Ahmad Dixon decommited from Baylor and gave tennesee a commitment. I
hate losing such talented guys from
      our own backyard.

Maybe if Baylor starts winning they can
      hang on to those guys.

Don't you EVER read my blog? It's gotten a lot better.

Definition: A "Dead Period," as the name implies, is a time when nearly all recruiting activity is temporarily shut down.

During a dead period, coaches cannot:
          • Make in-person recruiting contacts
          • Conduct in-person evaluations -- on or off-campus
          • Schedule official campus visits
          • Allow unofficial campus visits
          • Offer complimentary tickets to games
The only permissible communications during a dead period are phone calls (limited by NCAA regulations to one call per week) and correspondence.
          .

Anyways, a bit puzzled as to why Latwan Anderson even made an announcement. He's still taking officail visits and he hasn't made a final decision on his choice. I think the kid is an immensely talented player and even said as such when I didn't see an OSU offer, but he's got some glaring character issues IMO that have shown throughout his recruitment.

Meh. Florida's way down the list of concerns. First and foremost is Randy Shannon and his gaggle of clowns.

I thought I remembered a few years ago that Shannon was the guy everyone wanted? Has he fallen that far?

Not I. I wanted a REAL head coach. Never wanted Shannon. As soon as he was announced as the coach, I wept.

                    Re: 2010 Recruiting Thread

This hasn't been posted in here yet but given how the Buckeyes struck out yesterday at the AA game it needs to be... former 5* DE/OLB Jamel Turner will be a Buckeye. As you may recall, he had committed to the Buckeyes in December of 2008, and then promptly headed to prep school after his junior year ended due to off-the-field issues and behavioral problems.

Well, after a year at Fork Union he hasn't had any problems and has reportedly turned things around... he plans to be in Columbus in June. At the end of the article reporting this, Jamel thanked Buckeye nation for their support and said he won't let them down.

Rivals 3* WR/CB Bradley Roby supposedly will switch his verbal from Vanderbilt to Ohio State.

4* DT Tavaris Barnes switched his commitment from FSU to Clemson. Dot Com said this was the kid he expected FSU to lose last week. For the new staff he was too small to play DT in a 3-4 but not quick enough to play DE. Sucks to lose him but it hopefully frees up a spot for J.R. Ferguson.

Louisville picked up two more committments yesterday:

1* 6'1" WR Kai Dominguez from New Jersey

                        2* 6'1" S Senorise Perry from Georgia
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Well it is a long shot, but with our staff, I wouldnt be very surprised. Prater is taking a visit with UT this week as early as Tuesday.

I am taking it that he graduated early so that is why he'd take a midweek visit. I really wish FSU would try to pull in a 5* WR who isn't a thug loser (I'm looking at you Fred Rouse!).

Yeah, he is a early graduate and would have enrolled at USC Monday.

Except Florida State will continue to run the 4-3. Also, I highly doubt Ferguson ends up at Florida State. They are still fighting to get his last official visit.
