Using Team Builder to create NFL Teams and I need your help!

I plan on creating a NFL league using NCAA 10 and the Team Builder to do it.

The issue is that we know that anyone can create a team rated all the way across the board as 100 so I need restrictions to each player. I will only want the starters and key subs to have a rating because everyone else will be a 70 rated player. I want the overall rating first and than I can go in a tweak the individual ratings. I will be using the stretched Madden 10 rating formula. I will start this off with the Seahawks.

I plan on using the real players but they will rated between 50-70 so they didn't need to be posted. I will use the whole Seahawks team and every player. I have ran many leagues on APF 2K8 and have a good following so people are already sending me messages to join my leagues when I make them. I play a SIM style of game and that is how my league will be created.

I'm curious, why not just run your league using Madden '10? That way you wouldn't have this issue. Madden '10 seems like it will be a better game anyway. Is it the online dynasty aspect?

And if it is a dynasty you'll be recruiting players instead of drafting them. Then they'll be gone after every four years, some after just two. How will you handle that?

Doing it because I love the NFL more than NCAA and in leagues you control what happens in your leagues. The 4 year and gone aspect won't affect me. Don't get me wrong because I will have my High School team and College teams also but why not use the TB in every way you can.

Cory Redding is not an 80 overall. I'm a Lions fan. EVERY person around here thought he was the most overrated player around, because he did absolutely nothing after his one good season.

Not really clear on why you wouldn't just use Madden for this. Seems kind of excessive to go to all this trouble...

I might use this for historic teams, but I fail to see why you would need this for NCAA 10.

this to me makes no sense. Madden seems to have improved their gameplay more than NCAA, Madden already has the real NFL teams, Madden also has online dynasty, i really dont understand what the point of this would be when you can just get everything you want minus the work by just buying Madden. To each his own i guess.

Why dont u use teambuilder to start an old league like xfl or usfl and leave the nfl to madden but hell if your buying do what u want

OP, do us a favor and update the progress here as you go through your dynasty. This might turn out to be a brilliant idea after all. Looking forward to seeing what comes of it.

trust me i was in hitmans league on apf for two seasons and it was nothing but fun. he runs a tight ship and never allows for any nonsense. there was always attention to detail that seemed to me to be over the top when i was just looking at it, but let me tell you that was the appeal of his leagues that extra stuff really made it for me. i killed an entire weekend in a draft for our league just to get stomped for an entire season before i figured the game out. i would do it again if i had the time to commit to it. eric metcalf greatly under preformed for me

For the others this is why I want it in NCAA. I love the idea of creating my team 100% myself from the players, grass, stadium, uniforms and more. I will be renting Madden but I am buying this.

I have a wife, 2 sons, and a Manage at the place of my employment and I do fine with my priorities. When I ran leagues I only did drafts on weekends where my wife and kids went to visit family while I worked also. What is the difference between coming home and watching T.V. or playing a game instead?

Maybe you don;t have your priorities straight but don't question mine :wink:
