Re: So now that Custom Conferences are in what changes will you make?
Since we have to have at least 1 team in the independents and you can not dissolve a conference, it took some time for me to figure out how I am going to situate the conferences, but I have finally finished. I regionalized all the teams regardless of how big the school is.

Re: So now that Custom Conferences are in what changes will you make?
About invites though, since you control everything, it seems like we won't have that but instead we'll just have coach changes. That kind of sucks because if I feel like building a 1* up, I'll have to move them myself into a better conference sits I'll only be getting job offers year in and year out.Comment

Re: So now that Custom Conferences are in what changes will you make?
First thing I am doing is every conference champ gets into a BCS bowl. After that the Big 12 is going to have 12 teams again, with TCU and Houston added.
Another thing is since every conference gets into the BCS I am going to line up conferences both geographically and by prestige. Louisville, Kentucky, Western Kentucky will all be in one conference. Florida, FSU, Miami, and USF will be in the SEC, as will Ga. Tech. The Gamecocks will move back to the ACC. I'll also line up Tulane, So Miss, UAB, Troy, FAU, FIU, UCF, etc.Comment

Honestly, I'm going to completely overhaul the NCAA so many times over. I did it as well as I could in NCAA 11... Creating some pretty darn wild conferences. With the ability to alter the number of the teams in each conference and the postseason rules... it's going to be
Some things I want to do:
BCS = Completely At Large - No auto qualifiers from any specific conference. May cause some chaos
32 Independents - Heard this was possible, may cause some pretty entertaining outcomes.Comment

Re: So now that Custom Conferences are in what changes will you make?
I think besides the Air Force to Independent and Notre Dame to Big East, I plan on keeping the same conferences until I see something actually happen. Ill probably make one or two moves every year, depending on location/skills.
The plan by the end of it is too have several super conferences and have the other conferences be 4-6. But that will be in around 10-15 years of coaching, maybe even more.Comment

Re: So now that Custom Conferences are in what changes will you make?
I saw two spots on there labeled "open spots" under the bowl names. I assume you can add bowls to the BCS list. If not that is still 11 conferences and the independents. 12 champs = 6 bowls. That leaves two open spots if I can't add bowls to the BCS picture. I'd love to add the Cotton to the BCS bowl mix.Comment

Re: So now that Custom Conferences are in what changes will you make?
AGREED. It would make this so much easier. I could easily get rid of the WAC without having to stick 4 teams in there. Hopefully next year...
I would probably end up getting rid of the WAC and MWC probably, then just add those teams into the other conferences. Maybe instead of having the "Independent" conference, I could rename it the Service conference!? Hopefully another feature next year.Comment

Re: So now that Custom Conferences are in what changes will you make?
Yea, it would make my classic setups much easier. Luckily C-USA and the Big East still fit in rather nicely because they were built from historical independents, but realism would be a bit nicer with it. In order to delete conferences (which should mean we can rename conferences), they'd have to remove restrictions on independents and allow all bowl tie-ins to be modified.Comment

Re: So now that Custom Conferences are in what changes will you make?
If bowl tie-ins are in. And Conferences can have their AQ status taken away and given to another conference by the user... Can we pick what bowls are BCS bowls??? If so, bye bye Fiesta, hello Cotton... If not...next year, please???Last edited by Fredonia; 05-24-2011, 06:42 PM.I'm in the fight to cure cystic fibrosis, my life depends on it!

Re: So now that Custom Conferences are in what changes will you make?
I know you need 4 teams minimum for an active conference, but can we simply empty a conference and have it turned "off" for the dynasty? I was hoping to try a scenario where the Big 12 was dissolved and absorbed by other conferences (as almost really happened) but I didn't want to be forced to keep some gimped Big 12 with 4 bottom feeders in it.Comment
