    Re: Week 13 Discussion

Miami just got flagged for a late hit when they hit the ball carrier out of bounds. He was in bounds, no whistles had been blown, and they knocked him out and Duke got 15 extra yards out of it?

I guess the ACC is getting payback for last year's embarrassing display?

Obviously we root for different teams, so some difference of opinion is to be expected, but that seemed like a good spot to me. Referee nailed it perfectly where JT's forward progress stopped.

That Michigan/Ohio St game was amazing!! Those two teams played a close game because they are great teams, not because they suck. I do think the refs should of done a measurement with it being that close to the marker just to be sure, but congrats to the Buckeyes!!

I agree, Michigan is the best two loss team out there. If things add up and work out, I think Michigan will make it in

So, uh, Pittsburgh beat Syracuse 76-61. That's a football game.

I didn't have a huge problem with the spot or the lack of an overturn.

Not going to happen but Alabama, Clemson, michigan, osu would have been a fantastic playoffs.

Not ONE holding penalty? Refs missed 2-4 PI calls, 2 of which were blatant. Not buying it and it turns into another OSU is just dominant narrative, which is nonsense.

Yes, the 3 Michigan turnovers gifting OSU 14 points obviously mattered. Of course the "look in the mirror" mistakes blah blah blah. But when it's such an even game and your drives are getting stopped and theirs are getting extended due to officiating, it became too much to overcome. When you have the literal 4th down stop in overtime to end the game and a bad spot ruins it, well? I mean c'mon.

All that said...OSU's run defense was better than expected today. It didn't seem the Michigan game plan ever tried to really force the issue and chip away with multiple rushes in a row probably due to disliking the match ups. Aside from JT Barrett's mediocre success running (most of the yardage was on 2 first half runs), stopping the run was the main thing OSU did consistently well.

This pretty clearly means they weren't holding, doesn't it? It's much easier to blame the refs than your own failings, but there are missed calls both ways in every game. Maybe Urban Meyer coaches teams that are more disciplined and mature than Jim Harbaugh? The guy isn't exactly a steady Eddie on the sidelines.

Get all the butthurt out of your system now. It's unhealthy to bottle it up. Look at Harbaugh. His inability to control himself cost his team today.

will the basketball game between these 2 have more or less scoring? I'd take the under.

I couldn't care less about the officiating.. that was a really good game. The 4th down/1st down spot in OT looked good to me, as a neutral fan.

Michigan just couldn't get it done, that simple. I think their defense was getting a bit gassed by OT. Seemed like OSU had the ball the last 30 min lol.

All the other garbage aside - this Michigan defense is the best in the nation and it got let down time and time again in the 2nd half of the season in the close games. I'll look back at this season as a huge missed opportunity because I'd take this defensive group up against any and all challengers.
