Re: Official NCAA Football 10 Demo Impressions
I've seen this too -- I believe it is a glitch in the pursuit angles fix they made. The d-player seems obsessed with getting the angle set up when he could just turn around and make the tackle instead.Comment

Re: Official NCAA Football 10 Demo Impressions
hehe my bad, just confused by his answer. It would have been more clear if he answered like this...
"I thought this was fixed in the demo. Both the clock rules on first down and the CPU hurry up logic had a bug. I know it is fixed in the final game."Comment

Playing on AA, Running seems MUCH harder than passing but after two games I would say it plays well.Comment

Re: Official NCAA Football 10 Demo Impressions
I really suck at this game, I haven't won a game yet, lmao. The only thing I'm not liking is the CPU intercepting any pass that comes slightly near them. Really have to get used to the game again.
I got dicked in OT on an incomplete pass that was ruled a fumble. Almost hurled the controller.
Overall I really like the game but the presentation is just terrible. Hopefully I can get it for my B-day because I still don't feel it's worth my own dollars.http://twitter.com/sageinfinite

Re: Official NCAA Football 10 Demo Impressions
My pluses and minuses:
+ The defense is clearly tighter than 09 with the back 7
+ the give me passes to the flats are gone
+ More drops/incompletions that were not not just dropped picks
+ I do like the strategies part of the game
- I would like to see at least 1/2 of these sack throws just fall incomplete in the backfield. Would raise the incompletions %
- I wasn't a fan of the new camera
- running for both sides was harder. And anything wide really didn't seem useful. More a problem for Florida i thought.
- Its still kinda easy to drive the ball. Just look at the score some are posting- these are 2 minutes quarters.
Overall, if you factor in the newness of the demo and the general fondness of college football- the demo is decent and the game is back on my radar.Gamertag and PSN Name: RomanCaesarComment

Re: Official NCAA Football 10 Demo Impressions
I knew something was missing. They took out the left stick jukes!!
I loved that. What was the reason behind taking this out devs?Comment

Re: Official NCAA Football 10 Demo Impressions
This tells me that most drives are being done via the pass. Have you (or anyone) had success mixing it up? or having a drive just running the ball down the CPU's throat? How about the CPU? are they only moving the ball via the pass? I'm sure the play calling is hampered by the two minute quarters.... arrghhh.Comment

Re: Official NCAA Football 10 Demo Impressions
I just played the NCAA Football 10 demo and I want to post some impressions and footage of the game so people can see it in action! The demo is 1.57 GB and you can either play as the Florida Gators or the Oklahoma Sooners. The impressions and footage you will read and see is of myself playing as the Oklahoma Sooners on the All-American difficulty.
It is kind of hard to get a lot of impressions in, when all you are allowed to play is 2 minute quarters. I do think the game feels much more fluid than it has in years past. They have some interesting but more realistic tackles when a defender approaches you from behind. They also had two challenges that were both incorrect and corrected via booth challenges, which was reassuring to see! I really enjoyed the closeups of the players after every single player, which you can definitely see in the videos. In brings a different element of presentation into the game. Seeing the players react after every single play in a close up camera angle is great. Finally, the addition of player lock is pretty sweet. As you can see I try it out a couple of times during the demo.
Overall I think the game is pretty fun, and much more polished than it has been in recent years.

Re: Official NCAA Football 10 Demo Impressions
I think I need to apologize to EA, this demo is tight. I just won my 2nd game 10-6 with Florida. The biggest predetermined gripe I had with the game was the potential lack of a pass rush and I was being way to presumptuous, being that I had quite a fun time wreaking havoc on Sam Bradford. I love the game plan feature as well. I really like the way the receivers run their routes, the incompletions, and the overall feel of the game.
The presentation is lacking but I don't think it's a make or break situation. Overall, this is a solid demo IMO. Once again I apologize to EA.Comment
