I like what you got going on. Two small suggestions
- Move Georgia and Florida State back to original conferences.

- Notre Dame should be in the Big East, I understand the Michigan Rivalry, but Notre Dame is a Big East team. Flip TCU and Notre Dame maybe!?

Does the game automatically make Georgia play Georgia Tech every year and Florida play Florida State? That was the main reason for that switch.

As for Notre Dame, I'd like for them to be in the Big East, but TCU is already going there IRL in 2012 so I'm not really sure what to do there.

BTW has it been confirmed we can add conference title games to conferences that don't have them (MWC, Big East etc)

you're given a conference title game if your conference has 12 teams. basically your forced to have one if the conference gets to at least 12 as I understand it

Using Team Builder to create the United States Marine Corps and add them to the Independents based in Philly, or base them at Parris Island and bring them into the SEC with FSU, Texas A&M, and Miami. Then either keep the SEC that way or split divisions into North and South.

I might make a Tulane team on TB to replace the existing Tulane to kind of help them out in the SEC West and then add Ga. Tech to the SEC East. May even add Southern Miss and Troy to the SEC West(one new and one to replace the departing Arkansas), and FSU to the SEC East... to make a 16 team super conference...

Haven't really thought about who to add to the PAC 12 to make the PAC 16...

I want the Big12 to have a Southwest division(made up of the old SWC) and then a Big Eight division somewhat like what that one guy said he was doing back on page 12. For my other super conference...

B1G will most likely keep all the same teams, but I'll split them into East/West divisions and name them as such...

ACC may get one of the C-USA Florida teams like UCF to make up for losing Ga. Tech...and some other team for losing FSU...

MWC will keep its current line-up, but gain Hawaii, get TCU back, get BYU back, drop Air Force and pick up Nevada and gain BCS qualifying status.

Big East will most likely stay the same and lose AQ status, but might get some good bowl tie-ins to make up for the loss like the conference champion gets the Cap. One Bowl or something...

MAC,WAC,C-USA,Sun Belt, and Independents will remain largely the same, just with a few teams missing...

If the teams I bumped up suck too bad, I may use TB to "boost them" a little to make things more competitive...

I'm thinking about doing some sort of relegation/promotion system, too.

I have a month to think it over and draw it up...

Okay, I think I've finally settled on a pro-rel alignment (but probably not):

West:
Tier 1: Pac-12 (16 teams)
Tier 2: Big XII (8 teams)
Tier 3: MWC (8 teams)
Tier 4: WAC (8 teams)

South:
Tier 1: SEC (16 teams)
Tier 2: ACC (12 teams)
Tier 3: C-USA (9 teams)
Tier 4: Sun Belt (8 teams)

Northeast:
Tier 1: Big Ten (16 teams)
Tier 2: Big East (10 teams)
Tier 3: MAC (10 teams)

Army, Navy, and Notre Dame play in the Northeast

BYU plays in the West

Since you have to have 1 Indy team, I'm just going to put the very worst team of the bottom tiers as the one independent every year. So depending on who the worst team is, the bottom tiers could have one team fewer.

I'll probably go with 2 teams moving up and down between each tier, haven't quite decided for sure.

I've got alignments for 1978, 1991, 1998, and 2002 I can post if anyone is interested in using them. Now that we can get away with 32 independents, that's as far back as you can go, for a major change, to get a somewhat realistic setup with a little imagination (Sun Belt substitutes as the Southland and Big West occasionally). I just need to fix up divisions for a couple conferences. I tried to go back to 1969 when the PCAA and Pac 8 were formed but there were just too few teams in conferences so independents ran over. Also, any year in between is possible, but I picked these because they caught a major change, like the expansion to the Pac 10, the addition of the Big East, a larger C-USA and super WAC, and then really, the last setup before the first large realignment.

You say that at 12 teams, you automatically get a title game, which makes sense, but if you drop a conference below, does any one know if divisions and title games are automatically removed? Going back to pre-92 is pointless if my below-12 team BCS conferences still have all that.

I need to catch up on some info also because I remember reading some where that you could change bowl eligibility requirements, but maybe that was just referring to BCS tie-ins (which it would be nice to have all bowls, but 50% of these bowls didn't exist even 10-20 years ago, or had a different name, so it isn't true to life any way). I bet the 12-game schedule has to stay, but it'll be necessary to include games against the non-FBS teams that would be in the game like your Boise's and your Akron's and your UCF's, etc...

My first dynasty I'll keep it real. After awhile, I'll add Notre Dame into the Big Ten WHERE THEY BELONG. Can't help but laugh at Brian Kelly when he said "Being an independent is a tradition to Notre Dame" HAH! Tradition my right leg!

It's merely to add more customization to the game. Now, you can set up your dynasty the way YOU want to. If you want to keep things realistic, then do that. If you want to change things up (like move Arkansas State to the SEC where they'll get absolutely murdered) then you can do that. You know, lets say Boise State is getting too good and is winning multiple WAC conferences trophies. Well, now you can say "Hey Boise State, have fun playing in the PAC-12" (which with adding them it would become the PAC-13 lol). But it's a big thing for some guys who really want to customize the game to mess around, think outside the box, etc etc.

You need the feature to be realistic. You play to 2012, but you decided not to use the feature so TCU is still in the MWC. How is that realistic? :wink:

I too prefer realistic conferences, but about 10-15 years into dynasty, I like to think changes would happen.
