I don't think they would move us to the East. I think they would avoid that at all costs. If they did....I'd expect them to move both Auburn AND Alabama to the East and move Vanderbilt to the West to protect the Iron Bowl and keep it from being a possible "2 Iron Bowls in one year".

    It would look like this...

    SEC West
    Mizzou
    Arkansas
    Texas A&M
    LSU
    Miss. State
    Ole Miss
    Vanderbilt

    SEC East
    Auburn
    Alabama
    Florida
    Georgia
    Tennessee
    South Carolina
    Kentucky

Regardless...Good Lord almighty...if they did that you would have a Division in College Football with Auburn, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky, South Carolina. That's ridiculous.

You'd think, but that didn't stop the big 10 from separating OSU and Michigan. I think it'd be much less likely in this case though, considering the divisions are already well established.

That's why I don't think this would happen. Besides, I don't see them separating two schools who are <1 hour apart in Miss State and Alabama. If anything I could see them ****ting Vandy to the West just to prevent from moving Auburn, but when you think about geographics Auburn makes the most sense.

Someone on a blog, a fan, threw Tulane out there. "Vanderbilt of the West," was essentially their entire reasoning.

The Big Ten also named it's two divisions Legends and Leaders...that doesn't really speak well to the judgment of the Big Ten in regards to aligning conference divisions.

Vandy is in the east already so someone from the west would have to move to make each division 7 provided it's Mizzou that comes in. AA's scenario is plausible but damn that is a stiff division. I could also see them not moving Bama and take their chances on a Iron Bowl 2 in the SECCG. Whatever CBS/ESPN want is what will happen since expansion opens up the SEC to renegotiate a tv deal.

Would going to the the Big East mean they couldn't have the Longhorn Network? I'm really not sure on this.

The Pac 12 would let Texas keep the network, as the Pac 12 is considering having regional "Pac 12 Networks" - similar to how the Fox Sports Networks work.

aTm is still not out of the woods yet, and from some reports, Baylor could be the reason that this whole thing doesnt go through.

                      Hold everything folks.

The Southeastern Conference presidents met Tuesday night and voted to admit Texas A&M. But the vote came with a stipulation that still must be worked out.

The SEC presidents voted to admit Texas A&M as the 13th member of that league so long as each individual member of the Big 12 waives its right to litigation against the SEC.

And it was unclear Tuesday night if all nine remaining members of the Big 12 would waive that right, sources said. The Big 12 schools were expected to discuss the matter on Wednesday, sources said. That's the same day Texas A&M has planned a celebration in College Station to announce its admission into the SEC, sources said.

If even one of the Big 12 schools refuse to waive their right to sue the SEC over its courtship of Texas A&M, the SEC could withdraw its vote to admit A&M, sources said.

After letters were exchanged by SEC commissioner Mike Slive and Big 12 commissioner Dan Beebe Tuesday, Beebe told Slive the Big 12 conference office had waived its right to litigate against Texas A&M or the SEC but that the Big 12's waiver was not binding on the individual members of the Big 12, sources said.

The SEC indicated it would admit Texas A&M only upon condition that each individual member of the Big 12 waive its right to sue the SEC, sources said.

And that condition was in doubt Tuesday night, sources said.

                      Stay tuned.

they will waive it for enough cash.

Yeah, at this point, I dont see Baylor being the reason that this would get held up. At this point in the game, it is truely "a done deal".

Perhaps...perhaps not. Of all the schools in the Big XII, Baylor stands to lose the most if and when the conference dissolves; the Bears chances of landing another BCS conference spot are nonexistant. At the very least Baylor is in a position to command some serious financial compensation from TAMU and/or the SEC in return for waiving it's right to litigation. To not use that kind of leverage would be foolish.

Having said all that, I'm not so certain Baylor is the sole worry here for TAMU/SEC; the fact that Chip Brown (i.e. UT's Baghdad Bob) is putting the story out there makes me think the Horns might yet be heard from before all is said and done.
