K-State will go wherever Kansas goes
Iowa State is f'n up to me.
Baylor goes to a lesser conference and loses a ton of money and prestige.
A&M leaving has nothing to do with Baylor, but the leaving of A&M which could spell the end of the Big XII as we know it, has everything to do with Baylor. You must remember Baylor was an add in to the conference in the first place, and has benefited from this arrangment. They have a lot to lose if they go back to the level of UNT/Houston/SMU.
then part of me just think this is spitefulness which is probably 99.9% the case.Comment

actually when you really think about it, Baylor is the perfect school to do this. In fact Iowa State should be in on this too but I guess they don't care as much.

But they will end up better than Baylor, and if MU or WVU goes to the SEC it may open up another spot in the BE for them.Oklahoma State Cowboys 2011 Big XII Champions, 2012 Fiesta Bowl Champions

"Good Riddance to A&M"
"LOL...We won't even miss them"
"The Big 12 isn't going anywhere. Losing A&M is no big deal"
"Fine, let them leave. We'll go get Notre Dame and BYU and be even better"
etc., etc.,
As soon as the Aggies departure was imminent, this Conference started eating its own. OU and Texas talking to the Pac 12, Baylor threatening lawsuits, etc.

Btw, no program put more money in the conference coffers or made more money for the conference than Texas did. That is a fact as well.Comment

Despite it's corruptness, I really enjoy college football. But I find it even more enjoyable watching the Warlord presidents and ADs stab each other in the back at the first chance. Great stuff.Comment

Re: A&M to the SEC starting to blow up again on Twitter
Some rumors that Big 10 may have agreed to take Texas and the LHN as is. One condition is that Texas would have no access to the revenues generated by the B10 network.
Color me sceptical, but who the hell knows at this point.Comment

I read this post...and I can't help but laugh at the 285 posts in this thread earlier that sounded something like this....

5 years from now we will talk about this like the SMU Death Penalty, or the fingerpoke of doom in WCW. It was truly an arrogant move when it was announced and I just don't see how it will work in the current structure of the conference.. Sure a school like Baylor is going to need the Big XII to survive because they have no option, but everyone else has to be thinking of their Plan B. since UT put their Plan A. out there to basically say we're bigger than the conference. If UT leaves it's ovah... but now it could be over before they even get a chance to leave.
The LHN has put a divide in the Big XII and well like they always say, a house divided can not stand... It wouldn't surprise me to see OU launch their own network futher chipping away at what was an elite conference.Comment

Re: A&M to the SEC starting to blow up again on Twitter
Hearing rumors that Texas could drop down to FCS and join the Southland Conference. Reports indicate that the Longhorns would be able to keep the Longhorn Network and all revenue generated from other Southland schools.
Sorry, but I've heard Texas rumored to join the SEC, ACC, Pac-12, Big 10, and the Big East so far so I thought I might as well throw another outlandish rumor out there.Comment

Anyways, I hope Baylor manages to keep A&M to the SEC from happening. I, for one, am NOT looking forward to "superconferences" and would prefer to largely keep the status quo going forward.Comment
