Would be a terrific feel good film. Hopefully someone credible is working on it. We haven't had a good football movie since Friday Night Lights.

We Are Marshall, the Blind Side, Invincible (even though I'm a HUGE lifelong Philly fan) were all meh. The Replacements was ok but not really what I'm looking for, too much sillyness.

I must say.. Silver Linings Playbook, though not inherently a football movie per se, was awesome.

I liked the blind side, probably mostly because of Sandra Bullocks. But yes Friday Night Lights is on a different level. I gotta rewatch it sometime soon, its been a whole.

Two suspects have been charged and arraigned (well one is set to be arraigned today, and the other was arraigned yesterday) in connection with the death of EMU WR Demarius Reed.

Two 20-year-old Detroit men are set to face murder charges in the death of Eastern Michigan University football player Demarius Reed, according to court records.

Jerry Glandville applied for the head coaching job at Eastern Michigan.

I think it would be cool to see him back on the sidelines.

I'd love to have Glanville on the sidelines here. Could energize EMU's football program a little bit, and if nothing else, he can't be any worse than Ron English.

So some of the awards revealed their finalists today. Jace Amaro, Texas Tech's TE and projected Top 15 draft pick, isn't a finalist for the Mackey Award (which goes to the best TE). He has 92 receptions this season, and the 3 finalists have 108 catches COMBINED.

Probably has to do with the fact that his listed position is TE but in reality in college he's playing WR

You might want to rethink that. Glanville's last stop was a disaster. He went 9-24 at Portland State from 2007-09. He talked a big game about challenging Montana in the Big Sky Conference and being tougher than the Griz, but he set back the Vikings program a few years.

And he changed the team's uniforms to these ugly things:

The ones on the outside are not THAT bad, but the middle one is one of the worst jerseys I've ever seen.

I'll admit the jerseys weren't that bad. But PSU's school colors are green and black. Where was the green on those uniforms? Plus the helmets had a spear and barbed wire down the middle. A spear for a team nicknamed the Vikings? A little bit confusing...

SJSU's win over Fresno gives up 75 bowl eligible teams. There are only 70 spots.
