So this announcing crew isn't even in Australia while they call this game?

        What is this bull****.

When everyone brings up Australia, why not just make the Outback Bowl there? I know it's been played in Tampa since conception, but the sponsor/location combintion just makes sense. Too much sense. Too much sense, perhaps, for it to even be a consideration. Allows us to cross the other river and as Watson said, the interest is there. Feel like an annual bowl game played in Australia would give it more significance and increase the already growing interest in American Football. Ach, whatever. College Football is back!

I feel bad for the Aussies that are being introduced to college football with this game. It's terrible.

Could be worse, think of those poor Irish fans that have to watch Boston College and Ga Tech next week.

Plus Aussie Rules Football scores generally have the winner scoring in the 100 range. So too much defense on display. Should have had Texas Tech and Baylor instead.

The Outback Bowl's location in Tampa actually makes sense given Outback Steakhouse is headquartered in Tampa, though.

Not to mention that there are like ten Outback Steakhouse in Australia. The Blooming Onion is also not a delicacy in Australia.

Agree with your first point but definitely not about the Aussie Rules comparison.

I'd say American Football most resembles Rugby League as opposed to Rugby Union - mainly because in League you get 6 plays or "tackles" of possession to try and score before turning the ball over sort of like downs.

Yeah, saying that anything resembles Aussie Rules is not true. It is a snowflake.

Gotta love that CAL found a cannon for the game. How would one try to acquire such a thing in a foreign country? Do they have a cannon connect in Australia?
