    RED RIVER SHOOTOUT
    3 TEXAS vs 5 OKLAHOMA

    1st Half
OU starts the game with a heavy dose of Dunlap in the run game which showed alot of success. Got inside the 10 and settled for a fg just to get points on the board. Hart takes off for a 19 yd run on the first play and ends the drive with a 8yd td run. Guz Malzahn's Auburn offense was cooking. 7-3 Tex. Both teams trade punts, but Texas's punt pins us at the 1. We take the safe route and end up punting out, setting UT up for a fg. 10-3 Tex. We punt again with Davis struggling, 3-7 passing at the time. We get to Hart on a sack leading to 3rd & 18 at the 8, so we dial up a blitz that works perfectly as Gibbons sacks Hart in the endzone. 10-5 Tex. Texas blitzes Davis but they leave Dunlap open in the flats, 29 easy yards on the drive. 3 plays later on 3rd 10 Davis throws a dot to Tray on a post. 12-10 OU 1:23. Texas goes to a screen and 4 verts the next drive giving up 2 sacks. Davis gets it back with 59 seconds and momentum, 5/5 on the drive with a td pass to Dunlap as time expires. 19-10 OU.

    2nd Half
First play Hart goes PA and sends 2 guys deep, Fountain picks it off over the shoulder and runs it back to the 50. Davis hits Terrell on 2 good connections snd Dunlap finishes it off with a 6yd run. 26-10. Teams trade punts, Texas gets it back and switches up the pace back to the run game. Owen gashes us for 7 then 24 on the ground. Hart throws a quick screen outside but Fountain is all over it. Pick 6. Both teams score one more in the 4th, backs up get a couple of drives, OU continues its dominance with a much needed 40-16 win. Dunlap is Player of the Game with 109 on the ground and 3 total tds. He's been playing good ball since I figured out how to use him. Davis at QB and Fountain at CB were incredible as well.

"We've found our identity. It took a few weeks and it took an ugly game in Gainesville to find some things but I like where we are right now. Offensively and defensively we've identified the things that worked for last years team but not this years team, and we've adjusted. Today was all about momentum though. That safety gave us a huge boost in energy, we follow that with 2 of Davis's best throws of the season. We played aggressive but smart and made plays. Keep an eye on Oklahoma. BOOOOOMERRRR!!!"

      WEEK 7

[emoji91] Game Of The Week [emoji91]
13 NOTRE DAME vs 4 ARMY

The biggest surprise from last week ended up being Army's dominating performance over then #2 Alabama who was undefeated. Army destroyed them from start to finish on both sides of the ball with a 45-24 win. Bama's defense giving up 45 was not as shocking as what Army did to their offense holding Harvey to 75 passing yards. No one expected that type of performance overall from Army but they showed out.

Notre Dame has been good but not great. I think most people are leaning towards Army after last week but there is one position group that makes me think this game can go a little differently and thats Notre Dame's LB core. The 3 best players on this roster are their LBs and all 3 of these kids will be playing on Sundays next year. If they cant manage the nations #2 ranked rushing offense who is avg 395.5 yards on the ground, then we can hand Army the trophy now. Alex Smith is a beast but this is the type of matchup you love to see.

If Notre Dame can somehow put Army in a box then we'll see how well the Army defense can respond. Right now they are playing with a lead in most games and staying off the field so the #1 ranked defense has an asterisk by it right now. Could be a great game down to the finish.

        Re: RIVALS 28-29

It was kinda weird playing Texas so soon after leaving there. We jumped out to a 14 point lead after a fumble by Texas. Texas ran mostly zone coverage all day, so the offense was clicking. Bell at Rb has really changed my offense, he's fast and shifty. Defense has been kinda a problem for us the last 2 weeks. You can just tell that my guys aren't very good at most positions. Texas had something like 13 official broken tackles but there was more tbh. If my offense didn't show up, we probably lose. A lot of offense from both teams today, both teams had over 500 yards of offense. Kinda thought Texas would be better on defense, it must be the defense they run. They were mostly running 4-2-5. LSU beats Texas, 56-42. ND beat #4 Army and Colorado beat #7 USC.

Had a feeling Texas wouldnt even score 28 on you tbh, their offense against me turned into straight screens and 4verts after the safety

They never ran 4 verts against me, maybe 2 or 3 screens that were tfl's. Honestly if the broken tackles weren't so crazy this game, they score maybe 21-28 points. Outside of the long broken tackles run's they had, they only had one other big play, a deep shot to Smith, where my shi*ty cb missed judged the ball.

15 VIRGINIA TECH vs 5 OKLAHOMA

                1st Half
We got ball first and it took every inch and every second to get the ball down field. Got to 4th and in on 10 and I went for it and got it, then got 4th and goal 4 plays later from the 4 and they stopped Dunlap on the outside. Drive took up almost the whole qtr. 1st and 10 from the 2 for VT and we send the house to get a safety, but their RB goes 98 yds after a broken tackle. 7-0 VT. 2nd drive is a 3&out but we return the favor on them. 3rd drive we get a rhythm going but Davis misses on 3 straight passes to end the drive, 2 shouldve been picked off. We take the fg. 7-3 VT. We force another 3&out by stopping their option attack and get it back with 1:21 hoping to get some points up before halftime. First play Tray goes on a post and Davis throws the perfect pass, 58 yds on the first play for a Sooner td. 10-7 OU.

                2nd Half
They get ball first and finally mix up their option offense. 12 yd run, 12 yd run, 22 yd run, 1 yd run, 14 yd run on the speed option. 5 plays 90 seconds, VT takes the lead back. 14-10 VT. Dunlap starts the drive with a 22 yd run, we get the offense going and on 3rd and 7 Davis finds Barrett open at the last second on a 26yd flag route. 17-14 OU. They get to about their 40 and have to punt after a sack on 3rd down. Offense is still clicking and we move it down. 3rd and goal from the 5 we call a pass and everything is boxed, but Davis see's Dunlap out in the flats at the last second again just as he cuts up and he catches it on the pylon. 5yd td pass, 24-14 going into the 4th. Both defenses held up in the 4th. OU would get one more fg and Fountain got a pick to seal it. OU wins a big on the road 27-14.

Made that decision for the rest of the season after Lawrence won us that TCU game. Lawrence is a game manager, Davis is a playmaker. I can do more in the running game with him and he has a bigger arm too especially once he gets going. Just hard to start fast with him. I've adjusted my offense a little bit to this personnel so I think we straight now

                        WEEK 8

                        [emoji91] 3 IOWA STATE (5-0) vs 13 TEXAS (4-2) [emoji91]

Iowa State is off to a great start just playing solid team ball all around. They dont have any crazy game breakers but they have been efficient on both sides of the ball. They are just now starting the "hard part" of their schedule, but their 35-32 win over Iowa, a team who was preseason top 15, definitely shows that they can win big games.

Texas is on the road dealing with a 2 game losing streak. Losses to OU and LSU have shaken the perception of Texas, but the talent is still there. Greg Hart had an exceptional day last week putting up 42 against LSU in the loss. He can still win and he will be as motivated as ever to end this losing streak against a top 5 team.

Herbstreit is going with Iowa State in this one, my gut just tells me that Texas is still who we thought they were. I expect a big day from Hart.

LSU is RTA. Think I may have found my next Qb. He's a 3* who's gone from a 70 overall to a 79 overall as of right now, also has 95 throwing power and his accuracy is in the mid 80's.

Business trip wont even drag it out.

Started off with a Florida vibe but we made some plays and got right.

Highlights were McNair getting moved back to where he was last year so he had his best game at Safety. Davis was phenomenal, offensive line was phenomenal, Dunlap had another good showing. I think Bedlam is next week, gotta show up and handle business again while we're hot.
