Re: #6 LSU Tigers at #5 Auburn Tigers 2:30pm cst Saturday CBS

I've yet to see PP7 allow a catch to the man he's guarding this season(unless i wasn't paying attention) i highly doubt anyone he matches up against will have more then 2 catches. Not to mention I think LSU would much rather have Newton trying to pass the ball instead of running.

The LSU offense has plenty of talent and has put it together at times this year, so people can continue to write them off this game cause their offense sucks but don't be suprised if the talent they have finally decides to show up in a big game again.

People keeping saying that LSU has no shot to win, but come on for one it's a Les Miles coached team anything is possible. LSU has a great defense and a good running game, which can be a great formula if our D gets some stops then we just milk the clock and take some shots down the field

Gonna be a much closer game then people expect, this matchup is usually a good one

Don't let a few people's comments get to you so much. There are a lot of us who respect what LSU brings on Saturday and expect it to be a close game. The way our defense has been playing, I doubt LSU will have the most difficult time scoring on us. I may be wrong, but that's just how I feel.

Well, after reading the LSU message boards, I had no idea that LSU has the modern day equivalent of the '85 Chicago Bears.

LSU folks seem to think they will completely shut us down and Cam won't get 50 yards of offense. We've seen a Drake Nevis..his name is Nick Fairley and our guys block him everyday in practice. Petersen is awesome, but don't think he'll completely shut out Darvin.

A bad Florida offense put up quite a few points on LSU. I definitely think we score at least 30.

LSU will have to score 30+ to beat Auburn this weekend. Just my opinion.

In all fairness, Petersen hasn't faced any top caliber WRs all season..outside of North Carolina (who torched LSU in the second half by the way).

He hasn't played a Greg Childs, A.J. Green, Alshon Jeffrey, or Darvin Adams yet this season.

And just as LSU fans like to point out how Auburn hasn't faced a defense of LSU's caliber all year...

LSU hasn't faced an offense in the same stratosphere as Auburn this season. Vanderbilt, McNeese State, Florida...these aren't exactly stellar offenses.

Oh no way am i saying LSU's defense is the '85 Bears, if they were they wouldn't be ranked #6 in the nation.

Yeah we haven't faced any outstanding offenses this year, but Peterson pretty much shut down AJ Green and Julio Junes(when he wasn't on the sideline cramping) last year as a Sophomore soo all i'm saying is don't expect much from anyone peterson covers, anything can happen tho so we'll see.

We have the receivers to score on Auburn, but once again it comes down to if JJ or Lee can get them the ball

AJ Green had 100 yards and the go ahead TD right over Peterson.

Frankly a guy who suffers from cramps is in a worst case scenario when facing Auburn.

I keep thinking that the game isn't a good matchup for Auburn, but then I see LSU fans and I want to destroy their school/STD factory.

When did they overtake Arizona St.?

I wonder if we'll see PP7 play some nickel so he can spy on Cam. Outside of maybe Kelvin Sheppard, PP7 may be the only player on LSU's D that can match up with him from an athletic standpoint.
