Braxton Miller at #56.
Trey DePriest at #93.
Christian Lemay at #65.

OSU commit Michael Bennet is the #1 DT in the nation right now (#30 overall), fellow commit DE Kenny Hayes is the #5 DE in the nation (#46 overall), and OSU lean Doran Grant is the #1 DB in the nation (#23 overall).

Overall, this is definately an early list. Miller and DePriest are both Top 10 players in the class, easily.

Yeah some of those rankings are real head scratchers, but this list will be completely different come the start of the regular season after players inflate (or in many cases over inflate) their stock at Summer combines. A lot of these kids now have been measured on nothing but their physical abilities, with no consideration of their football IQ or ability. Given that 10 FSU recruits are on the ESPNU 150 watch list, I thought more than one (#37 Karlos Williams) would have been the list, most notably CB Cortez Davis (Antonio Cromartie clone) and LB Terrance Smith.

I just can't wait to see a LB trio of Tony Steward, Christian Jones, and Jeff Luc in Tally, that will be a sick core of LBs.

I certainly wouldn't be surprised if he cracks 5* status by the end of process, teams have been all over him since his older brother Vince Williams was being recruited in 2007. He actually more or less committed to FSU as a HS freshman when Bowden did an in-home visit with Vince. He'll probably take a visit or two outside of FSU, but if he is anything like Vince off the field he'll be one of FSU's best recruiters in 2010 and will keep working with close friend Hasean Clinton-Dix (how isn't he a Top 10 player?!?!)

I just don't get the "we only want players who want to be at Miami" bit by Shannon. Obviously if they sign with Miami, 99.999% of the time it's where they wanted to be. On FSU's roster I can only think of one player I could say didn't want to be a Seminole and that was 4* OL Zebrie Sanders, who wanted to go to UF or UGA but waited too long to commit and they filled up leaving him with no options. Sort of like what Mitch Mustain did to himself when he reopened his recruitment then waited it out while other schools filled up leaving him with Arkansas.

Shannon and the higher-ups have made me not even care about recruiting or when the team loses. I'm llike "If they lose...oh well."

Jadeveon Clowney's rivals highlight reel is absolutely sick. Probably one of the top 3 High school highlight reels I have ever seen.

Clowney seem's to be Spurrier's to lose barring a massive disaster this season. Dude looks to be a BEAST.

I always find it hard to judge HS DL's with having no idea what level of competition they were facing. For a real good example of this go look for Kevin McNeil's highlight vids, talk about a kitten posing as a lion.

I am still wondering to myself how on earth Kassan Williams is not even in the Top 100. I thought he was a Top 3 WR in this years class. Scout has him as the number 14 overall player but they have a West Coast Bias. He should still be in there.

Clowney's squad played some of the top competition in the Carolina's the past 2 years.

I was just about to say...as pumped as AU fans were about this past year's top 5 class in which we signed 5 Rivals 100 members, we have a serious shot at possibly landing 7 this year.

I swear,

I know Florida, Texas, and California are always loaded to the brim with top prospects, but good lord...Louisiana, which isn't a particularly big state....puts out a ridiculous amount of top HS talent every year.

I'd venture to say that given the population difference, Louisiana produces the biggest ratio of top talent each year.

Which makes me shake my head even more over the Gerry Dinardo LSU years and the 8-8 SEC record the last 2 years at LSU.

Ryne Giddins was a top recruit, I think just outside of 5* range (I think one site had him as a 5*)
