What? No, he was punishing the kid for being a lazy piece of **** and for showing up to practice late. He was using the concussion as a reason for putting James in the "darkest" room possible since he was light-sensitive.

You guys and your know it all attitude. None of you know Adam James and have no evidence of his laziness, just regurgitating BS. We only have 2 statements sworn in and that is the only evidence we have. I haven't heard one team mate said he was lazy, just 3rd party rumors from people who don't know the daily goings on. The 2 statements is the only evidence at this point and so far under the penalty of perjury, the doctor said it was inappropriate and the trainer said it was inappropriate and their have been other players with concussions and they haven't been treated that way, hence his punishment not treatment. From the statements, their is no mention of laziness, just him going half speed because of his concussion and the coach didn't like that couple with the sun glasses.

All you guys that know what happened please give witness statements, go on record with your BS. Otherwise stop trying to crucify a kid with your mob mentality, it doesn't look good.

You're borderline delusional, or maybe I should just say that you haven't been following the story. Did you not see the statements from Leach and the other coach from Houston (documented by the way which you obviously haven't seen or heard or just refuse to see or hear) saying that he was lazy and a punk? Do you think we just made that up?

StingmGT is taking their words over Adam James' but by all means please continue on your crusade kiddo.

Again their is only 2 statements that are in evidence(affidavits) no one else has a sworn affidavit besides the trainer and the dr. . Mike Leach statement isn't evidence at all at this point its hearsay and all other statements that are made without an affidavit i.e. sworn statement is hearsay. So yes I'm delusional, so when Mike Leach get his statement under oath and all other parties do the same and it stands up under scrutiny then you can make all those outlandish statement about someone you don't know, cause you want to be one of the cool kids.

there have been ex-players(ones that graduated the last 1-2 years) that have come out and stated that Adam is lazy and basically that Adam felt he should have everything handed to him. also the WR coach at the time of recruitment(i believe he is now the OC at Houston) also had a statement on him. he didn't want Leach to recruit Adam at all, but Leach gave Adam a chance. unfortunately Adam did not want to straighten up and ran to daddy. if you read other sources besides ESPN, you'll see them.

More blah, blah, blah. When those so-called players get called upon by Mike Leach to be witnesses, then we will see what lazy is, so far we don't know what lazy is to see if it is what they say it is. If lazy is he didn't do what everyone else did or is lazy he didn't go over and beyond what was asked. Adam James can say the same thing about those who point fingers at him and it is obvious he has friends on the team that already spoke out on his behalf, so the finger pointing can go both ways.

What we know and only know is Mike Leach Punished him not for his ailment, just for his disposition on the practice field, nothing more, nothing less. According to the trainers sworn statement.

if your only going with those, thats fine. I can't imagine anyone wanting to go on oath and bash Adam(or any one at that). so it'll likely not happen.

until something comes out that really make Leach look bad, I still don't think anything bad happened. it wasn't a good thing to do by any means, but it wasn't close to live threatening at all. there has been a lot worse things that has happened before, even at Tech with Bobby Knight. likely if this had happened 2-3 years ago, or if it was another player besides Adam James, it wouldn't be anywhere near this big.

another question. if the trainer didn't agree with what Leach supposedly told him to do with Adam, why didn't he object then or offer another solution? that doesn't make any sense. and according to the trainer, placing James in the media room(aka electrical closet by Adam James) 2 days later was not even Leach's idea. but then again Leach didn't object to it, so it's the about same situation as 2 day prier.

I just wish it would get settled, I'm tired of hearing about it every 5 minutes on ESPN.

If the student was light sensitive he shouldn't have reported to practice. He was recovering from a brain injury. I missed a week of school in bed recovering from my concussion. He sound like a coach that went overboard in trying to make a point.
