Why on Earth would they change the helmet???

I actually don't mind the jersey and pants, but the helmet is atrocious

Wha? Those uniforms are awful. Michigan's alternates this year suck as well.

14 days, 2 hours, and 15 minutes until the season kicks off. I can`t wait for South Carolina and Vanderbilt too get things started. There is no better sport in the world than College Football.

Minnesota just claimed the 1904 national title:

This puts them ahead of Michigan State and Tennessee and ties them with Ohio State, Harvard, Oklahoma, and Penn.

Here is a link to all the new uniforms and changes for this year.

Every college football team always has new uniforms all the time. Most people hate most of them. Let’s prepare our eyes for what’s coming in 2012.Follow @SBNationCFB

The irony of a Alabama fan commenting on this is just...palpable.

In an exclusive interview with a former Michigan player, who came to Michigan as a freshman in 2005, for a story coming later this fall on the transition from Lloyd Carr to Rich Rodriguez, I was told some very disturbing information regarding the 2007 Michigan football team.

In a shocking revelation, this former player told me that over half of Michigan’s defensive starters and several key offensive starters partied deep into the night the night before the 2007 Michigan vs. Appalachian State game, then smoked marijuana hours before kickoff in an effort to “see how bad we can beat ‘em up if we are stoned.” The player said that the Michigan secondary and linebackers were the main participants of this group, but the ring leader was an explosive offensive playmaker, who would later be suspended during his Michigan career for failing a drug test.

                  Wow, if true.

I would bet money on the "ringleader" being Mario Manningham.

I have seen that story float around in the past on The Wolverine. It was not that exact story but people on the board have brought that story up in some capacity.

The story would not surprise me at all with something like that happening under Carr.

Anyone see any good spreads for the opening week? I love taking UCF against Akron, giving away 24 but Akron is awful and UCF is pretty good.

I would also bet against Cuse in the opening game against Northwestern, unless coach is playing the media, nothing good has come out recently.
