared him to Phelon Jones because their numbers are almost identical. Jones and Milliner are both about 6'2'', run 40's in the 4.3's, and we the only time Milliner ever played cb was for 3 games freshman year.
