Actually he would not be able to do the Rams since you cannot change the color or edit the orginal helmet of Colorado State. But hey,how awesome to have the St. Louis Rams with green helmets and yellow ram on them. Maybe you can have the Rams wear Green jerseys like Notre Dame too. Wow. Yes do what you want, Im just telling you the logo idea on the helmet is not going to work like you think. Anything bigger than the Box will end up being really really really small so thats my point. Its a game, its free to use how so so if someone wants to create 32 nfl teams, awesome. my guess madden will be bought anyways.

I am with you a 100 percent. Hard to tell exactly whats going to happen until the site loads. I thought it would have been easy to fix, like a move button in photoshop or Gimp but according to OMT it is a big deal. Maybe in the future EA should just make a fully customized game that lets you make your own leagues, conferences, playoff system but just get the rights from the NFL and NCAA so we have more options with stadiums in such. Im dreaming I know.Comment

Re: Using Team Builder to create NFL Teams and I need your help!
i think your way off here. let's go through all the teams you mentioned. first we'll start with all the teams you say too stretched for. that is your opinion and that's fine, but for alot of people the logo being a little bit too small won't be an issue. I'm really not sure where you get "won't fit" for any team. with the options available you can make any logo fit it's just a matter of again perhaps being too small. I understand the Bengals, but you could always use their logo on the helmet. Seahawks okay so maybe it won't wrap all the way around but that's not a huge deal if the rest of the uniform looks good. two teams that you're way way off on are the Rams and Eagles. For the Rams have you never heard of a school called Colorado St? In case you're unaware they have the exact same helmet design. For the Eagles I've heard many people say that wings are an available option here. Now I won't truely believe until I see it, but i'm willing to wait and see before writing it off. Bottom is we won't really know how everything looks until the site goes up so until then and unless you have some sort special access to it I think you should keep quiet.Comment

"You can't edit an existing team's helmet. Are you talking about the ram horn helmet? That is a "style" of helmet you can pick from when creating."
and
"No, you can't edit an existing uniform. You can select the Colorado State helmet style and make a blue and white one though."
So, while you can't change the colors of the Colorado State Rams helmet, you most certainly can change the color of the "Rams horns" styled helmet. So, it all works out anyway.Last edited by 2krules; 05-13-2009, 04:43 PM.Comment

Re: Using Team Builder to create NFL Teams and I need your help!
Yeah I have heard of Colorado State. But have you heard of the St. Louis Rams wearing Green helmets with gold ram logos? You cannot change the color or edit any of the pre-existing helmets. So nice try. Take Florida States decal. Since half the arrowhead and the rest are too long to fit in a box, you would have to shrink that. Can you imagine how small that will be, so basically unless you play ZOOM you wont even be able to tell what that little line is. Youll see when the site comes out what I am talking about. As far as me being quiet, what are you talking about on here acting like you know how it is going to be. The helmet has a 256x256 box for your logo to fit in, and I hate to tell you this but that is not going to change. long logos or high or low logos are not going to work as well as the steelers. Im going to go play Ncaa 09 and pretend the Colorado State Rams are the Rams.Comment

I don't usually do "I told you so"s, but since you were too stubborn to admit you were wrong, even when we showed you what OMT said: here...
This "I Told You So" is for you:

What is that helmet style I see on the bottom row, 4th from left? Why I do declare, that sure looks like Rams horns to me...Comment

Holy cow! I've never seen those screenshots until today, and it is looking really good. My hopes for accuracy are nearly becoming true.Rangers - Cowboys - Aggies - Stars - Mavericks

Re: Using Team Builder to create NFL Teams and I need your help!
This is what OMT said today about changing the colors of the Rams helmets.
"You can't edit an existing team's helmet. Are you talking about the ram horn helmet? That is a "style" of helmet you can pick from when creating."

"No, you can't edit an existing uniform. You can select the Colorado State helmet style and make a blue and white one though."

Wow the Rams helmet is on there congrats to you. I still do not know how all the NFL teams are going to look. I mean your comment on using another logo for the Bengals was just pure genius. I might as well just go rent All Pro Football. Notice how you said can change the color of the already NCAA helmets. Well in the team xbox shots, I just noticed a helmet in the options that had the rams on them, doesnt look like they changed anything to do with Colorado State. But I got better things to do so have fun. Your idea is going to get old after like 24 hours just wait and see. Oh wow, I totally didnt even see you realize you cannot still edit NCAA helmets. Wow, my badComment

I did not say that. I said that the Rams horn helmet is a style and that you can change the colors of that style.
Still, I might make a alternate Cowboys and Rams teams for my friend and I, because I like changing the uniforms around.
At least you admit you were wrong about something. These are baby steps, but they're better than nothing.Last edited by 2krules; 05-21-2009, 11:23 PM.Comment

and no you can't change Colorado States helmet color we've known that for some time, but what you can do which has been pointed out to you over and over is use the generic Ram stripe that's in teambuilder and make it whatever color you like. get it now?
also, this was never my or 2ks idea neither of us are the OP. we just have an open mind and don't feel the need to crap on what he's trying to do for no reason.Comment

Re: Using Team Builder to create NFL Teams and I need your help!
you can go back to the Bengals throwbacks were it was just orange and said bengals in letters on the helmet.
i dont understand why people have the time to troll a forum and flame people who have found something that is entertaining to them. the primary argument is you cant do this team you shouldnt waist your time playing a nfl looking team with the college game. WHY DO YOU CARE WHAT THEY DO? if your just going to argue with people who in thier mind have already eliminated the problems you keep bringing up, then you are really waisting your time. its more pointless to do the same thing over and over again and expect different results eh?
the point of the team builder is to be original and fun... no one is flaming people for putting hs teams in there, then why bother flaming nfl teams? and they made comments like i wish i had the time but i have a job... well your job must be to sit around and do nothing if your in a forum under a subject that doesnt intrest you durring work hours (or during the day which is the usual work hours)
im not trying to be offesive to any individuals i just have no paitence for people who ruin the fun of others. they have had one post asking for help then 4 pages of people arguing. i cant spell either yea we know... because grammar is going to be the first thing that someone who doesnt agree with me but doesnt have a valid point brings upComment
