It sounds like there may be some serious teeth to the Louisville to the Big 12 rumor, judging from the UL message boards. I am assuming the rumor has UL, WVU, and BYU joining the Big 12, but I am not sure of this.

Mizzou doesn’t commit to Big 12, SEC still an option
COLUMBIA | The fractured Big 12 Conference attempted to join hands and unify Thursday night, but Missouri’s grip may not be as tight.
Not only did MU chancellor Brady Deaton and athletic director Mike Alden decline to confirm the university’s commitment in the long or short term to the Big 12, the Tigers’ interest in the Southeastern Conference is very much alive.

UConn to get in the ACC as soon as the Irish make up their mind.
So it's either:
UConn/ND or UConn/RutgersComment

Re: Conference Re-Alignment Thread Part Who Knows
Mizzou indeed doesn't sound committed at all. If the Big 12-3's only concession is to get rid of Beebe and go add BYU as scarcely a sufficient replacement for Texas A&M, I wouldn't commit yet either. I'd be waiting for several more concessions before I bolted for the SEC too. If Missouri has a standing SEC offer, they have a lot of leverage to get what they want changed. Even if some more changes were made, I'd rather go make a lot more money being irrelevant in the SEC than battling Oklahoma State and Texas Tech to decide who is 3rd behind Oklahoma and Texas annually. Mizzou could fit Kansas in the OOC if they wanted to, and would have a nice rivalry with Arkansas. LSU and Aggie could then be rivals. But of course Mizzou needs to be careful. They were certain they were getting into the Big 10 last year. They surely will handle it better, so based on them telling people you wouldn't look foolish to assume the SEC was a possibility, it sounds like they do have a standing offer and they are strongly considering it. They can't be stupid enough after last year to say things like this without knowing what their offer is.Comment

Re: Conference Re-Alignment Thread Part Who Knows
And why do people assume Oklahoma and Texas are invincible? Texas was awful last year. Some years ago, people also thought Nebraska could never be beaten... and then they stunk it up for many years until Pelini got them back on track. There was also a time when Colorado was a dominant force.
Plus, taking in more money in the SEC and being irrelevant and not as successful on the football field means less money through other means: ticket sales, mechandise sales, alum donations. Might not completely counter the added TV revenue, but it's something to consider.Ryan Spencer

Re: Conference Re-Alignment Thread Part Who Knows
I have no affiliation with the ACC, aside from watching, but if UConn and Rutgers or Notre Dame, that makes a better basketball conference than the Big East. North Carolina, Duke, Florida State, Maryland, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Syracuse, UConn, Pitt, Notre Dame/Rutgers! The Big East teams leaving doesn't bring much to the football table, but ACC Basketball will be highly impressive.Boston Red Sox

Re: Conference Re-Alignment Thread Part Who Knows
Yeah the UL boards are going crazy with this talk. I like Louisville in the Big 12, I've thought that they could take Louisville, TCU, & Boise State or WVUI've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

Mountain West Conference meeting with Conference USA next week to discuss a potential 22/24 team football conference for the other guys.
2 divisions....24 teams... BCS bowl bid championship game...
Just one BCS bid for a non-BCS school, but the BEST non-BCS team.
Sounds like a win win for me. Do it!!!
