Re: NCAA Football 11 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here
Chew Clock is in the demo.
Go to Gameplan (press X after you pick your formation), then scroll to "Tempo", and turn it to conservative. This will turn Chew Clock on.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 11 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here
After not being impressed initially, I am liking the game the more I play.
Positives
-Blocking seems to be improved in the running game, barely seen any missed blocks on runs.
-CPU QB seems to play more realistic and more like a human controlled player would. Even on Heisman I see a good variety of throws from the CPU. They also seem more willing to take the sack.
-Presentation is better, still could be better, but the pregrame entrances and other presentation elements at least add something to what was bare bones presentation in previous years.
- Like that the game seems be seems slowed down a little.
- Haven't seen any superhuman plays from defensive players on pass plays like were present in past games.
-Playbooks are deep. Like that they added more screen passes and more importantly they function properly. Not to mention the read option actually works now, which is great.
- CPU running backs seem be more difficult to stop than past years as they seem smarter in terms of hitting the hole appropriately
Negatives
- Graphics don't seem that great to me, notice alot of jaggies. Colors also seem to still be muddy. I know this isn't my tv since I have it pretty well calibrated to limit jaggies and other games looks alot better. Hopefully this is just a demo issue.
- I may be alone on this, but I really don't like the higher camera angle. Did they say if there was camera options in the full game? I really hope so.
- Like others have said, players seem to almost be skating or gliding. Locomotion has helped to limit things like stopping on a dime and changing directions, but running still seems to not be naturally looking.
- Hate the new playcall screen. Why they changed it is beyond me. The other one was perfectly fine, change just for the sake of change is not good.
-QB's seem to have way to much time in the pocket, defensive pass rush seems way too weak. Rushing just 4 seems useless. Thankfully this should be fixable with sliders in the full game.
- Some animation are still pretty ugly looking. Tackle animations don't seem very diverse . Seem to be seeing the same 2 or 3 over and over. Playing Backbreaker the last couple of weeks makes the repetitive tackle animations stand out more so than in the past, at least to me.
Overall I like it, it is defiantly an good improvement just not blown away like I hoped I would be.Last edited by mgoblue678; 06-15-2010, 06:17 AM.My Teams

I have looked a few times but cant figure out how to turn off the long box (on offense and defense) that shows you what buttons to use for audible, shift linbackers, coverage, etc..... Thanks for any help.Comment

Almost the exact feelings i had. I would add the following opinions to yours:
Pro
i like the player models alot better this year and i thought the graphics were good enough.
Cons
I am really disappointed other QB ratings didn't make its way into the game. It makes the QBs vary less than they should be. Especially, if the QBs don't run much.
Still in question for me
I played against OSU 7 times and Pryor ran twice and passed quite a bit- scrambling QBs rarely ran last year. Not saying its broken, just saying its something to keep an eye on.
Fatigue was almost non existent last year. Even with formation subs- i hope its much bigger factorLast edited by dkrause1971; 06-15-2010, 07:07 AM.Gamertag and PSN Name: RomanCaesarComment
