Re: Conference Re-Alignment Thread Part Who Knows
Well, as somebody who follows Texas Christian (actually have been to more TCU games than Aggie games), I don't really like the idea of going to the Big XII. Does it have an AQ? Yeah. Is it closer to the local schools? Yeah. Are they going to get money whipped like the Aggies, Sooners, and all the other teams if they move to the Big XII? Yeah. I mean, the Big East isn't much better, but you can at least compete with the schools at that level.Rangers - Cowboys - Aggies - Stars - Mavericks

Re: Conference Re-Alignment Thread Part Who Knows
The big thing for me is that I don't want to see Texas Christian fall back into obscurity. It's fine when a small team like Baylor or one of the northern teams comes to visit, but when it comes to teams like Oklahoma and Texas, I fear that it's going to be a virtual home game for them. Not only that, but I'd rather have a chance for first place in a weaker Big East than fourth place in a new Big XII.Rangers - Cowboys - Aggies - Stars - Mavericks

I still think TCU would do well for themselves in the Big 12.Ryan Spencer

I don't see OU and OSU staying for some reason. That's gonna leave the Big12 looking like this...

Re: Conference Re-Alignment Thread Part Who Knows
I've read that Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State will be asked to sign 5 year agreements to not try to leave. I think that's something a lot of conferences should consider doing. The only conferences that don't have to worry about anyone leaving are the SEC, B1G, and Pac 12.Comment

Re: Conference Re-Alignment Thread Part Who Knows
On the flip side this could be a great way to silence all the critics who said that teams like TCU and Boise didn't belong in the MNC or BCS conversation. Nothing says we belong like playing in a conference with Texas, Oklahoma, Mizzou, etc. Winning that conference or coming out of it with 10+ win seasons will mean more than running the table in the Big East year in and year out.Rangers - Cowboys - Aggies - Stars - Mavericks

Re: Conference Re-Alignment Thread Part Who Knows
Missouri is having a press conference at 6:45 CDT tonight. Will they announce that they are remaining in the Big 12 or going to the SEC? Or will they really shock us in some way by announcing that they have accepted an invitation to the Big 10 (pure speculation on my part)?Comment
