Chip Kelly is leaving to become Raiders OC. Not overly surprising since there was a chance he wanted a NFL OC job last year. But, man are everyone leaving Ohio State after winning a chip

Re: College Football Off Topic
Chip is one of those coaches who just wants to coach. I feel a college HC has a more stressful demanding job than a NFL coach. There's so much you have to deal with when it comes to recruiting, dealing with donors, etc. It was crazy for a P4 HC in a seemingly good recruiting base to leave for coordinator position in the same conference. It feels like the only free time college coaches get are in the dead/quiet recruiting periods.
Wouldn't be surprised to see that trend continue like we saw last year when the BC HC leaving to be the Green Bay DC. NIL era and having to re-recruiting players every year. I'm all for players profiting off their NIL, but I don't care for seeing "Player X has agreed to a new deal to stay at the school". Either you adapt to the new era or get outComment

OSU promote Hartline to OC. Looking forward to seeing him as a Playcaller. I expect him to be P4 HC within next 2 years. He interviewed for the WVU job this offseason. With his WR reputation, he'll attract elite WRs and QBs as a HCComment

Re: College Football Off Topic
Incoming Pitt Freshman CB Mason Alexander was sadly killed in a car accident Saturday night. He was a 4* recruit, was going to enroll early and start spring practice later this month. From the little bit I saw of him on signing day and doing media recently, he seemed like a good kid with a promising future. He was only 18 man, way too young. RIP and prayers to his friends and family.Comment

Eh, it's just Stanford GM Andrew Luck (former Stanford QB) doing a favor for his former NFL head coach (former Stanford QB).
What's weird is the wording makes it seem like they aren't doing a search until *after* next season. If I were them, I'd be putting some research in over the next year, not waiting a year.Boston Red Sox

Yeah it doesn't make sense to wait to do a search. Reich already knows he's in a one and done situation, so it shouldn't be a distraction. What's the worse that can happen, you find your target early and hope he stays available. At the very least, either hire a search firm like others do or spend this year doing research and trying to work with AD in making this a more desirable jobComment
