Re: 2011 Recruiting Thread
The SEC Champions hosted several big time players in Auburn this weekend.
The biggest visitors, in terms of need, were Texas Commit OL Stephen Westerman and the top player out of New Jersey, RB Savon Huggins.
Auburn appears to have made a strong impression on both players. I doubt Westerman decommits from Texas though.
Huggins is a stud. The fact that AU only returns 2 backs in 2011 and is playing for a National Championship both make an impression on Huggins.
Auburn would like to sign 2 backs this year and Savon Huggins is at the top of the board along with Florida RB Tre Mason.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Charlie Strong is doing his best to bring in high level talent. If he can continue to bring in players, develop them and the program and win, he will become a legend in a place starving for success in football.A negative mind will never give you a positive life.

You guys have to be *****ing me!?? If these kids stick to their commitment and make it official on signing day, it will be a joyous day in Louisville come February!

Re: 2011 Recruiting Thread
This is more rumor than anything else... however, I have heard that 3* RB DeVondrick Nealy from Jefferson County HS, Florida now has Iowa State atop his board after a visit to Ames this month.
Nealy has his schools narrowed down to four (Iowa State, Arkansas, Michigan, Alabama) and has offers from three of those schools (all but Bama). This would be a big pickup for ISU... fingers crossedComment

Scout.com now reporting that Nealy has eliminated Arkansas and Alabama from consideration. He has it down to Michigan and Iowa State and says, "I want to surprise everyone."Comment

Re: 2011 Recruiting Thread
Almost embarrassed to be a Michigan fan right now as Anthony Zettel commits to Penn State. What an unbelievable failure on every level by every person even remotely associated with recruiting in Ann Arbor. From Brandon to Rodriguez to every assistant and recruiting coordinator. How amateurish.Comment
