Gabe Wright will be taking an OV to Knoxville Jan 14. Auburn currently leads

He also said his mom herself wanted to commit to Auburn in an earlier article. Kid is having fun messing with reporters.

Uhh not really... it was widely known Lattimore was going to South Carolina.

It was known when he actually made the announcement, but prior to that it wasn't.

It was known when he actually made the announcement, but prior to that it wasn't.

The only people that really missed on Lattimore were, coincidentally, Auburn fans, or Auburn insiders.

It actually was. Auburn was to Lattimore what Alabama has been to Clowney this year. An attractive option out of state that offers a great opportunity...and in the end, just like everybody predicted, they'll stay instate and play for Carolina. Auburn fans were literally the only ones who thought the Lattimore recruitment had suspense at the end.

It actually was. Auburn was to Lattimore what Alabama has been to Clowney this year. Auburn fans were literally the only ones who thought the Lattimore recruitment had suspense at the end.

Pretty much. Everyone outside of Auburn had Carolina as an overwhelming favorite to sign Lattimore. Clowney is the same way. He's "open", but if he signs anywhere else it would be incredibly shocking.

Clowney's coach is doing everything in his power to get him to go to anywhere but Carolina....coach is a Clemson fan.

Didn't work with Gilmore though so probably wont this year either.

Current Florida soft commit DE/OLB Ryan Shazier is making a visit to Columbus this week.

Word is he'll be a Buckeye soon. Would be great to add a 4* LB to this class.

Not exactly. This is one article quoting him as saying his mother "hated" Auburn. There are about a dozen other articles, all from the same site, where he repeatedly proclaims his love for AU, all but committed, etc. That included the quote from him that his Mom was more committed to AU than even he was.

It's not bizarre for a kid to suddenly do an about face, but it is bizarre to see him say his mother "hated" a place when in every previous article he said he and his family loved it.

Who knows.
