Also, Pocketscout hasn’t been active for over a year.
I kept getting the message that was basically the start of this thread. I found the pocket scout file and loaded that up, and it actually worked. I wasn't able to import my dynasty info on to the editor it would just give me that error, until i used the pocketscout one. I didn't finish the product, so to speak, but i was able to make some changes with pocketscout because it actually displayed everything. Thanks for all the help this far, couldn't have done it without you. Any suggestions on what I should mod? What have you done?

Nice!!! I remember when it finally loaded for me for the first time too! It’s a great feeling! For me, I do the 4 team playoff, and sometimes I edit the schedule and stuff like that. I just basically mess around and create my own college football universe just how I like it.

You're the man, thank you. Obviously no way to get it so you don't have to mod each season for the playoffs? Gotta do it after conference championships right?

Yep, you have to do it every year, and also at conference championship week.

can't get it to save. incredibly frustrating. Once it worked, but a few bowl games were mixed up so i went back to try and fix it and now it won't save. it saves on the computer, i'll re open the file in ea db editor and it'll show all the changes i've made, but when i plug the USB back into the xbox the original files remain.

Make sure you are right clicking on your dynasty in Modio 5.3 and selecting Add File, and then replacing your old file.

I am rather new to this and I would like to install before I start my offline dynasty. Any feedback would be great. Just need help getting started with the correct program and downloadable link. Also do you have to use horizons for this?
I am having the same issues.

I am using a MAC and PS3, trying to modify a dynasty file for a 4 team playoff.

I used Bruteforce to decrypt the files. It created a ~files_decrypted_by_pfdtool.txt file.

                I renamed the USR-DATA to USR-DATA.mc02.

For the EA DB Editor, I used the PocketScout config.

When I try to open the USR-DATA.mc02, I get the following error:

Error - this is not a DB or MC02 file!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

                  Same, minus the MAC part.

If I find an answer, I will post something. I am following some dude on youtube that made it work with Windows.

                      Re: EA DB Editor error

Another weird thing is that when I try to open a file from EA DB Editor, the window pops up to choose the file and the "Files of Type" box has *.MC02. Only the USR-DATA.MC02 is available to choose in the window, which tells my that the mac and the EA DB Editor recognize this file as a .MC02 file for opening. But when I choose the USR-DATA.MC02 to open, the error "Error - this is not a .DB or .MC02 file!" appears.

I am guessing the error message is incorrect and there is another issue happening.

                        Re: EA DB Editor error

I give up. I have spent hours trying to make this work. When I tried to open a roster file in the EA DB Editor, at least I didn't get the error: "this is not a .DB or .MC02 file". The application just crashed instead.

                          Re: EA DB Editor error

                          So I have an update.

I finally got the USR-DATA.mc02 file to open on my MAC. Fortunately I read on some post in here that team builders will not work. So I started another dynasty with no team builders and that fixed the "Error - file is not a .DB or .MC02 file."

However, after I open the file in the EA DB Editor, anywhere I click on the data, the app crashes. This happens for all the config files. Anybody ever seen this???

So, I got hold of a windows laptop. I installed everything there as well. I am able to edit the dynasty file when I load the PocketScout and the NCAA dynasty config. But, when I load Xans config, I get this error:

"An item with the same key has already been added"

I am ok with using PocketScout, but I don't see anywhere you can modify the individual player stats? I would like to change all of my players' tackle stats because of the bug where I have like 5 players leading the nation in tackles.

I get the same error when I try to load in xan's config about the "key" issue, does anyone know a solution to this? I am trying to edit the heisman and preseason all american because I am sick of seeing a RG for alabama have heisman contendership haha, any help is greatly appreciated!

You can use Pocketscout’s config or you can edit the duplicate player ids out in the Madden 12 editor. You can find this editor on the last page in the 4 team playoff thread.

I also uploaded a change to the editor where I caught and trapped the duplicate ID exception. It is on Page 155 of the 4 team playoff thread. This is the post
