The new ACC will be the Big East 2.0

The Big East, if it survives, will be CUSA 2.0

CUSA will be the Sun Belt 2.0

The Sun Belt will be the WAC 2.0

FSU, Clemson, VA Tech, and Miami need to find a football home instead of being stuck in a growing basketball conference

The Sun Belt would only have 2 WAC schools. They'd just be a random conglomeration of 1-AA schools.

Maybe, just maybe, ND will join the ACC for football and they can get them and a B12 team.
My only thought is, why would GT and UVA leave now, when the situation with Maryland has not been resolved yet. On top of that, both of those schools voted for the 52.2 million dollar buyout, so its gonna be hard to justify not paying in court.

On top of that, the B1G is already going to help Maryland get out of the ACC, even if they were going to work the money down to 30 million or so, that means 60 million for both GT and Maryland. Even with all the money that will be made with the big 10 network, they are giving a lot back to get these two mediocre programs.

Almost forgot, add in UVA's other problem of being tied to the hip of Va Tech. They would probably have to mak sure the Hokies had a spot in the SEC before they could leave.

If ... if ... if the rumors are true and UVA and GT are on the move, then it is going to get even crazier. I don't see how the football schools in the ACC can stay put.

We all know the SEC would grab FSU and Clemson out of the SEC and go to 16. B1G can only take AAU schools, and the Big East and ACC are dead too, leaving the Hokies to go to C-USA or the MAC. **** aaaaalllllll of this.

Calm down GIGGAS!!! Most people know if the SEC expands again, the Hokies and the NC State are probably going. Silve isn't going to grab teams in states they already have teams in. You are good.

I wish that would happen, but UF and SC will block any move. As cdawg44 mentioned, VT will be in the SEC before FSU or Clemson. Since FSU won't be allowed in, I'm hoping the ACC football teams join with the top Big 12 teams to form a new conference. Add ND and the SEC has competition.

Nope. UF and SCar block those additions, not to mention that the SEC is primarily interested in expanding the media footprint for their network. They have no reason to build the football pedigree of the conference.

That would make the ACC a weaker football conference.
If ND wouldn't join before all of these ACC departures there is no way they will join for football now.
