It's official. OT Christian Westerman decommits from Texas and commits to Auburn. Big big BIG pickup for AU.

Saw this earlier.

Initially, I thought this was a knee-jerk reaction on his part, but then again, can't really blame him after the seasons UT and AU had.

I don't think the seasons have much to do with it. If Auburn's OL coach had gone to Texas he would have stayed committed to Texas.

I was under the impression that Wiscy's o-line coach was the leading candidate in Austin, could be wrong though.

With the success he's had in Wisconsin, I'd imagine most top offensive linemen would love to play under him.

But then again, why go to the program where you don't even know who'd be coaching you in the fall and not the program with one of the best coaching staffs and OL coach's in the country.

Edit: Nevermind, I see they hired UGA's o-line coach.

We are stockpiling OL talent. AU had rivals #1 OL class last year. This year AU already has commits from the nation's #1 center, #2 guard, #3 tackle plus another Under armor All American Guard in Thomas O'Reilly. Damn.

He is yours if you want him. He fell in love with Clemson and Florida State loaded up at running back. There was no room for him when he contacted the coaches about their interest after he got dropped.

A lot of the disinterest from FSU had to do with his injuries as well. Who knows if he comes to Knoxville or if he will pan out, but we need bodies in the backfield

We lose a boatload of everything this year. Nice to have one of the best recruiting staffs in the nation to bring in reinforcements.

UofL adds two more 3* CB's to its recruiting class.

5'9 180lb Andrew Johnson from Miami, FL

6'0 160lb Jacquese Kirk from Jasper, AL

Strong continues to hit the south, particualry Florida hard.

BTW...the two aforementioned players are soft verbals, as is Gerrod Holliman.
