Touted linebacker Trey DePriest chooses Alabama over Ohio State
Alabama picked up commitment No. 16 today in the form of highly coveted linebacker Trey DePriest of Springfield, Ohio.
The 6-foot-2, 230 pound DePriest committed to Alabama over local favorite Ohio State moments ago at a restaurant near his home. Rivals has DePriest as a four-star prospect on its five-star scale and the nation's sixth-best linebacker. Scout has him as a five-star and the nation's third-best linebacker.PS: You guys are great.

Re: 2011 Recruiting Thread
Irish land 4*(Rivals)all-purpose back out of Michigan, Justice Hayes!
Most Impressive: Very, very quick back with good speed and ball skills. Hayes is very versatile and could play defensive back, wide receiver or running back at the next level. He is a high-character kid that possesses serious leadership skills.
Conclusion: This kid will work hard and learn the playbook before most other incoming freshmen in his class. He has the ability to be a punt returner and a gunner on all kicks. He adds instant speed and will be hard to keep off the field.
Nice pick up for BK............

Now you just need to hope Michigan doesn't win 8 games this year.Comment

Re: 2011 Recruiting Thread
So Bama thinks Clowney is going there...i will believe it when I see it.
Also dont think Steward is coming to Clemson. He now has FSU and Clemson in the top spot but his comment about not leaving the state to find what he is looking for in a school is not very comforting. I will go ahead and say he is going to FSU, that way I wont be disappointed when he does.Comment

Re: 2011 Recruiting Thread
Yep.
It's a long way til' signing day, but the so called inside word I'm 'hearing' is that it's really down to UA and UF at this point, and if he were to announce right now, he'd choose Alabama. Again though, it's a long way til' signing day and Alabama likes their chances as much as anyone.PS: You guys are great.

Re: 2011 Recruiting Thread
Yep, it was a banner flipping day at the Kelly household.
The Irish received verbals from
4* RB Justice Hayes out of Michigan
**see above**
4* Anthony Rabasa(DE/OLB)
The 10th-best defensive end in his class by ESPN, Rabasa chose the Irish over an impressive list of cohorts, such as Florida, Florida State, LSU, Miami, and UCLA.
and if reports are correct, as of tomorrow morning
which at this point looks very likely, the Irish will be getting 4* Aaron Lynch, one of the best defensive ends in this class. Lynch is ranked as this sixth-best defensive end by Rivals and was near the top of Notre Dame's wish list this year.
also had offers from
Florida
Florida State
Miami
Ohio State
Auburn
Alabama
West Virginia
Clemson
North Carolina
You add Rabasa and Lynch, along with Louis Nix(DT) and the Irish have a very strong front 3 for the next 3 years!Last edited by bluengold34_OS; 07-31-2010, 12:14 AM.Twitch - bluengold34_osComment

Re: 2011 Recruiting Thread
I never said anyone told me they were out. I said right now, it's being said that it's more UA/UF than anything but that it's also a long way til' signing day and that I like Bama's chances as much as anyone's. I also said "nope", as in I'm not forgetting about S. Carolina.PS: You guys are great.
