My hope is that Alabama crushes Carolina in October with Clowney present.

Kasen Williams has trimmed his list down to 5 (In no actual order):
        Washington
        California
        Florida
        LSU
        Notre Dame

Big commit for Auburn from one of the top athletes in the nation.

6'5" 230 QB/Athlete C.J. Uzomah picks Auburn over LSU. He also had offers from Bammer, Clemson, Georgia, Miami, Tennessee, and others.

Uzomah will probably play Wide receiver at Auburn plus some "Wildcat" QB in the Malzahn offense.

Damn...we are signing some beastly looking WR prospects. Jaylon Denson out of Hoover, another AU commit, is 6'3" as is 6'3" WR commit Sammie Coates.

Trooper wants some big boys out there catching the football.

In other news, #3 rated DB in the nation, Jonathan Rose, is announcing his commitment tomorrow night. It will be Auburn.

I'm a big fan of Kaseen, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw him rated so low on the Rivals250. I believe he will be staying in Washington though when it comes down to it.

              The Irish received verbals from

              **see above**

              4* Anthony Rabasa(DE/OLB)

The 10th-best defensive end in his class by ESPN, Rabasa chose the Irish over an impressive list of cohorts, such as Florida, Florida State, LSU, Miami, and UCLA.

and if reports are correct, as of tomorrow morning

which at this point looks very likely, the Irish will be getting 4* Aaron Lynch, one of the best defensive ends in this class. Lynch is ranked as this sixth-best defensive end by Rivals and was near the top of Notre Dame's wish list this year.

              also had offers from

              Florida
              Florida State
              Miami
              Ohio State
              Auburn
              Alabama
              West Virginia
              Clemson
              North Carolina

You add Rabasa and Lynch, along with Louis Nix(DT) and the Irish have a very strong front 3 for the next 3 years!
They also got a verbal commit from Jalen Brown, a 3* CB from Texas. It's always great to see Notre Dame getting recruits from Texas.

If that were true, he wouldn't be the #1 prospect on Rivals. If he were in grade trouble, he'd be a fringe 5-star. Rivals is notorious for putting a lot of weight on grades.

Eddie Lacy is a good example. He was iffy on grades his entire SR year and due to that, he was ranked in the 101-250 range. If he was a slam dunk to get in, he would've been in the 40-50 range on Rivals.

Not necessarily. Everybody knew Sheldon Richardson was an academic risk, and he finished the 2009 rankings #4 overall. He's in JUCO now.

Rivals isn't going to put a guy #1 overall and then see him go JUCO.

Certainly not by the final rankings they won't, but this early on they sure could.

                            Rivals doesn't change #1's much.

IIRC, they also said when they released the 1st list that he was the consensus pick for it by the staff.

So when the Rivals.com recruiting analysts were asked who the best player in the Class of 2011 was, the debate lasted a total of about 30 seconds. Clowney ended up as the choice."
