I feel that at some point the SEC run has to end and with the SEC East being so down this year I think this could be it.

I'm not buying OU as every time they seem "favored" pre-season they flop. I like what Jimbo Fisher is doing at FSU and I don't think Texas is really as bad as they showed last year.

I see a bounce back year for Texas with Texas/FSU playing for the title.

The SEC east may be the competitive equivalent of the Big East, but the SEC west is possibly more dominant than ever this year. 3 potential NC teams with a wildcard team that can throw a wrench in the whole thing and I haven't even mentioned the defending champs yet. The only way, and I mean ONLY way the SEC doesn't win another NC is if the winner of the West finishes with more than 1 loss. That may sound like it's not too far-fetched but a team has finished the year undefeated each of the last 3 years.

                The only way?

So a SEC team finishing with one loss but 2 undefeated BCS teams making the NC game is out of the question?

A SEC team losing in the NC game is not a possibility too right?

This amazes me. With how great that lone division is, it's amazing it keeps pumping out undefeateds.

Anyway, I want to say Boise vs SEC champ but I can't honestly say I think that will happen...

The SEC Champ should and probably would get the nod anyway.

                      No, not possible.

Since the SEC has won five in a row, I think the champ should be in the NCG with a loss over two undefeateds. And I hate the SEC lol. If two non-SEC undefeateds go to the NCG and there's a one loss SEC team out there I wouldn't feel like the champoion earned it.

The next non-SEC champion needs to go throung the SEC champion.

Now if Oregon goes undefeated and LSU ends up being the SEC champ then I'd be okay with Oregon vs someone else since they would have already gone through the SEC champ.

Basically, unless playing the greatest team of all-time, the SEC wins the national title game when they play in it.

I'd go back further but if you do that, there weren't really any true national title games.

Why should the SEC Champ get the nod over a undefeated Big 12, Big 10, ACC, PAC 12 team?

I didn't know SEC Championship = Automatic Birth into the National Championship game.

Amazing, isn't it? Already discounting undefeated seasons 2 months before kickoff.

That being said, I guess I'll go with Bama over OU. Gross.
