I mean, it's not the best look. In a way it reads "I'm not getting my way so I'm going somewhere where it's easier".

But at the same time, players should absolutely be able to go wherever they feel is best.

I think part of Luke's problem was trying to live up to his brother.

I'm all about players doing what's best for him...... but in his case it's like ****.... maybe a G5 team or FCS team might be best.

Anyone remember why Russell Wilson transfers from NCS to Wisconsin? I can't remember if it was another player or dude he lose the job. So many transfers I forget ever story [emoji23]

Obviously the best transfer of all time is Joe Burrows from Ohio State to LSU [emoji23] jk

Would rather go to 8 first before going straight to 12, but it looks like we are going straight to 12 in a couple of years. I also find it weird that the 5-8 seeds get rewarded with hosting a playoff game on campus, but 1-4 teams don't get to experience that. I just think that's a bit odd. Sure, they get a bye, but I'd like to see the 1-4 teams get to host a game on their campuses as well.

Would love to see it. A shame it’ll take a couple years before it can become reality.

It'll be nice if it isn't always just Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson, *insert team * every year. With the current setup, as long as one of those high profile schools has one loss or less, they're a shoe in for the playoffs. Even if is an Alabama vs. Ohio State/Clemson/SEC team, that they earned it. There's always teams in the 5-8 range that people said they should've gotten in, and now they will have a chance. Just like one of the Non-Power 5 schools who go undefeated and ends in the top 12, they'll have a chance to prove themselves

Shall we take predictions for how long it'll take before increasing it to 16+?

It's been quite a few years ago now, but wasn't one of the original "arguments" against playoffs that it would be too hard on the students to add extra games? Now they're talking about adding playoff games like it's an Oprah giveaway.

Regular season is going to be meaningless for all top teams in a few years when this gets instituted. Even marquee matchups won't mean much since at most they will only impact playoff seeding. We're also just going to move the meter for "which teams should be in". Instead of arguing that #5 or #6 should be in place of #4, teams throughout the top 25 will be able to make a solid claim. The only benefit is that the Alabama/Clemson won't take up 50% of the playoff allotment every year, but that's a problem that would have worked itself out anyway.

Money is involved so it's inevitable, but this is not a good thing for the competition.

The Football Coach at NCSU at the time didn't want Russ playing football and baseball. Told him if he wanted to play baseball, he wouldn't be the QB the following year.
