Miami loses 4*LB Javarie Johnson to Maryland. Nice. To replace him, Shannon brings in 2*LB all the way from Cali, Kevin Cain.

Sims is now a heavy UT lean. I really didnt think he would fit into our offense, but I guess they have told him something that he liked. He wants to play on the offensive side of the ball, but I just dont see where he would be. He is a heck of a talent though and I think he has fallen in our laps because Bama doesnt have room for him?

Alabama has room for him, and it would be a legit great steal for UT if they get him I have to admit. Saban wants him, and word is he had a long talk with him and his folks, resulting in Sims taking his official to Bama this weekend and currently is not taking any other visits.

Kiffin and the ogre obviously got into his head a bit but I like Bama's chances if Saban gets him Tuscaloosa. Will be interesting to see how it goes and it probably won't get resolved til' NSD. He's got some great skills and I'd love to see him in Crimson.

From everything I've read, Saban told him he had the opportunity to play wherever he wanted to play be it QB, WR or in the secondary.

CNS has been big on hammering the point that he will play the best players. If Blake comes in and is impressive at the QB position on the college level, I'd like to think that's where he'd be.

Personally when I see him play I just get flashbacks to David Palmer and I think he could be that at Alabama.

He's a big Georgia fan, so I'm inclined to think that if he doesn't end up with the Tide it will be because he went to the Dawgs. Like I said though, it would be a great steal for UT.

You underestimate the power of the dark lord.

This is the same Coach who has managed to convince 873 4 and 5 star Linebackers over the last 3 years that all of them would get a chance to play/start as true freshmen at Bammer.

Truly fascinating.

5* RB Marcus Lattimore has narrowed his list to 4 schools.

Oregon, Penn State, Auburn, and South Carolina.


He was quoted yesterday as saying that 2 schools, that he won't say, stand out. The reason they stand out is because "my family can all come see me play", which basically screams USC and Auburn due to distance from his home.

I still feel really good about Auburn landing Lattimore.

It's true though, they all had/have a chance. Ro, Dont'a and Nico were all freshman starters.

Yeah, I know. It's just a running gag amongst AU folks because here we were with literally 5 SEC Caliber LBs on the entire team, and all those guys were still going to Bammer. They were guaranteed at least a ton of playing time, if not starting spots, at Auburn.


Thank God for Chizik and Co. coming in and actually able to go head to head in recruiting. We desperately needed a big, talented LB class like we have this season to help shore up the numbers.

White, Curry, Holland, and Owens will be welcome additions.

Rivals coming out with an updated top 100 tomorrow afternoon, I'm pretty sure it's their final list(not sure what else they would evaluate). List is going to have six new 5-stars and two 5-stars going down to 4-stars.
